Really, I can not facepalm hard enough. See what I mean now when I talked about this in the podcast? I really really wished they would stop doing this in the games. This is even worse than the fanservice in the Storm 2 and even then that fanservice served both pairing choices. This is just....ugh.

I really wish they would keep crap like this out of the game.

I don't even know if I want to buy this game now simply because of this. Can't they just follow the manga for once and not make up crap like this? I don't even care if they shortened the story, but there is no need to make up crap like this and causing more problems in the pairing wars. This is like throwing gasoline on the fire.

I rather them not cater to any fandom. Including ours.

OMG I feel the same way I can't believe they did this. Cyberconnect are basically telling the gamer to chose NS, NH or even NI. Jeez why do they have to bring pairings to the game franchise? It's a freaking game! They really want to stir the pairings even more.

The problem is that Naruto is a real fictional character, if that make any sense. You're not Commander Shepard from Mass Effect. In that game, canon is what you make it to be. Naruto is based off somewhere, so you can't really manipulate the story. Trust me, even if it has crap load of NS, the idea of what they done is not necessary. Should have put RtN boss mode...

CC2 had added in some filler elements before with the original first movie stuff was added in Ultimate Ninja 2 (we didn't get it overseas though). I don't know why they left out RtN stuff when it is coming out in the same timeframe. They should've waited until April to release the game.

The anime at least realizes NaruSaku is real, even though there big Hinata fanatics. I don't exactly understand how anyone likes her though, till chapter 437, she didn't do anything impressive in the slightest (unless the fillers really did corrupt the fan-base)

Bad point because look at Karin. Besides Kagura's Eye and enhance chakra sensing abilities at the time, we didn't know any moveset available for her via Kishimoto. But then, CC2 gave her some originality with Taijutsu-melee attacks mixed in some ninja tools and a "poisonous" perfume spray.

I don't know not getting Generations means there is a lot of content for me that will be new but I can totally understand where people are coming from with how disappointed they are. Personally the only one that really annoys me are the Edo Kages because they've shown all the necessities to be playable and I'm pretty sure they've been cut out to be dlc (they were found playable in the games code I believe). I kind of feel the lack of characters from other countries (Karui, Omoi, Kitsuchi etc) isn't entirely CC2's fault, a lot of it lies on the manga lets be honest far too many characters were introduced rapidly from the Kage Summit onwards and most of them are minor at best, I can understand leaving them out.

But more and more it seems as though the game was rushed or put on the back burner for other titles. CC2 weren't nearly as prolific when Storm 2 was released, if anything that was the game that gave them the profile. I think its a matter of they are working on far too many titles to give equal attention to all of them, in between Storm 2 and 3 they have worked on Generations, Impact, Asura's Wrath, the story mode for Soul Calibur V, .Hack versus and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Some other smaller stuff was in there too.

It's a funny kind of impasse, on one hand it's obvious they aren't putting in nearly as much effort as they used to for the Naruto games and on the other hand they are still the only company that really shows such dedication and love to a licensed anime game.

I do miss the old days of CC2. Yes, I like their boss battle, but the idea of creativity is long gone. Looking back at Accel 2, it was awesome and felt like it hit the peak. When Storm 1 released, I was disappointed. Storm 2 was a hit and I really like how much they went back and do lots of good changes. Storm Generations was a swing and a miss. Shows that laziness once again. Storm 3, while undetermined, seems like I may go with swing and a miss again. While story mode is obviously changed, the fighting combat seems the same with some of a new system. The problem is the creativity of the game, like in Accel 2, we got team special and they are never been done in the manga. PSP are decent though. The bottom line is that they need to revamp it and make sure everything is intact. It would seem the next game can be the last and hopefully, there's nothing to fool around.

I made a rage face when I saw this. It's absolutely stupid, what's the point of this mission other than flaming the fires of the Shipping Civil War within the Naruto fandom? It already intensified enough with 615 and still remains to be more aggressive/insane than the actual war currently in the Naruto manga. (Sadly, I'm not joking). Maybe I wouldn't be so annoyed by this if it wasn't trying to imply Naruto would be lying if he said he preferred outspoken, confident girls. That's complete BS, everyone should know this. He found Hinata weird and hard to talk to in the beginning, Naruto never sees shy girls as a preference, Hell, he fell in love with a short-tempered, outspoken girl Sakura. So this is really OOC for Naruto. I also agree he would want to say "Both" at first but wouldn't say he prefers shy girls (which would be a lie) or outright say he likes outspoken girls (Simply because Hinata's right there and he wouldn't want to hurt her feelings).

I'm still going to buy this game and play it, but I know I'm choosing the "outspoken girl" option, just to see it what it says and the fact that I despise anything implying NaruHina. (Know it's a game, but my hatred for NH doesn't have to go away, y'know)

By half of me, my rational, more sympathetic side, feels like we should let it slide. We all know the real answer to that decision, so let NaruHina be happy for their fanservice. That's all there ever going to get in the actual anime/manga, so I guess let them appreciate it while it lasts. NaruSaku is the real canon pairing that isn't fanservice like NH, after all.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I saw the ending in order to believe that the ending is original. Turns out it is. While the timing is bad, cause you know, the war is still on, I do admit I like the scene. Not the "runaway" part, that's really out of place. I mean the part when Naruto woke up. Sakura was the first one to see Naruto after he's been away for a while, and she was really happy as Naruto did his usual smile in front of Sakura. Too bad, because everyone in the village now noticed and gathered around him. But Sakura got to talk to him and they have this Minato and Kushina watching Naruto. I thought it was nice. Still, should have wait until the arc ended. Now they really make it seem like:

1) Arc truly ends and hard to get back in.

2) Really making NaruSaku like an inevitable pairing (I'm not arguing but got to give others hopes, man!)

Hm, it would seem main story favors NS while side missions favor well, whatever you wanted to do with Naruto. How ironic. Find out what's ironic and you deserve a rep. Anyway, I still don't like what they did in terms of overall package, but I have to play to fully judge it.
