Kakashi is truly the master of disguise. It took me a while to even spot him.

Lol.

You know, where is Yamato? Is Kishi going to kill him off? Actually, where is he, seriously?

A while ago I was reading some Naruto chapter and suddenly I started wondering where Yamato was. Then I remembered that he had been kidnapped. I hope he gets rescued ASAP. Poor guy. Has everyone just forgotten him or do they think he has gone to his annual vacation to Bahamas or something?

Anko is taken away by Juugo. I do wonder what's coming for her. I seriously can see that arc to be a lot of Orochimaru and Sound flashbacks as well Sasuke and his team. It seems like that if you ask me. But yeah, Yamato wasn't seen again. So yes, what happened to him?

That will rush me to buy manga. But I digress.

For the record, even if he somehow (extreme force) made that with NH instead, the story behind is still NS parallel; thus, making it very uncomfortable to see the comparison with NH. I do believe people aren't naive as we can assume. At the very least, when the battle ends, before Obito dies, he may see Naruto being healed by Sakura and resembles himself with Rin and perhaps say something sad and nice and then, death. Since Sakura is last according to 573, I guess it may happen when Obito/Madara are in their last straw. It could be that Juubi is stopped by alliance, or Juubi is free and uncontrollable. If only I can see the future of this battle, then I can get start it.

@Moon: That's it, thanks. Like how Sakura yells at him to do something about Kuruma.

Agreed. That idea is genius.

NaruHina paralled to ObiRin would ridiculously increase it's chances but the problem is exactly that. It's forced and out of nowhere. I'm not ruling it out 'cause anything's possible at this point but I have trouble seeing it. No, it's not naive or wishful thinking. The ObiRin parallel being connected to NaruSaku through injury or death is a very possible option. Kishimoto could not do it but the hidden potential so far is so ridiculously usable and open, it wouldn't even seem forced. I'm not joking. With each chapter passing, I can feel the potential. I didn't really find this idea very likely until I read the chapter when Obito revealed he had the Rinne Tensei. Someone's gonna die and be brought back for his redemption. And I don't think it's Neji, folks.

One things for sure. If Kishimoto doesn't execute this himself, I'm writing an ObiRin/NaruSaku fanfic where it does. tongue.gif The potential is killing me.

Bolded: It is not that I can't see the potential. I can see that, too, and it would not really surprise me to see Kishi take the manga there. At this point, to me, it just seems that Neji was "Rin", someone who died and made Naruto want to go to the dark side. And Hinata saved him from that. Why repeat this again with Sakura? And if Sakura dies, who stops Naruto from going to darkness? Hinata? No one?

As far as Obito goes... Kakashi just has to play a role in his story. He knows what really happened with Rin and they are old friends, the ones that used to have a bond. We still don't know how Kakashi realized he had the super version of sharingan (can't spell its name without looking). And, I suppose, Kakashi's storyline needs a resolution, too.

In a way, Neji was. No doubt about that. He made Naruto realize he couldn't do everything and realistically, he can't protect everyone. That shook him so he almost gave up. The moment was definitely for Hinata development but I guess Naruto too for what I put above. However, it's still different. Naruto never lost the woman he loved right in front of him like Obito did. While he is able to understand in some semblence because of Neji, it's not the same. So Naruto can't really understand him enough to save him. Nor would Obito completely listen I don't think because of the different relationships they had with the people. That's where I'm going with this. Here's what I think would be good storytelling. Naruto has no one to bring him back. Naruto brings himself back. Not because Sakura doesn't mean enough, but of the opposite. She wouldn't want him to turn into such a thing but it's also more than that. Naruto would remember his other friends, other goals, and how giving up now wasn't who he was. It's not his ninja way. What Hinata said to him before this would enforce that. Basically, it's him sucking in everything he's learned and remembering who he is and finally proves that he isn't like Obito. Naruto partially proved that by 615 but he proves it completely here.

I think my main reason why I'm fond of this idea is not because of the NSness that would come with it. Quite the opposite. By Sakura dying, it simultaneously grants character development to both Naruto and Obito. It sets in stone that Naruto is not like Obito and is finally growing up again. It redeems Naruto's character by how easily he fell apart in 615. That's why I see it as very good and satisying storytelling.

Oh, yes. Kakashi's will play a major role in redeeming Obito. That goes without saying. I'm not sure how yet but I know at least this much. I hope Kishi pulls it off well. happy.gif

But I get where you're coming from. I myself am not as sure of it's likeihood after 615 as I was before. But it's undeniable the groundwork for it still stands.

I somewhat agree with you. The only reason why I don't completely agree is because I'm torn about it. Kishimoto has built up so much potential to make the connection between Obito/Rin and Naruto/Sakura. However, as you said, Naruto has already witnessed the death of Neji. Doing the same thing with Sakura would seem kind of bland at this point...

Bolded: One could argue that Naruto can't completely relate to Obito unless Sakura were attacked, as Obito fell into darkness after the death of his love interest. Naruto still hasn't experienced this. It's true that he loved Neji as a friend, but it's also true that he really wasn't that close to him. At least, not as close as Obito was to Rin. The person that fits that role in Naruto's life is Sakura. But again, it would seem kind of redundant to have Naruto go through this again.

I guess it all depends on how Obito responds to Naruto. If he feels that Naruto has experienced the same "hell" as he has, then we'll get a talk no jutsu and Obito will be redeemed. Personally, I think Obito is just getting started. He didn't appear to have "seen the light" from Naruto's reaction to overcoming Neji's sacrifice. We'll just have to wait and see.

I think if the Obi/Rin parallel is made, Naruto and Sakura would not realize that parallel and it would not come into fruition. At most, Naruto will do what Obito didn't, protect the one he loves so that she doesn't die.

If the parallel is made, Obito would be the only one to make it, and not aloud.

Indeed.

Even if he did connect it, it still looks off because again, ObiRin is parallel to NaruSaku due to their events/situations. If ObiRin flashback didn't happen, then all is everyone guess. But since we did, now it is too late to go back. Rin is not shy, not from another team, not an Hyuuga (though it doesn't matter), and not romantically interested in Obito. Instead, it's everything from Team 7. So pretty much what I'm trying to say is that paralleling with NH won't work at all. If happen, it still doesn't work, no matter how.

Like I said, if there's any parallel use time, it could be the end of the battle with Obito slowly dying because I think that's one way for Kakashi to tell him the whole story before he goes away. I doubt Kishi would let Obito not knowing the final missing piece of the puzzle. It will bring the final closure to his character.

I love this idea too. I have no idea what direction Kishimoto will take with the NS/OR parallel, if he will at all. Just pure speculation. The only reason I say Sakura could end up dying is because of the mention of the Rinne Tensei. I very much doubt Neji will be brought back and I also don't think Obito can bring back masses of people like Nagato could. He only has one eye. So someone's going to die again most likely but be brought back. Someone of importance probably.

Well, Naruto claims to relate to Sasuke after losing Jiraiya and wanting revenge for it. Losing a man who was like a (grand)father to you is not exactly the same as being almost murdered yourself and having your entire family slaughtered. Even Naruto losing his mom and dad is not exactly the same as he only learned about them (and how much he had lost) long after their deaths and did not experience this the same way as Sasuke, as Sasuke himself is fond of pointing out. So Naruto already relates to someone despite not being through exactly identical situation. Why not to Obito, too?

It's the same contextual situation. Someone close to him familially (is that a word?) died, Naruto wanted revenge for it. Same with Sasuke. It wasn't the degree of the crime, it was the revenge itself.

Now we have to see Naruto go through what Obito went through. By seeing the one he loves die/get hurt, and not falling into despair/apathy like Obito. That's how he's going to get TnJ'd, no doubt.

I think the general, "The one he cares for gets hurt/killed" has already been fulfilled by Neji, that was the point of the last 2 chapters, it wasn't there for nothing.

Obviously, I'm sure Obito felt his point wasn't being made strong enough, so if he makes the NS parallel to his own failed romance, then there's the possibility of him attempting to make Naruto understand again by hurting Sakura, but Kishi has already used that point, I don't think he'll repeat it again a few chapters after Naruto had to be slapped by Hinata of all people.

Obito might try to kill/hurt Sakura, but I think Naruto is going to keep his word and protect her at the very least, all while again, going against Obito's road to insanity and again, doing what Obito failed to do, protect his loved one.
