I just find it funny how we knew the trailer would have NH fan teasing, yet when it actually happens we lose our minds.

Just cause we know it's gonna happen doesn't mean we are prepared for it XDDD

You never know what the yamanakas are capable of doing or if Ino might have learned other things than just her clan's jutsus
What amazing techniques? The only offensive capacity that her clan has demonstrably shown is that Shinranshin jutsu that Ino has never even used before. There's nothing to argue or connote to a rivalry of any kind between Sakura and Ino. The former received some of the best possible training out there. For a non-god/jinchuuriki person, her Byakugou seal coupled with the CES (an ability that literally no one else has been able to accomplish besides Tsunade, not even the second star pupil, Shizune) and the summoning contract with a member of the legendary sansukumi trio exceeds whatever mental transference that Ino managed to grasp.
There's no reason or logic to this. It's just another silly attempt to legitimise a character undeserving of the status and publicity that they're receiving (Just like the anime studio's pondering to Hinata as if she were an equally representative character to the protagonists.).
Edit: I'm sorry, it's just that to see this character being propped up with no evidence to justify it with a character as human and hardworking as Sakura, who has had to endure with the adversity of living in the shadows of demigods and with her inferiority complex, it bothers me very much.

There's a possibility that Kishi is indeed a bad writer.
It would not just be bad writing , it would be a lack of common sense .

God this thread is so active lol. I'm looking at the amount of people looking at this topic and I don't even recognise 1/10th of them. Curse me being an oldie-2007 member! Back in my days, we had just finished the original Naruto, and Shippudden was just being translated in glorious Comic Sans!

Not to the extent like he has no brain at all and starts writing a movie that is the total opposite of the manga.
If Naruto had shimmering eyes when he listened to Hinata, it means he heard her saying something and he was surprised like something related to her achievement for her clan, about her sister, about him, about Sakura... Anything.

Here's a thing: there's a guy who wants to kill earth with a freaking moon! Isn't that like asking for why Naruto and friends won't let him destroy the world?
Is that the the villains plot?

No. The villain mistook her with her sister Hanabi.

Lol, Sakura's the Beyoncé of this movie then XDNah... giving a resolution to pairings wars and then focusing on Hinata's efforts to get her feelings to Naruto is a reason why they would go see the film. It adds drama and conflict to the love plot, even if there already is a canon couple. Have you watched the movie Obsessed? While it's not the same situation, the girl tries her best to get with a guy that's already in a loving relationship. Her presence added conflict to the plot and got in-between the couple's relationship. She wasn't a threat to the guy or girl, but her actions made people believe that the guy would give up, leave his wife, and be in a relationship with her.
It brings the possibility of NH still happening in their minds if Hinata's feelings reached him and he realized something. Look at what we have so far, a lot of Naruto and Hinata interaction/Hinata trying to reach him through this scarf. This scarf is being promoted like no tomorrow. We don't even have any Naruto and Sakura interaction in this trailer, and I doubt we'll get it even if they are canon in the manga. Someone here posted that the it's likely the manga will end with NS, but this movie will feature more NH and Hinata's feelings as payback for the fans. Seems like that's the case so far.

Wait isn't this part of a "greater" thing?
Which I've told you - time and time again - is dangerous! There will never be consensus, son, among those you have helped to ascend. They will all differ in their views of what it means to be free. The peace you so desperately seek does not exist.
These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.
