In my point of view I think she loves both like Wako did in Star Driver. The difference is that Sakura loves one more than anohter, I think she has some special feelings for Naruto.
Sasuke was her first love, she admired him like the Databook said, she loved him because of his talent, he was strong, cool and sexy. But that's not real love, this isn't mature at all.
That's why I think that her feelings for Naruto are different, she knows that he is clumsy, that he hasn't talent at all, that he isn't smart, etc...but he give her strenght, hope and she's feeling good when she is with him, she seemed more happy to me with Naruto than with Sasuke. She's more herself than when she's with the Uchiha.

What she said in her confession is true, the part when she says that Naruto gives her hope, etc...but the part where she says "I love you and I don't care about Sasuke" is false. And that's when she said that that Naruto didn't believe in her confession anymore. He seemed so happy in the beginning, but it's when she said that she didn't car efor Sasuke that he suspected her.

Sakura can't tell her feelings for Naruto because:

-She's in love with Sasuke
-She can't realise her feelings for Naruto, she doesn't know what he means to her

I will repeated again, but I think that Sai will have a big part in this, he's the only one that is really interested in Sakura's and Naruto's feeling.

i agree Sakura is completely selfless around Naruto, herself and just her spirit is always up when shes with him. he is HER TRUE LOVE she will know soon.
so i know we know she loves sasuke but she does have romantic feelings for Naruto she is falling hard for him. shes just confused imo. she needs to realise.

even if sasusaku did happen Naruto and Saura will always have this romantic tension and weirdness around them.

Agree. Saying that Sakura can't deserve heaven and wants to be in Hell with Sasuke and claiming he/she is a Sakura fan... not a "true" fan of her at all. And on top of that, if you're a fan, why bash her? Sometimes, people say the silliest (other words, the stupidest) things.

I think you missed my point.

I don't know whether the source of quote is fan or not and its of no consequence to me if they are. What I was complaining about is fans dictating to other people whether they are qualified "true" fans or not, especially when its rooted in a particular interpretation of the character.

I didn't interpret the quote as bashing. I don't think the believe she doesn't deserve Heaven, only that she loves Sasuke so much she'd doesn't care if she goes down in flames (figuratively speaking) with him. I think that's wrong, but not bashing.

I read chapter 540 a few minutes ago. I'm not gonna spoil but that particular scene is EXTREMELY ambiguous or even the hardest moment for SasuSaku fans EVER.
Definitely not for NaruHina fans, but they should watch out, too.

After reading chapter 540 nobody can tell how it's gonna turn out in the end.
It's basically impossible from this moment on.
That's my opinion, but enhancing the already fully developed dilemma could also be a definite proof that NaruSaku is gonna happen.

Quick question what episode does Sakura say that she is not crying for Gaara, but in fact she is worried about Naruto.

Gosh I kind of wish after Yamato told Naruto that the 4tails gave Sakura her wound, that Naruto ran after Sakura to check on her. *sigh

Not impossible at all. A lot fo development still has to occur. Naruto has to stop lieing to himself about Sakura and Sasukes relationship. He has to confront the bench scene and let Sakura know clearly how he feels about her.

Sakura also has to confront the bench scene and the root of ehr feelings for Sasuke she need to understand the contrats between the ""warm sasuke"" who complimented her forehead and the cold psycho who tried to kill her on multiple occasions.

these two together must also overcome the wall between them and must confront each other directly without a third part intervening. So far Sai and Yamato have intervened and explained feelings to the respective parties.

Now Sakura and Naruto must confront each other directly. without anyone motivating them to do so.

It doesnt undo any of her development at all.

Its at worst a minor speed bump. Narutos rejection fo her confession and the twin declarations of intended death may have thrown her own feelings into the blender so to speak.

Its just these SS or NH moments really unnerve me and always gives me head and heartaches which is why I want this to resolve soon its not that I don't have Faith in NS its just that it means so much to me that I overreact to anything that hints other wise (also I apologize for double posting Kages I was just a little distressed )

I do believe Catsi has a point in his post, we shouldn't let this shake up what we know about NaruSaku, it's just something minor and part of me thinks that the reason we got that panel was the fact that Sakura is still feeling guilty of where her love use to be and how it was nothing more than a crush, she has realized her feelings for Naruto, but at the same time she's got a lot of built up guilt too over how she use to treat Naruto and his rejection in 470 probably pushed even more guilt on her. I think for now we just need to see it as more character growth for Sakura and her getting over Sasuke that much more.

honestly, I was quite nervous and my narusaku self esteem fell about 10x. But after reading Tricksie and Catsi's posts and rereading the chapter I realized key points of all this. I mean seriously, if Kishimoto really had posted Naruto's face right after Sakura's "love confession", the pairing wars would more than definitely be over and fandoms would go wild. Kishimoto is not going to resolve fandoms from a conversation between Sakura and some random character. And then there was Tricksie's excellent analysis. My newer interpretation is that after the ninja said "Hope it works out for you"....Sakura is clearly no longer thinking about who she loves but whether or not it'll work out. And from the look on her face we can conclude that she is not optimistic. Clearly she's not thinking about who she loves based on her facial expressions but instead about it "working out". She's most probably thinking about her trying to kill Sasuke and how Naruto may be feeling about all that. The picture of Sasuke is an evil, cynical drawing of him, not one of love. I know that I am biased, but no character in any manga and no one in real life would ever think about the one they love with an image as malevolent as Sakura's. That's why I feel quite confident in my saying that Sakura did indeed mean that she is in love with Naruto when she spoke.

Here's what I posted in the mangafox forum, hope someone agrees, or gets some relief. As for me, I'm pretty calm by now since I suppose her feelings were pushed a LOT in the right direction by that guy in 539/540

To your rhetorical question (I take it): 'how come she knows about Naruto's feelings and still loves Sasuke' there's only one answer.
Where's the proof? As I already mentioned, in 539 she says that she already likes someone. Some people (including me) were sure about it being Naruto. That was WRONG. But, she is NOT sad or depressed in 539 and she also answers that stranger WITHOUT HESITATION. Only in 540 she STARTS thinking of Sasuke, AT ALL. The proof is the fact that her state of mind CHANGES INSTANTLY AFTER THAT STRANGER SAYS THOSE PAINFUL THINGS and she has a horrible picture of Sasuke in mind.
In short: 539 > main goal shaking the stranger off (she's surprised and doesn't give Sasuke OR Naruto any thought). 540 > She immediately SUFFERS from what she and that stranger (referring to Sasuke with 'Great Guy') BLURTED OUT.
Her expression conveys the feeling as if she were shackled by a thousand chains at once, not being able to move.
That stranger is NEUTRAL, he's not Naruto (confession, promise blablabla) BUT he reminds Sakura how painful it is to get rejected, knowing there's someone else your dear person likes, this only enhances Sakura's guilty conscience since Naruto's been in this situation for a long time.
MAIN PROOF: look at the panel where Sakura says: Thank you..but there's someone else I....(chapter 539 page 17)
She's smiling there. So that stranger KEEPS TALKING right after chapter 539 and leaves shortly after poking around in her already painful memories, FORCING her to associate Sasuke with a flame in the background.
That's definitely not the flame of LOVE lol
Last argument: Why should Naruto cross her mind if Sasuke (even if she doesn't love him anymore) is actually the one in DANGER. Naruto has a whole Nation supporting him, that tries to keep him OUT OF BATTLES. Sasuke on the other hand is EAGER to show his strength and eradicate everyone.
Maybe she only thinks of him as a past love in 540.

I agree with what you said. I too believe that she feels guilty about having a crush on Sasuke back in the day and how she treated Naruto during that time.
