Anyway,

If i were to rank the 'big 3', it would be OP>>Naruto>>>Bleach.

 

OP is superior to Naruto and Bleach in my opinion.

One of the best action/adventure mangas out there for sure, in fact; it's in my top 5 favourite mangas of all time.

Those who haven't really checked it out definitely should, though I must say that it might take awhile for some new readers/watchers to get into.

But trust me, it gets so much better later on (I personally loved it from the start).

 

 

If you want to try and get into OP, I suggest that you guys watch a small part of this video for a 'rough' idea of the storyline.

But warning though, it contains spoilers..

I didn't really like the FI arc. It felt pointless other than to showoff the crews new strength. And sometimes I get bored of the same formula of going to an island and defeating the boss. And Oda has a lot of explaining on why Sabo didn't show up to help Luffy during the war, because Sabo did say nothing else matters when his brothers are in trouble. I will say that I am looking forward to the rumored new power that Luffy is going to show against Doflamingo, and I can't wait for the big mom fight.
 
And please stay away from the fanbase. They love to claim how Oda is perfect and call him Goda. ugh

I'm sure Oda has a good reason for Sabo not showing up, but I still want Luffy to beat his ass into next year.

Yeah I guess you're right. But it still felt really dragged out though. I always thought Nami's past was done and over with when it came to fishmen but Oda decided to bring it up again, and I didn't like how Sanji treated Jimbei as if he was the one who enslaved Nami. The only thing I really liked about that arc was Luffy kings haki and his declaration against big mom. And the rumored power up is gear 4.

 

OT: Do you guys think Sasuke will charge directly toward the gokage and the let Bijuu's keep him occupied, or do you think Sasuke will give his full attention to Naruto first?

Onepiece is the ultimate shonen manga. It's the dragon ball of this series.
Onepiece formula use by fairytail.
I think bleach is some kind of yu yu hakusou successor.

The problem with onepiece is it would take a long time to end. Other than that, is a great manga.

I tend to shy away from super long series. So it took me FOREVER to check out Naruto. In the end I checked it out because my brother was into it and I began watching episodes with him because it was something we could both enjoy. (My mom doesn't want him to watch anime. I thought Naruto was family-friendly enough that it wouldn't be an issue...until I watched enough episodes lol. So I had to stop watching Naruto with him for my conscience's sake, I didn't like feeling like we were sneaking behind mom's back. And Naruto isn't that mature, yeah, but my mom is strict with program content. I can watch whatever I want because I'm over 18.)

You gave up after 1 arc?  Well to each their own I guess.

I was already pissed because they abandoned the awesome premise within a few chapters and made a generic action adventure shonen. Then I remember there being a relatively satisfying ending to the first arc that was immediately discarded. First it felt like a bait and switch, then it felt like DBZ.

Yeah it was dragged out. Plus hordy sucked as a villain.

How are the Bijuus gonna keep Naruto occupied? They're up in the sky stuck in massive rocks lol If Sasuke is stupid enough to turn his back on Naruto, he's dead. Naruto's speed is unreal.

I think sasuke would dealt with naruto first. He will subdue naruto by genjutsu. He will not kill naruto because he need him to dispel IT. After naruto defeat, sasuke will kill the kages dispel IT, and kill naruto and perhaps sakura and kakashi. He will blame orochimaru. That's what I think would sasuke do.

Or he just kill them because he is sasuke.

What Shonen series isn't generic these days? Nothing can be completely original but that doesn't mean it's still not enjoyable. Now I will admit that Bleach has definitely lost its quality and the only reason why I still read it is because I would like to know how it ends since I invested years worth of reading into it. Basically the same reason why I still read Naruto even though imo I think it's far worse.

While Naruto has its ups and downs, ultimately I believe in it. I believe in the themes that the plot is built on. I believe that the characters are consistent but not stagnant. I've always believed that the plot was going somewhere meaningful.

I'm being a bit hypocritical, though. I love Batman and co, and you wont see a better example of "stories that arent going anywhere" than American comics.

I don't know. Bleach just left a bad taste in my mouth for whatever reason. Now, Norigami! Recently watched that on Netflix. Really reminded me of those initial Bleach chapters, but ultimately followed through and pushed all the right emotional buttons. I really need to check out the manga; I don't think there's going to be a season 2 anytime soon..

Ahem. Absolutely! Kishi has been able to put together a passable plot, but his true talent is in characterization. The reason NaruSaku is so compelling to me is because how well Kishi portrays them growing close after much adversity. I don't know how others can't see the intimacy between those two.

Neither can I. "NaruSaku doesn't even make sense" WHAT. I would love to write about how their relationship grew, but I'm really really tired and it would be really long. xD

Finally! A person here who has positive things to say about Kishi. I totally agree with you vblm.  When it comes to portraying bonds and emotions, Kishi is one of the best mangakas out there. 

 

I have mentioned this a lot of times before. One only has to look at RtN. Absolutely Class and Beautiful writing.
