Also the bigest issue with Hideki/Chi is that they can never, EVER, EVER, EVER have sex...because it will wipe her memories...and reset her completely :umm: So no matter how you look  at it the relationship will never, ever be anywhere near normal. Even excluding her Roboticism.

Muahaha! True that! That's why hideki chooses chii?  :argh:  :argh:  :argh:

Why do I remember this thing?  :argh:  :argh:  :argh:

I had good time with Shinya Kougami from Psycho-Pass episode 7. It was only not more than five secs if I'm not mistaken but I like it!  :kukuku:  :kukuku:  :kukuku:

You mean the zombie attack isn't graphic? I don't know. I didn't really pay attention.

Yes, they're badass! But then when the female chars (tall, long purple/blue hair, who is he?) cooks or fighting in apron (only? or with her underwear only?), I went "Uh, Noooo. Why not the boys?"  :lmao:  :lmao:  :lmao:

Lol, welcome to Japanese anime :zaru:

Unfortunately though I love the country most Mangaka tend to be male and from what I have gathered in class coupled with what I have researched there is a lot of Sexism within the country. But I warn anyone who reads this to take it with a grain of salt bc I have never truly been to Japan and my Japanese teacher happens to be a Feminist.

Too bad too bc there are some good Female Mangaka out there. Fruits Basket is a fantastic Manga from what I've heard. Kind of dark though for a slice of life.

Huh, I always thought it was a High School Shojo?

oh well

To be fair she has been to Japan several times and lived with several host families. She mentioned that it was a 50/50 split between what she believed to be good husbandos and bad husbandos and when I asked her what she thought was the main reason for the declining birth rate and she said women's rights and sexism.

My opinion, I think that definitely plays a role but there's more to it than that.

The government only gives about half the money 26,000 yen needed to pay for one child.

They kind of tried to educate men on how to raise children so that they would help out more with government training programs

And they recently started using the women's centers for daycare minus the fact that they have been around for years.

But it's still insanely expensive to have children, to buy homes, food, taxes, get jobs, etc.

And all of the money is tied up in elder care. They are indeed in quite a pickle

Well they are in Highschool but the more central focus is on the Tohma family and the fact that when hugged by the opposite sex they change into zodiac animals...and there is a lot of interfamily drama.

The fact that it contains magical elements nixes it from "Slice of life" which is classified as focusing on "mundane, everyday life made dramatic" scenarios...

Aside from their issues with a failing birthrate ( something I imagine China will be taking a nose dive into a few years from now considering the mass murder/abandonment of female children.) they've also got Social alienation on the rise, and frankly they are not what you would call "warm" towards foreigners despite what you would expect from such a "polite" society....

Have you been to Nihon Tsuki?

Personally? No, but I "know" ( have read of a lot and met a few) a lot of people who have.

Lys has been and she told me it was an extremely awkward situation, which I don't doubt considering the other stories I've heard  :ermm:

:lmao: the guy who wrote Gaijin smash mentions kids at the school he taught at asking awkward questions about his pee-pee...Cultural thing I suppose...

I honestly don't blame people for thinking Japan is so great...before I read a book about the rape of Nanjing--some of the sickest kitten I've ever heard of came from that book by the way...and it really explains why "they" ( to generalize..) have such a fascination with Rape Hentai and all that other stuff...

Before that book I thought the Japanese people were all rainbows, class and honor too. But, well everyone and every place has a darkside...But, well over the years I become more interesting in this flip side of the "Normal" Japan we are often presented with...and it is pretty dark  :twitch:
