Great so it will start where it left off. I can't wait now and no I don't read the manga. Why, is it bad that I don't?I don't think so... Season 2 will most likely be an original adaptation, with the only difference to many other original adaptations (I'm looking at you Akame ga Kill) that it is written by Ishida Sui himself. It might contain elements from everything from the events after the Kaneki vs Jason fight scene in the manga, but I assume it will deviate from the original material.

Lol, no, it's ok. I haven't started the manga until two days ago.
If you ever do read the manga, I think it's best to wait until season 2 is over simply to not let the original story influence your overall impression of the anime. This happened to me when I first watched the anime and then saw the manga. The anime switched certain lines and scenes with the characters that I actually think were a lot better than the manga.
