Just watched Episode 6. It was alright.

Alright^? I think it was one of the best, along with the premiere.

Agreed with sushi that it wasn't just 'alright'. It was pretty damn awesome and intense wow.png

Let me count the ways of all the moments I loved in it~

Pabu + Bolin will always equal utter love for me love.gif

Korra was totally kickass when she called Tenzin on his past relationship with Lin wink.gif

Tenzin is quickly becoming one of my fave charrys. He tries so hard to be 'stiff upper lip' yet he can't help himself when he breaks out of that mold, especially when he's reacting to something that involves Korra. Like when she was razzing him about his apparent love triangle of Lin +Tenzin + Pema, or when he was showing his 'pro bending knowledge' to Lin during the finals =p

Lin is awesomesauce~

I would *love* it if she and Korra really became friends, and this ep did a fantastic job of starting that. And Lin look sooo cool when she was metal-bending and launching Korra up into the air, and then diving down to save her~

And finally we got a glimpse of grown up Toph! And she looked amazing wow.png
Still not used to seeing grown up Aang with that scruffy-looking beard though lol. He just doesn't look like...well, Aang ^^;
Now all we need now are some flashbacks with the rest of the 'ol gang, because I'd love to see a younger-and-not-totally-old Katara, plus how Zuko and Sokka turned out all grown up happy.gif

So my prediction was somewhat true, with Hiroshi being an equalist and Asami not knowing about it, and by the way, finally, Asami got some real development. I suppose she just became an permanent crew member now? Mako was really harsh with Korra, but he apologized later, so I suppose it's fine. Why do I get the feeling that those mechas will be used for an Avatar game one day? On a last note, I had to laugh when I saw the statue at the cabbage corp entrance.

Looks like those who guessed that Asami's father was involved with Amon were right.

Korra calling out Tenzin seemed a bit too... overdone, to be honest. Tried too hard to be funny, along with another moment or two in the episode ("I am now wetting my pants". Funny? Sure. Out of place? Yes.)

Tenzin's been my favorite character since the start of the series, so I can't really add much to what you listed. But he was one of the reasons that the episode was good (not great).

Lin is cool. I'll give you that. I do like her.

The flashbacks were interesting, but not enough was shown in them to really contribute anything to the plot or advance it.

None of the ones we've seen make any sense to me.

The flashbacks should tie in sooner or later. I think right now we're all just getting some hints as to who Amon is or something along those lines, but very vague hints. I enjoyed this episode for the fact that YAY finally Asami gets some character development, and because Chief Beifong is just....<3. She's quickly becoming one of my favorite characters. Oh and Korra got her butt kicked so it was up to Bolin and Mako to save the day...pictureem0.gif Can't I just ship Bomakorra sad.gif

avatarchapters.tv, is like the best site to watch LoK. Anyways, Tenzin kicked some ass, damn he is powerful. But I feel like Lin could created much more major attacks with the earthground. If I compare this battle to the ones in Ba Sing Se, this is nothing.

Well, if you try to reason it out over a hundred years back when Aang and the original Avatar Team defeated the Fire Lord, the main enemies were the fire benders. They went from rulers and conquerors of the known world to just another group of benders, and many of them were actually probably sent to prison for the crimes and atrocities they committed. Fast forward a hundred years or so, the same trait/genes that caused those older fire benders to subjugate/abuse/try to rule over everyone else is still more than likely flowing strongly in the veins of this current generation of fire benders. And in fact many of them probably still have a lot of resentment that has been carried down the family line, for being essentially muscled out and beaten out of ruling the world.

As the saying goes, "you can't teach an old dog new tricks." And fire benders are a very old dog, coming from a very old linage, and they very likely hold very long grudges.

Feel sorry for Asami her daddy lied to her all this time about working with the equalist. I just noticed that Asami lost her home, racecar and moped. She might have to steal someones car if she wants to ride. sad.gif

were not gonna get an episode next week cause its memorial day from what i heard.

oh an interesting trivia not only is Hiroshi based on Henry ford. But Hiroshi supports equalist and Henry ford supports the nazis.

Dang, that's pretty wicked! My complements.

@rikakim Korrah was given a sweet ass car by Turloc or w/e his name is. Asami needs to teach her how to drive it!

@SakuraB I don't believe that just because of the 100 year war fire benders are now being born with an innate bully gene. They were good people before the war, and they are being raised during relatively peaceful times now, during Korrah's generation. They are, or will be, good people again. The trend now seems to be making a group of fire, earth, and water benders together, as we see from the gang in epi1 and the teams in pro-bending.. So, I have tried to reason it out looking at the last 100-112 years and it just doesn't add up. Something still seems suspicious to me.
Or maybe I'm just trying to cling to something exciting because so far LOK isn't even comparing to ATLA.

I will admit that LOK is a lot darker and a lot less light and funny than ATLA was. But it's still a pretty good show, and I'm trying to enjoy it without doing too much comparison with ATLA happy.gif

That is by no means what I meant through the comparison. As a whole, LOK isn't living up to ATLA as of right now. Being "darker" isn't my complaint here (although, I am curious as to how exactly it's "darker").

And I never said that that was what you meant by comparison. Do I really need to preface what I say with an 'IMO'? Okay, 'in my opinion' LOK just feels darker, less light-hearted, and more 'heavy' than ATLA. Aang was younger than Korra is now, and he was more than a bit of a goofball. Between him and Sokka the lightness and comedy were prevalent throughout many of the episodes. It only really started getting more 'serious and darker' with Season 3, when the Fire Lord and Team Avatar began drawing closer to their final big showdown.
