If I'm not mistaken in manga / anime the heroine is more like hero's love interest. And apparently nardo never liked sakura so she never was a heroine.

Someone here already referenced Kishi's old quote about not needing to read the manga to understand the movie. That's very telling, isn't it? Could it be that Kishi was aware of the film's lack of coherence and faith to the source material all this time?

Kusomoto forgot that he was writing a manga.

If I'm not mistaken in manga / anime the heroine is more like hero's love interest. And apparently nardo never liked sakura so she never was a heroine.

Naruto likes Sakura. Nardo-kun likes Hinata-hime. Story wise, Sakura is more heroine like than that of Hinata. Hinata is a pairing fodder afterall but is being treated as goddess by SP and Kusomoto.
