Yeah, and because people hold such strong emotions to her, HER redemption (instead of Sasuke's) would have been just that more epic.

 

Instead of finishing her story and writing an ending for her that reflected her evolution to maturity and compassion that the entire Naruto-verse recognized, adored by Naruto and acknowledged by Sasuke, Kishimoto left her undeveloped. He just dropped her. 

 

Instead of showing up the readers and proving that he was the writer and he had control of the direction of the story, from the start, he let the whole thing go. He justified the readers' hatred by giving them exactly what they wanted in Sakura: a scapegoat. A character they could hate, and feel ok about hating. 

 

Kishimoto missed his opportunity for redemption. He gives it to Sasuke, writing his character as one that does all this crap in the story, yet at the end everyone is expected to forgive him completely. But though Sakura has done nothing but support Naruto (and Sasuke, and everyone else), Kishimoto never writes her as worthy or deserving of any kind of recognition at all. 

 

As much as fans hate Sakura, thus her "redemption" would have been epic. Instead the manga was repurposed to give Hinata a happy ending — a character who literally did nothing in the manga for anyone other than herself and Naruto.

 

But Sakura will get her "redemption." Her redemption will come through some convoluted happy ending to the baby mama drama that Kishi kicked off with 700+1. Through some farcical means, the Uchiha family will end the mini-series happy and whole. That will be seen as redemption.

The problem with that is twofold. First, as you so brilliantly pointed out, regardless of who Salad's mother actually is, Sakura (and Karin) are both being put through emotional stress and mockery at the hands of Kishi just for the sake of drama and tension. Even if Sakura is the mother (and we all know she is), Kishi is making her look dumb and foolish and weak for the sake of a contrived plot.

The second problem is that her redemption will be one in which she has very little actual agency. Part of the appeal of NS was that Sakura was very much independent. Yes, she relied on Naruto and my headcanon is one where they are very much mutually supportive, but she had agency and grew on her own. But when she is around Sasuke that agency disappears and she becomes meek and submissive. Any family redemption will once again link Sakura to Sasuke and focus solely on an emotional note, because that seems to be the only thing Kishi can talk about when it comes to her.

I for one hope that Karin is Sarada's mother but i keep hearing that the VAs confirmed that sarada is Sakura's daughter.

The VA's also confirmed that SS is a loving relationship, yet Sasuke doesn't ever go near Sakura and Sakura herself questions whether their relationship has love:

Just out of curiosity I checked a forum in my country that is dedicated to manga's and anime's (it doesn't have a lot of members because manga's are not popular here at all), and I checked what people have to say about the new chapter. And one of them said that the reason why Salad looks and acts like Karin is because Sasuke sucked her chakra all those times. However the general consensus is that the kid belongs to Karin, and Sakura is the babysitter. Most of them say that the story turned into a soap opera and the only reason they're following it now is because of the lolz. And a couple of people theorize that Naruto's kid aka burrito is actually Sakura's. And one of the members said the reason Sakura fainted was because she's pregnant with Naruto's kid.

 

Overall they don't like it or hate it, they just don't care anymore since it's clear that Kishi doesn't care anymore either.
