The thing I am scared off is since NH and SS fanbase is so larger theres still the chance Kishi could go that route and it would suck big time :(

Why? NS is more popular than SS and NH combined in Japan. and still more popular than both in other counties. only in America is NH/SS is more popular than NS, why? because We are stupid. The way things are going NS will go canon, I have no doubts about it.

May I ask why you read NH arguments?  Is it to be fair?  To make sure you're not missing something?  I'm just curious.

 

Well, we will find out if we're the ones misintepreting.  For me, the thing is that I truly want to ship whatever pairing the author has in mind.  To me that only makes sense, because not only do you avoid disappointment but you have a better sense that you're following the story the way the author intends.

 

I didn't choose to ship NS just because I liked it better than other options.  I chose to ship it because I honestly felt it was what Kishimoto was trying to show me.  And I don't have to trouble myself to dig deep for clues and stretch tiny possibilities out of proportion to substantiate what I believe.  It's right there for the taking.

 

I will say right now that if after everything I've said here, and how adamant I've been about NS being the final pairing, and I turn out to be wrong?  I will not hesitate to be here on this board admitting it.

 

Of course the armchair quarterback in me thinks it probably could have been better.  But we have to take into consideration the circumstances.  It wasn't exactly a moment for roses and long kisses.  Ron showed his true self -- an improved self -- and Hermione responded.  

 

Neither of them knew if there would be another chance.  It was rushed, and considering the long build-up it wasn't as satisfying as it might have been if Rowling had chosen a different moment for them, but considering how it was written I felt it was pretty realistic.

Just curious, if you thought a couple was going to be canon but didn't like it, would you ship it? Or if you liked a couple but didn't think it was going to happen (because maybe it's clear that the author won't make any pairing canon), would you still ship it?

Nah SS is. Besides, on google SS gets 70,000 results and NS gets 53,600. But apparently it's generally accepted that NS is going to be canon and SS is just shipped for fun, so it doesn't matter.

I was talking about Japan's google, I uploaded all 3 shipping names and listed the amount of hits they got, I believe NS had about twice as much hits as SS and NH was way down on the list.

You people atleast have some like minded people in your country. I live in India and very few people here read manga and on top of that, very few read Naruto and on top of that, very few are into shipping business and those who are into shipping business, most of them are NH fans How bad can that be! Probablities of finding an NS fan in 10 people who are into shipping is....1 in 10!

That's true, I read several times on the net that japanese people ship by saying ナルトXサクラ (Naruto x Sakura) and not ナルサク (NaruSaku) while it's false, when you read a discussion or a comment on a ship, you'll see them talking about NaruSaku and not Naruto x Sakura. They call their ship the same as us. That's to say NaruSaku.
