I so wish Naruko was here right now but anyway, that's REM sleep stage and non REM sleep stage. REM stands for Rapid Eye Movement sleep. This is the time when majority of the dreams and abnormal phenomena occur.Kanashibari (jap)?
There was a show here that discussed that. But thank God I never experience that. Only heard some of experiences. That is when body enters stage 4 of sleeping without enters stage 2 and 3. Our brain is awake but not our body <-- science says.

Sleep paralysis occurs when you wake up during an REM sleep. Your body is tricked into believing that you are asleep and therefore you cannot move your muscles, but your eyes remain open. You lose control of your body and experience weird things. Like, someone is sitting on top of you, or someone is watching you and things like that. Much like Itachi's tsukuyomi. The perception of time is altered in this stage and hence a few minutes can seem like hours. Absolutely NONE of it is real. It's just our brain playing games with us
Are we saying the same thing or not?
Sorry, I think I'm a little absorbed that I'm a little failed (hopefully only a little) on Basic Statistic exam today.
@Popuri yeah it's creepy ...I tried so hard to reach out to my mom but I couldn't
I had similar reaction but I think it's different. What I experience is sometimes when I have nightmare, I suddenly wake up and but I feel it's so hard to move. Don't know what this called.

They are natural. Nothing so significant about itOh I forgot that I read about it long ago
BTW, I used to experience sleep paralysis frequently before I was 18 but It stopped
& suddenly I experienced it again few days ago.

Nope. You were talking about stages of sleep and I connected that with Sleep Paralysis. So kind of, a continuation to thingsAre we saying the same thing or not?

That is just because you woke up from REM. That's not Sleep Paralysis
Actually I think we're saying the same thing. You technically, me non-expertly. I still remember that since the informants was a doctor and the person explained to audience non-expertly so that they can understand better.
Yes, that's not sleep paralysis, that's why I don't know what to call it.

LOL We aren't saying the same thing. You just talked about sleep stages and nothing you said otherwise explained what she experienced. I have better terms if I choose to go technical. I explained all of that in short but REM had to be saidActually I think we're saying the same thing. You technically, me non-expertly. It's just a normal waking up, nothing else
Oh, okay. The doctor was wrong then.

At times, it's hard to deal with practical experience despite havinf a classic theory foundationI knew they were natural
But, it's funny that I always was scared even if I knew about REM cuz I always felt helpless & even funnier that at first I thought that a ghost caught me lmao
