Even if Sakura still loves Sasuke, Kakashi has suggested a few chapters ago that the nature of that love has changed from what it was when she was a pre-teen. I don't think Kishi would have thrown that bit of observational internal monologue in there for no reason. So yeah, I'm believing in my ship until everything is unambiguously set on the table. If by the end of the manga, it turns out that all of those hints he's been teasing us with and all of the build-up for NaruSaku was a cruel farce, I will accept that he is a hack at romance, walk away and not look back. If this is just the final and most arduous stretch towards our coveted NS ending, I will endure. Either way, I'm going to see this manga through to its conclusion before making any premature judgments about it.

Light and Shadow are the only static creations of this universe.

Yes, it's a confession. What is telling someone that you love him then??

@phenix
I don't think that is a confession.
And sakura love sasuke is a fact until said otherwise.
You mean like 675 and LOI?
loving Sasuke is just a part of Sakura's character now that's who her identity is at this point we could have had a decent charcter sure but this is Kishi writing not Seishi. God forbid a character actually progresses in this story.

I just tell myself It could be worse. We could be NH or SS. I mean, hinata is living with naruto as a couple in her world, so maybe that's enough for her. And naruto did always know that sakura loved sasuke, so it's not exactly a shock to him, so I hope whatever sakura goes through next, she sorts out her feelings. Maybe this genjutsu sasuke cast will be a blessing in disguise
Someone on tumblr pointed out that a databook from way back listed Sakura's genjutsu score as 3.5. They suggested perhaps this will come up again. Sakura knows how to break a genjutsu after all.
They may or may not have something, but it's an interesting theory.

I said this before and I will say this again I don't know about yall but I am not trying to let today's chapter ruin the rest of my week yeah I know we were all upset about today's chapter but we all have to remember we're a NS family here and its Kishi's story meaning not everything is going to the way we want it to go but we have to keep ours heads up and have faith of the conclusion.

Yeah, I imagine this fandom must have felt depressed around Hinata's "confession" and 615. We've had low points before.

I didn't know about that chapter until after having heard about it here (wasn't keeping up with the manga until more recently), so I don't know what I would have thought of it. I do know that when I finally read it, I thought it was a good chapter.

This is way worse than 615 or whatever that chapter was where Sasuke caught Sakura.
This was just a giant leap backward for her character. And we're not going to get resolution for this little step back until 5-10 weeks from now when this gay battle is finally over.

Could the sakura of part 1 have put so much effort into trying to save naruto from death? Could she have acknowledged sasukes faults? Could she have cried for naruto like she has so many times in part 2? Sakura may not have changed her feelings for sasuke, but there is no way we as a pairing community could ever say she doesn't care about naruto. I'd dare say outside of sasuke, naruto is the most important person in her world.
And again, naruto KNOWS she loves sasuke, he called her out on this is 469. So this action shouldn't really phase him. It only fuels what his love has been about, self sacrifice. It's not what you do for those you love, it's what you take for them. And in case we forget, she was willing to forgo seeing sasuke ever again for naruto 3 times, so it's not like she's not willing to sacrifice either.
This chapter narusaku may have lost the battle, but sasusaku lost the war. If attempted murder didn't get through her head, than her pouring her feelings out again and seeing herself getting killing might, might, DESTROY sasusaku, on both sides.

I wish I can like this.Truth be told, we've been here before as a pairing, in chapter 484, 469, 540, and this is how it all began. Sakura loving sasuke, naruto loving sakura, and sasuke loving himself. It may seem like we've a big leap back, but things have gotten better. Our development may no longer be romantic, but it is still genuine development, which is more than can be said for the others.

You mean NaruSaku lost the round this time and SasuSaku has lost the war but as for NaruHina their on standby.

As far as hinatas concerned, she's won. So we aren't including her, for now
She won for now but remember everyone is still on the IT

It still just feels that Kishi used this as a big swerve. Another obstacle and another hard left turn before he jumps back on the path he's always had in mind. This chapter did exactly what it was supposed to do, illicit a huge reaction from the reader.
