So I picked up XCOM: Enemy Unknown for the PS3 (360/PC also available) this weekend. Basically played it all day Saturday. A month and change of game time later, half of my roster is too injured to mount a Base Assault or respond to alien abductions, almost a full two continents are ready to pull their support due to rising panic levels, and I don't have enough money to keep my Interceptors ready for the larger UFOs. After looking at my resources and options, I come to a hard decision.
I have to start my game over and pull the plug on all the work I've put in. Holy crap what a hard game, there are so many things to balance. And this is on normal difficulty. I couldn't even imagine playing on Ironman mode, where the game doesn't allow manual saves and it auto-saves after every turn so you have to live with every choice and mistake you make permanently.
And it has that infamous Civilization "just one more turn" thing going for it. Started playing around noon-ish, and suddenly it's 1 AM? WTF?

(For the younger readers, "HMV" and "Sam The Record Man" were record stores.)
(For the younger readers, a "record store" was a building that you had to go to when you wanted to buy music.)
(For the younger readers, "buying music" was the way we acquired it, since we couldn't just… you know what, let's just get back to the Bowen song. Stupid kids, you ruin everything.)

Be the Ultimate Ninja! Or Reaper! Or Zombie Killer... or something. Play Billy Vs. SNAKEMAN!
