Oh My God, now I don't know if what I am about to say is canon, filler, or different in the manga ( I'm 99.9 percent sure it is canon), but in the last episode of the anime(eng dub) Sakura stood up for Naruto. I am referring to when Sai uses reverse psychology on Sakura to re kindle Sakura's faith in Naruto. Sai bad mouths Naruto and Sakura gets pissed and I mean pissed (she partially breaks a tree) she tells him to (lack of better words) shut the f up or I'm going to knock you the f out. She states that Naruto has saved their lives more times then she can count and that whenever people doubt it he always proves them wrong. She says that's what makes him Naruto Uzumaki. Then when Sai reveals his intention to put faith back in Naruto (she blushes for the entire scene might I add). Also the fact that she has been watching him train everyday even in the rain, with no regard for her health, her duties elsewhere and she is still bringing him food pills. narusakuct7.gif

That was a filler scene during the Hidan and Kakuzu arc when Naruto was learning rasen shuriken so yeah it's that way back from the series. I think it's was around ep 83 or 82.

Yea I was talking about the English dub, it was new to me cause they just aired it last night.
So it was filler, wow they really fit that in perfectly. Now that I think about it that's insane how that episode was a filler, they talked about the akatsuki plans, asuma's death, and Naruto's new way of making the rasenshuriken. Man they got me, and it was such a great Narusaku moment, I must have replayed Sakura sticking up for Naruto for at least fifteen minutes.

@bthug - The entire episode wasn't filler, just the moment with Sakura and Sai watching Naruto train (the scene with Naruto training in the rain WAS in the manga, as was the Akatsuki scene, the scene in Tsunade's office etc).

There's only one thing for it, you've got to start reading the manga. You're missing out, pal. wink.gif I'm sure someone here knows a link where all the chapters are available.

out of another curiosity, has sakura ever shown pity for naruto or vice versa? and if so, how can we tell the difference between her pitying him and her caring about him? I know she really does care about him, but i'm just wondering.

That was actually a filler. The whole Hidan/Kakuzu arc had NS filler moments, basically to show what Kishi has already been implying, that Sakura's feelings for Naruto are evolving. I think in the manga they sort of imply that Sakura is watching Naruto train, but it doesn't have Sakura cooking soldier pills, crying over Naruto, defending Naruto, etc.
It sort of bugs me when they add filler scenes during the canon; it makes it hard for non-manga readers to understand whether what's going on is a filler or not. It's sort of like that lame Hinata backstory or Sakura's LONG flashback in the last episode. Heck, I remember watching Hinata's fight against Pein, and how epic they made it look. In the manga, it was LITERALLY a one page fight. Basically just: POWER UP! SHINRA TENSEI! STAB! Dead.
But in retrospect, it's probably better those scenes were filler. In the filler, they make Hinata a great cook, while making Sakura a terrible one. Considering how Kushina is a good cook, and her last words to Naruto, this could sort of bite us on the bum if it was canon.
But I remember liking that scene with Sakura defending Naruto though biggrin.gif .

Well, since its filler it doesn't mean anything, and kushina told naruto to find a girl like her. She never said to find a girl who can cook like her. happy.gif

Definitely.

But that part of the filler- her watching him training was more actually showing what Sakura was doing- Tsunade's words to Sakura strongly hints that Sakura is watching Naruto's training and Tsunade (who was strongly hinted at knowing Sakura's feelings for Naruto, as far back as when Sakura asks Tsunade to train her back at the end of part 1) knows it. "How is Naruto's training going?"

The cooking stuff with the pills and Hinata's cooking stuff in the omake was complete filler though. It was just another example of Pierrot slapping the stereotypical shonen tsundere traits onto Sakura (and trying to make Hinata look better than Sakura in the omake. When if you look at their social circumstances Sakura is the one that should know how to cook well and Hinata shouldn't know the first thing about cooking.)

I'm hoping that Kishimoto has a scene somewhere along the way that shows Sakura being very highly skilled in cooking and baking. It actually fits with her personality that she would be- she eagerly learns from books and is quite good at applying that knowledge. (She is very highly skilled at preparing antidotes and poisons after all... and is clearheaded and calm while doing so- this would be the same way she would approach cooking and baking, because you use the same skills.)

nope never pity, only concern and loving love.gif care on Sakura's part she hasn't been put in danger in part II for Naruto to worry about her or the only time she had, Naruto was chasing Gaara and Naruto has proven his love for her countless times

From Neji? dry.gif If she was in danger from HIM that would only insult her character and contradict Kishimoto's intention of being more heroine like down.gif , not saying Neji is weak, He's definitely strong and talented but Sakura should be able to handle him, but if not YEAH Naruto could save her again, but I would personally like Sakura to win her share of fights and be more portrayed as one of the strongest shinobi/ninja of her time. That would be nice and would definitely make her the official heroine happy.gif

Yea sorry I just love watching the anime, and If I read the manga I wouldn't watch the anime just cause I don't like seeing things twice especially in a close time frame, sorry I guess I am just weird like that.
Man they really bamboozled me with throwing just a little bit of filler in that episode shamefulcry0js.gif
I feel like most of the Narusaku moments are filler now, jeez it feels like we barely have any moments at all, this is depressing.

It's not Sasuke. Kishimoto already made it clear it's Naruto. Seriously, the western style of romantic story telling makes too many westerners misread Japanese manga's romantic storytelling.

Exactly. And I'll also point out a couple of differences between east and west in how some relationships work. The west misreads Sakura's interaction with Naruto simply because of differing cultures. In the east, some couples do whack the men around when they're doing/saying something stupid. A real-life example in my life would be my brother-in-law and my sister. Whenever my brother-in-law says something sarcastic, she always hits him in the ribs but really, it's anything but negative. My brother-in-law simply just likes to push my sister's button to get her a bit riled up and I have fun watching their antics. happy.gif

Uh no. In fact Pierrot has a longer history of undermining manga canon narusaku moments.

If you find reading 500+ chapters too daunting, go here and see the narusaku moments up to chapter 459.

Let's have some confidence people there is NO evidence that SS or NH will happen all the evidence and development has lead towards NS.

Its not that we lack confidence exactly just that some feel the anxiety clogging them up because there was nothing official dry.gif heavy and strongly implied hints yeah but they've been interpreted in many ways especially with those SS and NH shippers from huge denial and to violent protest. But most of all I guess its because its been put off time and time and time again so we only feel doubt because we keep asking ourselves is this happening or not?! sad.gif I want a conclusion already! Maybe we all feel that way perhaps? but It WILL come wink.gif

Remember that just because NS is not 100% certain, does not somehow negate the fact that it is many, many times more likely than SS and NH. Also that while those shippers would have liked the story to have taken a different direction in the past, does not change where the story is actually at now.

Oh, I know that. I'm only stating they maybe reasons why some people are still doubting; its taking too long and you'd kinda would want to win right now so that the other shippers would have nothing to rant on anymore except fan fiction and and bashing the character they wanted to go with their character and leave out their silly, pathetic, baseless arguments on why their shipping should happen; Seriously debating with SS and NH shippers only leads to migraines and face palms the the NS fans' part facepalm.png down.gif

But thank you for explaining that though. It would make a lot of our comrades feel better happy.gif
