Looking over to Zerva, she saw him polishing a sword she hadn’t seen him with before.
“So you picked up something back there too, huh? That’s a nice looking sword,” she admired, her eyebrows rising.

Lifting the sword up higher he let her get a better look at it.
"Yeah, the funny thing is it was my sister's sword. Though the weird thing is I dont remember her ever going down there before." Zerva said giving her a small smile.
Zerva turned his eyes back to the sword, "I just wish I could have done something to save her life." He said sighing.

She sighed faintly. Those feelings were much too confusing to think about, even now. But it was the truth, and it felt better to admit.
“I’m sure your sister wouldn’t want you to blame yourself.”
Remembering something, she dug in her pocket and pulled out the 6 owl eye jewels she had taken, the only treasure she had from the catacombs. "It's not much but, we can still split it."

Looking at Twill's hand which held the jewels he looked them over.
"Twill up until now I haven't been the best bodyguard, you keep them. Besides you need them more than I do, right?" Zerva asked with his grey eyes staring into her.

She broke out into a yawn. “I need a nap,” she said wearily before moving along the deck towards the large cabin portion of the ship. Ascending some stairs, she took a walkway next to a large bank of windows. Climbing more stairs, she found herself towards the back of the ship. Up above she saw a balcony, and carefully she maneuvered herself to it and pulled herself over the bars. From this spot she could see a large expanse behind the Barracuda.
Plopping down, Noctua settled on the railing, scanning the horizon as she dug in her bag. Finding her water jug, she washed the grime and blood off of her face. Next, she took out a carefully wrapped jar. It was an herbal ointment her sister had sent with her. Dabbing some on her fingers, she felt for the cut on her forehead where the skeletons bullet had just grazed her. Immediately the area cooled as she used the ointment, rubbing it in until it was nothing but a dull ache. Setting her bow carefully within reach, she curled up, wadding up her cloak as a pillow and closed her eyes.
“Wake me if something comes up,” she mumbled faintly to Noctua before letting the steady humming of the ship lull her to sleep.

Zerva propped his bag against the side of the boat and laid down.
Pulling his weapons close to him just in case someone tried stealing them he fell asleep.
"When I wake up this thing better be moving." He said quietly.

"Enjoy your nap, old man?"

"Enjoy your nap, old man?"
"Oh, yes! Out of the catacombs, not fighting a veritable army of pissed off guards, out in the open sky and not in a claustrophobic, dank tunnel where some zombie can appear out of nowhere to swipe at you. This is actually pretty brilliant." He sat down and tried to ignore about how Skadi's butt was facing his face. Hey, it's been awhile, okay?
"We better get this heap of junk moving soon." He lied down again, looking at the open sky in thought. "The authorities will send their best at us within a few weeks, if not within days. We made quite a noise back there." He exhaled. "So, where are we heading?" He asked the tired girl.

"To the city in the sky that the military tries to pretend doesn't exist." She had no clue what they'd find up there, but it was bound to be interesting.
The thief offers a tired half-smile. "At the very least, we'll be able to fix this thing properly when we get there."

"Sky City." He nodded, then got up to a sitting post, "Sky City?!" He looked up in the sky, smirking, "Well....this just got interesting." He turned back to Skadi, "Have I ever told you of the lost temple of the Dragon Priests Sect?"

Her shoulder ached, but seemed to be getting better. Too bad there was no booze, it always made story-time more interesting.

Looking away from the sky, Désir's gaze snapped over his shoulder at Balian and Skadi, big blue eyes shining with interest. Through the juddering and jerking and spluttering of the ship, he'd almost lost hope it would fly, but, there it was; floating along, no doubt on it's way to..
"Sky City…" he murmured to himself, gloved hand slowly trailing to and fro along the rail of the ship beside him absentmindedly, making a low grating sound.
As he stared at the two, little drops of red melted into his vision. Little drops of red coming out of Skadi's eyes, out of Balian's ears, oozing from under their clothes, streaming out of their mouths in frothing torrents. And with a blink, everything was back to normal again.
Désir smiled sweetly to himself. No use daydreaming now.
No doubt they'd die later.

"Hehehehe." Balian chuckled before somehow producing a toothpick out of nowhere and putting it in his mouth. "Well, the Dragoons were once the guardians to the Dragon Priests. A group of nine, powerful Magi. They lived on one of these...sky cities. Of course, during one of the great ancient Elvaan-Hume war, they sided with us Hume. However, the Elvaan were smart. They knew the power of the Dragon Priests can change the course of war. They were also servants of the great Dov. That's Dragonkind in English, by the way. With their power, they could summon powerful Dragons to their aid. The Dragoon now pales in comparison to the great Dragoons of antiquity. They were a force to be reckoned with.
And so, the Elvaan destroyed the Dragon Priests' temple, sending it to the ground. While the main force were destroyed, the Elvaan underestimated the remnants. One of the Dragon Priests survived, his name was Konahrik, The Warlord. He used the last of his great power to repair and hide their Sky Temple from everyone. They hid, bid their time until they could once again reclaim their lost temple. Eventually, Konahrik perished, leaving behind his sacred mask to the care of the Dragoons.
They intermingled with the Gol Muz, the Earth-Walkers, and established the Dragoons we know now. Every Dragoon since then, learned this secret history. We became the Lok ZeyMah, Sky Brothers, pledged to return Konahrik's mask to its final resting place. My unit was the last to carry the mask. However, this ruthless Elf commander slaughtered my unit during the last war and disappeared with the mask. I have hunted for this Elf all my life but I never found him.
However, this sky city may contain clues to how to actually reach the Dragon Priests' Sky Haven Temple. At least half of my sacred mission will be the done." he chuckled a bit before feeling that shiver he's come to associate with Desir. He looked behind him and saw the creepy elf. "Freaks me the f_ out," He mutterd.

It was almost a pity.
With that thought in mind, she hops off the railing and approaches the elf, the most sincere smile on her face that she can manage without being sincere at all. "Hey, Desir, was it?" Skadi stops a few feet in front of him, hands at her sides, posture relaxed, and smile still on her face.
"Got any extra potions on you?"

Extending his arm to Skadi, Désir grasped the vial between his index and middle finger and held it out to her. His big blue eyes stared at her with a warm, gentle gaze as he saw her organs fall from beneath her tunic to splatter on the ground at her feet. It was all in his head, but it was still fun to watch.
"I'm here to help," he smiled, eyes floating back up to her face as his innocent smile widened.

"Perhaps you misheard me," She murmurs, tossing the bottle from one hand to the other. "Liar." It was almost like a dangerous game, Skadi thinks as she grabs his hand with a gentle touch that does nothing to betray possible intent. She places the potion bottle into his palm, closing his fingers over the smooth glass surface.
"I said potion, Desir." Her touch lingers for just a moment, before she lets go. "Not poison." She smiles at him still. "Though, that is a particularly deadly venom base you have there, if smell is anything to go by."

"Thank you," he murmured, his voice a low rumble as he palmed the vial lazily, blue eyes staring piercingly into her green-gold ones. "I'm sure it would've tasted delicious had you tried it…" His hand reached toward her bloodied face, vial tucked underneath his thumb before his fingers paused, mere inches from her untouched skin.
Slowly, his hand retreated, his bracelet continuing to tinkle faintly. "If that isn't to your taste," he sighed quietly, eyes soft again and looking down at his wrist as he unhooked one of the shards of gem from his bracelet. The shard was a small fang-shaped blue one, glinting gleefully between his fingers as he rose it to her lips.
"Enchanted," he whispered softly, nodding at the shard and touching it to Skadi's bottom lip. "It'll heal you and leave your breath smelling like peppermint." He smiled delightedly. "A win-win for you."

She rolls back her shoulder, poking it experimentally with bare fingers. No pain. Looking back to Desir, she gives him a smile with just the slightest baring of teeth. It was a mostly friendly smile.
"Thank you! I feel much better." For emphasis, she stretches, arms reaching above her head for a moment, though she was nowhere near as tired. She lets her arms fall to her sides. "Try not to betray us too quickly, Liar. Those things are useful!" With that, she heads past him, shoulder barely brushing his.
Walking towards the cabins she figures she should at least get some sleep...
