I agree with KnS.

It doesn't look 100% canon.But it's connected to the manga.

Hi, i've been lurker for a while :o and decided to make an account just to point out about the Scarves that i've noticed and no one has seem to mention yet (or if they have, i apologize for repeating facts @_@)

in the trailer The Red Scarf that hinata wanted to give to Naruto is supposedly ripped apart. Looks like a foreshadowing of Hinatas feelings to Naruto, since the Red Scarf is suppose to be the symbolism for the Red Thread.

Huh. You know. After watching that trailer, I don't feel any rage. It looks like Naruto was raging at Hinata when they were kids. Unless the trailer is very misleading, he says to Hinata, "Remember what I said back then? I have something to tell you. Wait for me."
 
Hinata waits.
Naruto comes back and says, "Okay I'm ready to tell you."
Hinata goes, "N-Naruto-kwen ugu"
Naruto; "I'm sorry for being a jerk. Later!"

Yes, it is. I took Cal 3 in college as an elective for fun. One of my favorite classes for undergrad. I don't know what I was thinking when I went to law school.

So no, he didn't say "closely connected."  He just supposedly said "connected."  And as I have mentioned several times now, connected is not the same thing as 100% canon.  It means the events in the movie are based on or tied to certain events in the manga. 

 

But you'll notice that the article says that even if someone hasn't read all the manga it doesn't really matter.  So just how connected is it, and how much does the movie content really matter to the manga?

 

Sigh.  There is so much misinformation and misquoting and sheer speculation being repeated as fact that it's ridiculous.

I'm just trying not to get caught up in the "oh, it's filler" thing unless it's confirmed. So far as I'm aware, that's the only official quote, aside from the movie being the start of the "new era" project, that may us whether or not this movie will be canon or not.

 

I guess I just don't want to be accused of saying the movie's filler just because I'm being a biased NS fan. I'm not in any arguments or anything, just want to avoid that stereotype if possible.

Everyone freaking about NaruHina when they should all be worried about NaruGaa cause Gaara yelled out Naruto's name as well!

what if NS is actually canon in the epilogue and this movie is about Hinata's resolution to her feelings for him? that actually just hit me xD because Sasuke does not have feelings for Sakura and Kishi needed a way to resolve Hinata's feelings?

At least Gaara is a three dimensional character.

 

I just want this movie to start with something dramatic.  Something game changing.  Just imagine this, except Kakashi's coronation.   Not filler and shipping fodder for a one dimensional female.

She throws 3 Kunia knifes, Yeah I'm that bored that I watched that part of the trailer in ultra slow-mo to see that, though amazingly it's more interesting than the plot of the movie apparently.

KnS point is that there are times that we keep getting confused or mislead like how Hinata being kidnapped keep on popping out in here. It's as if we're going circle. You may noticed that I was absent the whole day yesterday. Because I have to see the reactions and all that. And it's true, we keep going circle. So I understand what he's saying.
