If you don't care for Sakura as a character when she is the heroine, you don't care for everyone else's characters. Without all of them, there is not story. You don't care about the story.

Why Sakura look surprised when Sai told her that Naruto loves her? Naruto was good and caring with her, but he didn't assure in front of her that he still has feelings for Sakura until the war, with the "girlfriend comment". And just that!

It's clear that you have different opinions but you are not building any argument to defend yours, you're just saying the same bs, putting the others' opinions down. When you have a reasonable conversation, bring it here and I'm sure those two won't mind debating with you, now, you're just being annoying to them.

I understand you. You rooting for the main character is all fine and dandy, but since this IS the debate thread I will point out whenever you're using double standards. Especially, when you are justifying Naruto's actions while harshly criticizing Sakura's character for doing the same thing. If you cannot logically back your arguments and the only thing you can do is bash, then this is not the place for you. NF will be better fitted. Although, in that site there will be a lot of Naruto hate as well.

Sai's observation of Naruto's feelings towards Sakura is NOT the same as Naruto confessing to Sakura. It doesn't move the pairing forward or backward.

P.S. Honestly, if you can only judge a character with who they love, I sincerely think that reading a shoujo would be more fitting for you. In that genre, the female characters have no life outside of loving the main make lead.

Another sad part of Naruto's character, he was too insecure and dense to believe Sakura was interested in him since he came back. Even Jiraiya pointed this out.

I don't see how Sakura's confession, even in present tense, would change anything for SS. She had the most brutal rejection just now. And even if she hadn't, we have all the forshadowing in the world that she will choose Naruto in the end (movie or manga). I see more complications to NS in this chapter (in terms of how believable NS-canon would be) than ambiguity in whether SS is alive or dead. It is dead.

Bc we don't know for sure yet whether she has given up on Sasuke yet. Even in this past chapter, if mangastream is to be believed (which I highly doubt,) She still believes that she and Sasuke could be together. Sure Sas-gay flat out rejected her, but he flip flops all the time. Itachi said it best, "Sasuke is a blank slate." He has no allegiance to anyone but himself. As long as Sakura still has (Bulls#$@$) 12 year old feelings for this prick, then SS is not dead.

I find the back and forth rather interesting considering that what we know from the manga is that Sakura has been made aware of Naruto's feelings for her but all Naruto really knows is what he has seen with his own eyes when it comes to Sakura's feelings for Sasuke. This is probably a big reason why Naruto refrains from interjecting himself into their business. Also I find it funny how a lot of people want Sakura to stand tall on her own but are quickly jumping all over Naruto for not defending her against Sasuke when she's yet to really defend herself against him. One other thing, I do understand where everybody is tired of Naruto prioritizing Sasuke at times above everything else, but I also understand that Sasuke (as it's written) is the one character that is a constant threat to himself and others. So of course that would force Naruto to make him a consistent priority. Whether we like it or not Sasuke did acknowledge Naruto as his best friend and that's not something an emotionally damaged character like Naruto is soon to forget.

You're almost right. Naruto and Sakura are not in the romantic relationship for him to stand up for her. But sometimes I think that he'll never get anywhere with the girl of his dreams if he remains passive as he is. Sakura is a type of heroine who draws inspiration from other people (Naruto being  one of the most important sources), so she usually needs a push to pluck up her spirit. Sakura mostly relies on opinions of those who surround her. That is her basic trait (a mix of extraversion and inadequate self-evaluation) whether we like it or not. So Naruto could actually have a positive influence on how she perceives Sasuke... but no such luck. Sakura is on her own here with all those "random" people (Kakashi, Sai, Yamato...) occasionally commenting in regard to the matter. But not Naruto... it's absurd! That is why there are still those who doubt Naruto's love for Sakura. His failure to act is a big problem here. Instead of being the voice of reason (he's her friend, for god's sake) he has always pushed Sakura towards Sasuke (semi-consciously) probably knowing that it will make her suffer and... suffer again.

What active role in part1? POAL? Don't make me laugh. POAL was one of the things that secretely screwed NS. Sai said it all. It has always been a curse not only for Naruto but for Sakura as well. 

For a pairing to work convincingly both parties have to be active. I want to see Naruto act without pushing Sakura towards Sasuke because it's what he got used to.

Naruto knows Sasuke causes Sakura a lot of pain and he hates it, but he responds differently than most of us do who hate SS for that reason. He knows she loves Sasuke and if Sakura thinks that she can find happiness with Sasuke, Naruto's not going to argue about it. That doesn't mean he doesn't love her, it's just a different approach.

Yep, a good love it is watching from sidelines how Sasuke shatters Sakura's heart. He can carry on then if he's so ready to pick up the remaining pieces in the end.

Is that approach suppose to be admirable? If I see the person that I'm in love with being abused I will set aside my code of honor and beat the kitten out of the abuser.
