i still think the 2011 ova or the ova and the tsukiyomi for sakura theory at the same time is a thing that can happen, besides i'm sure there are manga that continued until a while later even when they had a movie to end the series come out before the manga ending, i mean that's like saying the movie shouldn't be made until on the manga's last chapters and its been being filmed much longer than that. i'm sure there could possibly be 30+ chapters and if not, well then the movie will give the answers

 

 

I agree, and thanks for the help for bringing up the viz translation. Everyone seems to be at ease now after the past few days of well you know. So It's nice to see things finally calm in this thread (for the most part), and about next chapter I'm quite interested in what Sasuke's meaning of Hokage is gonna be. If anything I believe we'll probably get  a talking chapter, and maybe see Naruto and Sasuke Clash at the one another at the end of 694.

What's so hard to understand? Hiruzen loved Orochimaru but he didn't want him to become his either. Let me re-translate it to how I interpreted it.

 

Sakura "I love you"

 

Sasuke "kitten you"

 

Kakashi "you didn't need to put her ina  genjutsu"

 

Sasuke "I don't like her and there's no reason for her to like me"

 

Kakashi "she loves you she's not in love with you"

 

 

 

She says she loves him, not that she is IN love with him though. And even if she is still in love, she no longer wants a relationship with someone who stabbed her and all. Easy to understand and a good reason to move on. 

 

 

I say it will get longer for her to wake up. 

 

 

So...what you're telling me is...basically...we got worried over nothing?

 

And um...It's Sakura which is why I would find it hard to understand

You know, i am starting to think Kishimoto did this on purpose. The confusion I mean. There really is no clear answer because it is supposed to be really too ambiguous to tell fully due to the contradiction and word play. I mean, you all said so yourself that the term "love" is used in several different ways and neither one match up.

I think Naruto and Sakura both love Sasuke the same way...as a brother now. I truly believe it has become platonic, but because of how she said that love people believe it is something else. We know both Naruto and Sakura can never truly let go of Sasuke at all because they feel for him. However, I think Naruto can say he loves Sasuke too, but it doesn't mean a romantic love. I know what the raws say, but at the same time, I feel like...it feels off and it is meant to be off until it can be touched upon more.

Either way, SS is dead and nothing can bring it back except for a massive asspull.

She is in love with him still, the Viz translation really doesn't change anything other than making Kakashi's dialogue less terrible.

She loves him, Daisuki was used, what is clearly a term for romantic love. 

But Sakura does not longer desire to be in a romantic relationship with Sasuke as she wanted before. 

She just wants Sasuke to be safe and happy and with them (aka old Team 7), just like Naruto. 

 

So ... she kind of still loves him ... but kind of don't ... her feelings have "matured" ... somewhat. 

I really don't get it at all.

So how far away is the VOTE from where they are now? Depending on how close it is Sakura could wake up in the next chapter or the not until the fight is over.

The VotE is situated on the border with Otogakure in the central northern part of the Land of Fire. Everyone in the Alliance is somewhere between the Lightning and Rain countries in the northeastern area of the continent. It's possible that Sakura might wake sometime during the middle of the fight. She and Kakashi can set out for the battlefield.

Kakashi has a knack in blaming himself for the tragedies that happen to befall the people in his life. To curse himself for a lack of intuition and strength would have been an in-character reaction for Kakashi when he finally arrived at the disastrous site of Naruto lying on the ground presumably dead with Sasuke having vanished into the blackening rainfall.

Just imagine the symbolism that a desperate race against the clock to reach Naruto and Sasuke would have. Kishi is obviously using this rematch as a call-back to the Sasuke Retrieval arc. This might be the opportunity that Kakashi has been hoping for to redeem himself in reaching Naruto and Sasuke in time.

Of course, but I mean have an interest in the romance subplot all of a sudden. He said so himself that he never thought about it much, but I wonder if this was in the plans the whole time. Make people let their guard down little by little then throw something they never expected that only appears what it is and not what it is in actuality.

yeah, I did some research and kishimoto has had alot of experience as a mangaka besides naruto, like a manga called karakuri, which was canceled, before naruto was even made, and several oneshots,some non-naruto related, like mario and bench(I've never seen any of these I'm just posting what I read), some of which are relatively new, so I'm not so sure he's as inexperienced as people are making him out to be, seems like he'd have gotten the hang of it by now. I really wish I had an idea where to read naruto: tales of a gutsy ninja, I really want to read that and see what its like xD

naruto is masashi first manga as a pro mangaka.

there is a oneshot of karakuri. the main character design is like naruto with sasuke aspect.

in fact sasuke base design come from karakuri main character, with influence from rival character like rukawa, vegeta, and perhaps hiei.

 

If you have naruto early volume, you will see in author note that he is a major in art and I think he never became assistant of another mangaka.

Err, what? She's still confessing while weeping and begging to him, mirroring her Part 1 self to a T. Nothing is going to make this chapter "not suck anymore" for Sakura.
