He was lying when he said that he was misseading us. He was just discouraging the Japanese NS fans from watching the movie and two days later, he said he considered NS but he pity Hinata. And now the popularity. So yeah, misleading is just a joke to pissed of NS fans.

Kishi went full throttle with NS much as possible up to the end, knowing that it will be destroy by retcons. Because he loves NS just as much as us. No he's force to pair up his favorite female character that is mirrored off his wife with another character that is mirriored off his brother. Kishi had artistic license over his story. No matter how much influence Pierrot may have, they would surely allow Kishi to complete the story in the manner which he envisioned it, yes? The financial incentive behind pairing up the Hyuga girl with Naruto might be succeeding but with their credibility with the fans and its reception it's blowing up in their faces.
It's difficult to filter out the truths from the ploys and deceptions. Is this what he actually intended to do? Who can say until he outright admits the reasoning for this decision.
