My Live Reaction to the chapter:

Wow, I'm impressed with this chapter. If there's one thing I always hoped more out of the series, it's that it could use some more world-building and this chapter delivers (I hope). So Zera's greeting Gajeel in wherever they are right now. We know that she's very much dead, but became a "fairy", so to speak. If I'd hazard a guess, the place Gajeel is in now is the realm between the world of the living and the afterlife. I also think that it's something of a neighboring place to the CS realm, given that she's a "fairy".

What I think will happen from here on is Gajeel being guided by Zera back to the world of the living, but it's obviously not gonna be a walk in the park. We all knew that Gajeel's going to be revived somehow, but if it has to happen, I'd rather see Gajeel clawing his way back to the living world. It'd make the revival that much more meaningful to me as opposed to magically reviving DB-style.

Well that was interesting? I'll be honest wasn't that impressed with the chapter until the end, I thought Brandish's magic was ridiculous but 'Eileen's' magic is on a whole new level, yeah she just shrunk the entire country to 5% or it's original size and moved everyone about...no biggie.

 

The title for next weeks chapter is also interesting, mother and child, is this about Eileen and Erza, or about Mavis and Zera, (as Zera was a creation of Mavis's magic). Also I wonder what Zera meant as the Fairies of Origin?

 

Edit: On a sidenote the level of sexual harrasment Lucy has to endure through Natsu, and the manga in general is getting old, they really need to reel it back.

One thing I learned is that Kodansha wasn't going for Game of Thrones of killing everyone because life sucks, rather going for One Piece. Ok. Now I have my eyes on "that" series to pull the same trigger.

Well sure. I don't mind that much (depends on how you present it), it's just the way it was done here was a bit...mixed. I know at MS, people are livid. Like they want so much blood. I know why yet I don't know why. But seriously, did Eileen accidentally brought him back or something? Because that's just silly.

I don't know, but I think Gajeel is really alive now. If he's in some kind of underworld/hell/purgatory, why are only he and Mavis there? Why does the landscape look just like any part of Fiore? Why is Gajeel still wounded? Why is Zera an adult when she was just a small child when she died? If she changed in the underworld, why didn't Gajeel? It could be that they were just particles and Eileen's magic simply 'compressed' them. Like i said, I don't know, but I sure am happy that Gajeel is back. Even if he isn't alive now, he'll get resurrected soon enough, because I don't see him dying again.

Sexual harassment? He fell on her...I agree though that the ecchi gets overbearing (on the part of both male and females)

The chapter was meh, kinda been meh for a while. Eileen is pretty bland, and I'm still positive that she's going to be used as some sort of justification for why Erza is ridiculous, it'll probably end up being just as dumb as anything Erza does.

I just want to see END.

Well, look at where Gajeel ended up specifically. He woke up on a riverbank. The Japanese have a belief that souls will end up flowing in the Styx River. So that riverbank could very well be the "Styx River" of the FT-verse. Typically, souls aren't supposed to end up like Gajeel right now. This is because Gajeel is currently in a half-dead state because his will to live is just that strong. At least, I really hope this is the case so as not to cheapen his death.

I dunno about Zera's current form, but it's one of the things that seems better off not askng about it and just go with it.

You never know it could have something to do with the two lackeys of Eileen, who could be twins, (or the legendary Pokemon from the next game, what with their names being Sun and Lunasea) and we all know when you have twins, in fiction you have to have them argue over who the younger sibling is.
