Poor Naruto :c

I honestly think we have a confirmed resolution. I mean, possibly Kishimoto has referenced this moment in Sakura's part 2 hug.

Noticed her hand on Sasuke's neck? Notice it also here:

So, in my opinion, no more "poor Naruto". He got exactly the same.

It is just like he stated the goal to reach Hokage title when it seemed  impossible for him (when he was young and had no talents).  He might be drawn to goals that are almost impossible to achieve, it is like he always has to prove something, he needs a shining star ahead, but doesn't really need to touch it. Hinata, for example, is right there for him, he can take her anytime. So he is not interested at all, doesn't even adress her confession and calls another girl his girlfriend in her presence. Sakura, on the other hand, has always been a forbidden fruit.

I can see all the hints in manga pointing towards such masochistic trait. But I don't think that this is the author's intention, that would be too difficult of a theme for a shounen.

I've been on the same track of thoughts many times. That is why finding a believable resolution for Sakura and Naruto's feelings is not a simple thing. I even doubt that Kishimoto will grant us something profound. If MinaKushi love story is his pinnacle of romance then... well, I don't hold my hopes so high anyway. Without going into some psychological theory, I'd say that he's been keping them a triangle for too long. Even when there was no Sasuke on the horizon (who am I kidding, he always was), the two of them were a triangle. I gives me shivers. Especially when I remember how stormy was Naruto's reaction (denial and protest) when Sakura tried to throw Sasuke out of the equation (LOI confession).

I'm going to take a break from this drama-manga. This chapter was beyond my worst expectations. I'll come when Sakura remembers that Naruto and many people (she cares about) might die because of Sasuke. This kind of love can only bring self-hate. She was right about calling herself a disgrace. Sakura sure looks like one. Progress... what progress?

I HATED this chapter. One of the worst chapters in the history of Naruto.
I could find a silver lining in SS apparently being crushed for eternity in a hundred ugly pieces, but this silver lining is too damn thin.

I feel a lot of anger and disgust right now.

This chapter was annoying NaruSaku-wise, but I take solace that both Sakura and Kakashi were specifically speaking in past tense when referring to her "love" for Sasuke. I see this as Sakura releasing all the turbulent feelings she's had about him since his defection and betrayal, old and new feelings.

We all need to calm down and reread the chapter rationally. But I'm too frustrated to do it now. Probably, the other users are right telling us that Sakura could barely do anything else in such kind of situation. I'm not into thinking that she still loves Sasuke like she did three years ago (she spoke for the good of the team... she even implied that Sasuke disappointed her ), but the whole wording and those tears... argh! She is the blind hope of this manga.

Kishimoto has betrayed all the people, who believed in Sakura, her growth, her developments both with Sasuke and Naruto.

That face. That face was the begining of something new. I knew that this was the Sakura we all wanted and waited for.

6h5chi.png

I stopped at that page and inhaled loudly as I knew I was going to be rewarded for my belief in Sakura. This had to be the moment she told Sasuke how she can never let him do as he pleases again and how she is not that girl anymore who could forsake her home to be with him. I wanted her to tell Naruto how she believes in him, that he will drag this bastard home.

And then she cried and pleaded with him.

I feel like the author has spat in my face (spitted?).

'If I still have a place in your heart?" ARE YOU F SERIOUS??

Sasuke's answer was so expected I almost felt sick. How he told her that he has never been interested and that she was daydreaming about him.

I wished he would actually strike her. I wished Naruto would have a brighter reaction.

We got nothing.

All fanships can go cry in their pillows now.

She didn't have to do much. She could have just given Naruto a final "go ahead, I support you truly". It would have been PLENTY. Not just from shipping perspective, but as a confirmation of Sakura's growth. She told Naruto that she would help him return Sasuke home. She told him that both in Part 1 and Part 2 several times. She could have at least channeled her strength into Naruto. I mean, emotional strength. And yet she didn't give him a single glance as he was heading towards a possible death.

And even when she pleaded, she pleaded from her own point of view, she didn't go a step further from "I love(d) you, so be with me".

-first of all Sakura words to Sasuke was her regret that she belive in him. later was her anger that was focused on herself. She feel disgusted about her her past feelings and her dream of team. I fell sorry for ther but in same time she need this kind of resolution to understand.

- Naruto was dissapointing in chapter. He should understand that talk with Sasuke now after his proclamation s pointless. I think Kishi make good ground fight for dead. Kakashi was out of picture.

overall Kishi did crashed to dust SS in one chapter. that s really big impact.

My last hope is that "Stab through my heart and kill yourself in it" works for SS in the end. Still... it would propably be better if Sasuke stabbed her in reality. Right through her chest. Kishimoto doesn't want to burn bridges for his return. Unfortunately. Now I'm sure that SS-shippers will claim that Sasule cast a genjutsu on Sakura because he cared... and didn't want her to interfere in the upcoming fight fearing that she'll die.

Same first impression. But she didn't say "be with me"... she said "be with us like we used to be". (something along those lines). That is one of the most positive things in her speech.

My last hope is that "Stab through my heart and kill yourself in it" works for SS in the end.

Same first impression. But she didn't say "be with me"... she said "be with us like we used to be". (something along those lines). That is one of the most positive things in her speech.

Haha, yeah, very precise.

She said "if we're together again". Though I agree that she probably meant them as a Team, not as a couple.

24zwtw5.png

She was talking about her feelings in past tense and the whole theme was to show how both desperate AND stubborn she was. Those were truly SS final words. And I felt that they were lingering in the air for awhile now, but I still hoped that Sakura would do the whole "mind-changing journey" by herself, silently, like in that big page where we only saw her face changing.

The most frustrating in this whole ugly scene was the "if I still have a place in your heart" part. Because those are not the words of a person, who even mildly understands the pain of another person.
This is the false confession all over again. Sakura just fails to get what her loved ones are going through. And she still believes that LOVE alone can be enough. Not just love, but her love, her love in some kind of vacuum. Just like she came to Naruto and told him "I have feelings for you, so forget everything and enjoy." (I'm exaggerating, sorry)

We know that Kishimoto considers "stubborn" to be a good trait, but it felt like his big mistake. He dragged this relationship way too long, so the end of it was naturally very toxic.

You know, a former SS shipper in me hurts a lot now. As I became NS sipper, I wanted SS to end, to be resolved. But I never wanted it to end so ugly, one-sided, disgracefull for Sakura's character. Her affections for Sasuke were shallow in the begining of Part 1, desperate in the end of Part 1, strange in the middle of Part 2, unnatural in the War arc and now they ended like a true rock attached to the neck - they sunk a beautiful heroine character. Everything that I saw in this pairing in the begining of my Naruto journey has been treated like crap and left on the side of the road.

P.S. Look at Kakashi's face. I think, he expressed it all. First he looked at her with anticipation, then all that was left was to feel pain for her again.

I know that Kishimoto didn't intend to show it as something bad. He put words in Kakshi's mouth to show how Sakura's feelings are just so strong, how she is just so kind and sincere. But it just doesn't work for me.

I don't know, we see the flashback to when Sasuke has told her "thank you". Maybe this was sort of a confession to her. Maybe I am the only one to see a platonic gratefulness in those words.

You know, a former SS shipper in me hurts a lot now. As I became NS sipper, I wanted SS to end, to be resolved. But I never wanted it to end so ugly, one-sided, disgracefull for Sakura's character. The problem is that Sakura has always been the "glue" in her team. And that function is what made her say all these things. Perhaps, we would have heard something new if she had the chance to continue. But alas! If I were in Sakura's shoes I'd be deep in self-hate right now. ((( And self-hate is a great obstacle when another love keeps knocking on your door.

I'm sure that Kishimoto will address SS once more. And make Sakura understand Sasuke... a little bit. Maybe you'll be more satisfied next time.

We just need to keep waiting. That's all. (((

we gone get a a BIG NS moment soon, Naruto proved he cares about the promise and he is doing it for her, even though he doesn't know that ain't want she want.

And as much as I love Sakura-Chan she really really pissed me off this chapter, she deserved that Hand in her chest for crying over him and the way Naruto acted towards it was even worse it was like he didn't even care... Unless I missed something, it seemed like Sasuke cast a genjutsu on her and it revealed what her thoughts was? Correct me if I'm wrong?

This chapter made me highly doubt Kishimoto's job as a writer, if this was the way he was showing that SS is officially dead then got damn that was weird way to do it. Not to mention that Naruto basically acted with little to no emotion when the girl that Kishimoto claims he loves got stabbed right in front of his eyes. wtf Kishimoto? And also, it hurt me how she said all that to Sasuke in front of Naruto after the confession and everything she said to him. That only furthers why Naruto ain't confessing because of crap like that what Sakura-Chan be doing.

As far as I could tell, they had this dreadful conversation in reality, then Sasuke has cast a genjutsu on her of how he stabs her. Naruto didn't see the stab itself, though he saw the genjutsu being cast and Sakura loosing consciousness. Though he could express more emotions in the situation where his beloved was emotionally destroyed.

I thought that the past tense ("loved") in this chapter's converstaions was crucial and very underlined by the author. It might be a repeated mistake of the translator, but I don't think so. To me it was a solid END for SS, nothing further. No doubts here. I can imagine Sakura opening her eyes and saying something like "I am free". Even if Sasuke returns to the good side, it will never be the same. I agree that she had to feel the physical pain of him breaking her heart literally. It was very symbolic by Kishi.

I still think it's a major call-back to her confession in pt1. It was worded differently and answered more harshly by Sasuke this time around. It just feels like this was her closure, one last plea to the man she loved. Be it romantically or platonically.
