I tend to disagree, i know it's a gross measurement but Road to Ninja had way more misleading advertisements than this movie.

Road to Ninja trailers give a notion of a battle oriented movie with special feature of the k11.

But ended as a casual family film.

In this ad we already know that it will be focused on Naruto-Hinata relationship, featuring a recycled brolly from DBZ.

 

The premise of Road to Ninja was that Naruto and Sakura were transported to an alternate universe where the history and people contrasted heavily with that of the original world in the manga. Its  buildup was intended to convey that drastic departure from conventional circumstances and explore a possibility of the Naruto universe that was never seen before. But unlike RtN, The Last is nested firmly within the confines of the original world. RtN's gimmick of another world waiting to be glanced at is inapplicable to this new movie.

 

What we see from the promotional media this year should have been more pertinent to the subject matter of the story and the involvement of the characters. Instead we're fed suggestive imagery of Team 7 together along with inaccurate excerpts from early sketch descriptions that would lead one to believe that Naruto's emotional state of being was directed towards another person than what the truth actually was. Moreover, it was being toted as the final film of the franchise - just the name itself was leading everyone to believe that it was truly the last film before the series was completed. But with the announcement of another film set to be released in less than a year's time, hindsight is describing to us that we were being falsely incentivised to purchase merchandise (things that were eventually replaced by Hinata-centric products - replacing all other characters on the shelves - and trying to swindle those that made orders for other goods relating to said characters by giving them Hinata instead) and tickets for Naruto's final debut before the story came to an end. Also, there's the simple fact that as a last movie, you would expect for all, or at least most, unresolved subplots to be resolved and for characters to receive their proper closure. That was not the case.

 

Kishi also assured that The Last would tie up loose ends when in actuality it did nothing more than cherrypick Hinata's wants and centre the entire film around her bastardising Naruto into a spiteful, guilt-ridden schmuck who materialised feelings for the girl out of thin air. 

 

In the end, I believe that the circumstances behind Road to Ninja's advertisements versus The Last's are drastically different. Sure, the K11 was given notable placement in the cover and promotional art, but they were merely extensions to the move's plot concept. 

 

 

It earned one billion yen in 9 days. It's opening weekend it earned 515,331,800 yen or 396,280 tickets. Take that away from the total and you get 484668200 yen. Divide that by 7 to get the average per day is 69,238,314 yen per day. At the average price of 1300 yen per ticket that means 53,260 people on average are watching the movie a day AFTER opening weekend most likely without preorders.

 

I don't really have any idea what these numbers mean though

 

An average which when multiplied by the amount of days that have expired since the second week began comes out to about 206,263,437 yen. The fallout from the beginning week would still have some residual effect in the short term future. And it's questionable how many of those who attended were casual enthusiasts as someone mentioned versus those who preordered and only just now going to watch the film.

Oh no your good, I just need to remember to bookmark important things like this in case i need to reference it to anyone. 

 

The ending of AOT scares me at the moment, but it's best to just wait and see what happens. I've got hopes that Isayama knows what he's doing with the series. 

 

And about the ova, wow what was up with that music like damn that was spectacular. I thought reading the levi manga spin off was great, but this just takes it to another level. Thanks for the link by the way. 

I trust Isayame, too. There are still so many questions that need to be solved. It would take forever to list all the mysteries of the series in here.

I will see the OVA as soon as I get home. You see, this side character deserved the attention he gets unlike this so-called Hinata- hime- boobs- sama. He's a good side character, and doesn't gain hatred from a huge chunk of the fandom.

As for the music, this music is probably Mikasa's theme? It was played during the scene Mikasa almost gave up just after she found out Eren "died". It's one of my favorite scenes in the entire anime ^_^ The music should start at around :34 I think. Btw, I'm a EreMika shipper, but not that passionate (less these days thx to Naruto; I've learned to be careful with shipping).

Okay, so it's not less than 10% of YJ's total review amount. Now the question is whether that site is easily available to people from other countries to influence.

 

 

They wrote 3 new 5 star reviews. They are all short. In 2 of them they say it was funny (?) in the last one one said, "the reviews are aggressive, I want to go and see it" .-.

 

These haven't been taken down, yet thorough and well-reasoned reviews that expose this film for what it is like the one Ramen's friend wrote have been deleted numerous times for no reason and is having to be posted under a second identity just to remain up on the website. Yeah, go figure.

I can't believe that Levi won't be in that live-action adaptation. What BS is this?! I've lost my interest in that movie adaptation anyways, after I saw the cast.
