What active role in part1? POAL? Don't make me laugh. POAL was one of the things that secretely screwed NS. Sai said it all. It has always been a curse not only for Naruto but for Sakura as well. 
For a pairing to work convincingly both parties have to be active. I want to see Naruto act without pushing Sakura towards Sasuke because it's what he got used to.

Yes, poal is the highest point of naruto, and I don't think its a curse.

Hmm ... I see what you mean. Naruto easily has the power to restore Sakura's confidence if he praised her a lot or said exactly what he thought about her. We've seen the affect of inspiration he has on her. But Naruto is not very open with his feelings and never really knew how badly Sakura's self-esteem was until 693 so never knew she needed it. Maybe Naruto will try more to help with that. The problem is I don't think he's aware how much he affects Sakura either.

IMO, I think Sakura would appreciate it for a while but it if happened too much she would start to feel bad because it's always him and she hates feeling useless. So it's kind of like if it's too much of one thing, positive or negative, either way Sakura will eventually feel bad about herself. There needs to be a balance.

 

Sasuke has always been abusive to Sakura, but Naruto defended her more against Sasuke in Part 1. The only time this has been starting to decease significantly was after  the "Sasuke is a victim of the system" excuse he got around the Kage Summit Arc and then the "cycle of hate" in the Pain arc. Sasuke never seriously belittled Sakura in front of him until after Naruto went through those character arcs.

 

But yeah, Naruto does excuse Sasuke more than the other villains because of their history together. There's no denying that. I just don't think the reason's limited to their bromance.  
 

Good point. Sakura would eventually start to feel bad if it happened too much just like how she felt bad when Naruto took on all the burden. This issue that Sakura has needs to be resolved soon.

 

Sure Naruto has defended her, but sometimes those little instances get overshadowed by the Sasuke apologist in Naruto. Just look at what happened when Kabuto talked about Sasuke. That was enough to make Naruto so angry that it brought out the Kyuubi's chakra. All it took was a few words. The way Naruto goes out of his way for Sasuke makes it seem like that's his soul mate and that he can't live without him.

Kishimoto just tried too hard to emphasize the importance of those early bonds Naruto formed because he was an unwanted orphan. I get where he was coming from but he just took it way too far.

Sasuke was not in a dangerous situation during the heaven & earth bridge. He got angry simply because of words relating to Sasuke.

Why is everyone ignoring Sakura's first angry face to Sasuke in 600+ chapters?Things may very well change after she wakes up
For example at the end of the fight both Naruto and Sasuke are down and she goes to Naruto first because he makes her happy

Besides Naruto already knew for a LONG time that she loved Sasuke.This confession was nothing new to him

Besides just think,supposing Sasuke is redeemed,what do you expect Sakura to say to Naruto "Thanks Naruto.I am going on a date with Sasuke noe.Bye". Nope

This is just a way for Sakura to come to terms with this Sasuke issue so that when NS happens there is no doubt

Yeah, we saw what happened when Orochimaru tried to take over Sasuke. Orochimaru played on the feelings of betrayal that Naruto had.

In part 1, naruto take active role in NS dynamic, until the end of part 1.
In part 2, sakura take the active role in NS dynamic, until LoI arc, without making sakura love naruto. Sakura feeling to naruto is a mystery(?)

And in war arc, no NS interaction until 631.
Ss already touch in this chapter, next is NS.
Just like in retrieve sasuke arc.

ns moment yes , but if the manga end with open ending?

example: sakura move on from sasuke but no falling in love again( naruto)

 

the last movie seems to indicate that, maybe ns will be canon in the next movie but no in the manga

I read something interesting about how Kishimoto is trying to resolve SS first before he makes NS canon, so the haters wouldn't complain at any unresolved and doubtful feelings, he's trying to blow up SS before NS gets some sunshine. We already got Sasuke's rejection, we just need Sakura moving on Sasuke and realizing her feelings for Naruto now (genjutsu is an awesome opportunity btw). After that, he will still have to worry about NaruHina fans, he will have to show how Naruto hasn't moved on Sakura and yay, both NH/SS will be debunked, finished. With that done, we won't (we're not supposed to) have NH/SS fans complaining about how NS  is awful since their ships would just lose ground. 

 

I like how positive this person was, he wasn't blaming Kishi like we're doing here, including myself.

Naruto and Sasuke already died once what makes you think that they will die again?

In meant both of them will hit the ground as its a even fight

Sakura is in genjutsu and its Stoll not clear of its they type Sasuke controls where he basically kills her over and over and mentally tortures her OR the one which plays with her mind in which case she will have plenty of time to think things over and come to a realization

Besides Kakashi is all alone.I doubt he will just sit there.He will try to help Sakura out and they will head to the valley where the battle is there

On a side note I find it interesting that both Sakura and Hinata are in genjutsu.Kishi is definitely doing something here

I wanted to put my opinion of all this and latest chapter but I had to digest everything and wait for the fandom to calm down a bit, the forum is greatly contaminated by negativity and depression and in Chinese philosophy says you can not see clearly or think objectively when the water is so hectic, only calm makes water clear and you can see things clearly.
I'll put what I think is more or less what I shared with my friend Liu Bie:

 

I reread the chapter on mangastream and really did not seem as tragic as many do see here in the first Sakura while acknowledging her feelings for Sasuke her attitude and intention is very different, their words are not intended a romantic confession are that of a woman that knows she never cared to Sasuke so she says "if there is little appreciation for me" also the last line is "if you come back we can be all together like before" clearly refers to team 7, her love for Sasuke no longer directed to a chance at a relationship is a desperate method to stop him from killing Naruto and everyone else, this love is something else, it's intense for her desperation to save him but her intentions are not romantic can you tell the difference between her words in this chapter and the 181, the 181 Sakura wants to return for be with him and not feel alone, this chapter wants to be back together as team 7.

 

I think people forget that Kakashi said "even she still loves Sasuke their feelings for him are completely different" and that's checking Sakura here, her eyes full of anger and full of tears is vital, it is not a woman in love is the an extremely outraged by the actions of sasuke, angry and frustrated with herself and so she says "I'm pathetic" on mangastream, Sakura is aware of everything, has clearly changed, but people are very hectic right now for testing.

 

Naruto What about him? ... He knows Sakura so well this is why is not surprised on hearing all this, but I do not know is if he's paying attention to "I want all to be together at the end," that naruto does not know that this love for Sasuke is a different feeling, but that is beautiful in him he said "I am going to bring Sasuke as I promised Sakura" which as I this is often the most selfless love shows I've seen in a long time, he was always firm on this.

 

I am one of those who follow the ideology of Naruto "never give up"  is a precious life philosophy, I had during the 615 still somewhat depressed also dealing with depression from everyone else, I stand firm on this, the POAL for me is the most beautiful thing I've seen and that pure and disinterested love for Sakura is so worth defending the NS that is the nicest thing that Kishi has written in the manga and again also restate in this chapter.

 

Keep Calm! really this necessary issue had to be tackled and face sooner or later .

Even if Kakashi dispels the Genjutsu I bet she will keep crying to Kakashi and he will help her come to a realization regarding her true love

 

The fact that Kakashi and Sakura as of now are alone makes me seem as if Kakashi is going to counsel Sakura or something 

 

Its also possible the genjustu is so strong it cant be dispelled with chakra transfer since its been done with the Rinnegan

The focus of Naruto is bromance. Whether we like it or not, it's only natural any romantic feelings Naruto has for anyone will be put on the backburner. I know it doesn't always seem that way, but I don't think Kishimoto ever intended for people to believe Naruto loves Sasuke more than Sakura. It's just one of his many errors in writing.

 

Naruto obviously does love Sakura, but the overwhelming focus on SasuNaru makes it less than satisfactory. It's not that he doesn't love her. It just could've been portrayed better by putting her and Sasuke on equal standing via emphasis. Kishimoto is just not that great in writing love.
