So the movie release has been delayed in the Phillippines due to film content. It's moved from Dec 17 to a tba January date. What exactly does that mean? 
 
edit: and is this the same for Australia and New Zealand? Have they been delayed as well, or have they always had a January release date?

It is never mentioned on why they delayed it. Maybe they want to see if the others have made profit before they show it. And there is an upcoming movie festival this December, maybe they want to focus on it.

I heard from some of our Filipino family that there's a film festival going on which is why it was delayed. and considering Japanese fans're not happy... yeah, I think it could be a sign of good things, Tricksie.

 

That's what I was wondering about. Smiter mentioned it, and I wondered it there was any more news, or any more specifics.

 

Like if it's a film festival, that would have had set dates and would have been well known in advance of the Naruto movie. So that shouldn't suddenly halt the release of the movie.

 

Then what could have been something unexpected that suddenly delayed the movie? Connecting the dots, it does sound like they're either doing damage control or waiting for the bad publicity to blow over.

 

I wonder what the pairing love is like in the Philippines? If it is not completely in support of NH, then the movie is going to go over like a ton of bricks.

So do I, Tricks, especially since we've even seen that NH fans are starting to hate The Last because of how contrived it is, even if we got some who still love it just for the sake of NH being canon and how it just wrecks NS to justify NH which is stupid as hell, as I've thought from the time I saw the ending.

Most of them are neutral fans. In the shipping part, I think NH is more popular in here.

I do wonder where NS is most popular. Of some of my closest friends, I'm the only NS fan. My first friend Sam is an NH fan (even if I think it's not 100% accurate since he admitted he wanted Naruto and Hinata to get together) and my other friend Kurt's neutral.

I think many people root NH mainly because they see Hinata as a sweet, innocent and perfect "yamato nadeshiko" character.

That's what I thought too, without seeing how she doesn't really GROW in a relationship with Naruto, while Sakura does since she can comfortably be herself.

I have yet to hear from someone where NS is more famous than NH. Here in the US, I think, it is obvious that Hinata and thus NH is preferred. Back then in Germany, I remember that Sakura was hated like crazy. Even little kids thought so T_T

And only because she isn't "abusive" like Sakura is, but Sakura still is more supportive than Hinata is of Naruto, since Sakura BELIEVES in him as well as knowing the REAL Naruto Uzumaki, not the fantasy of him Hinata has had in her head for who knows how long she's "stalked" him.
