Something about their necks seems odd. I imagine it's quite difficult to draw people from such an angle but then again I know nothing about art. In any case it's quite good. It always amazes me how people can think up so many details and draw them out like this. I also noticed that you drew this on lined paper which leads me to believe that you did this casually. I would love to see what you can draw when you really set your mind to it.

And your right, what a keen eye for detail just what I'd expect from you branded, very skilful (from what I've seen from your posts) I in fact DID draw this casually, I'm actually very passionate about art, especially when it comes to traditional Japanese art!! Particularly naruto!

I actually do have an art book where I draw and color in, I'll show them to you if you'd like where I put all my effort into! But what I really want to do is digital art! But I'm only 16 and got high school ahead of me so..yeah got responsibilities -sigh-

bashing means harshly criticizing  /defaming/putting down something or somebody, ..saying hinata has no character development is completely false ,  biased and unnecesary when the moderator already warned not to stretch out the subject,not only she is indirectly offending hinatas fans but also she keeps insists on the subject despite being asked not to..thats rude if you ask me

sighs. What they said about Hinata it's true. They are not bashing her. Kishimoto himself said that he don't understand woman.

Even if she were capable of confess "her love", we can see this: Sakura knew that "her love" for Sasuke didn't make her any better and she wanted to improve herself not because she wanted to impress him nor because she wanted to die at his side. She wanted to improve herself because she didn't wanted to be protected anymore. Because she wanted to protect what is important to her. Not for the love of a man.

To say Hinata has had no character development is false/biased. Hating on Hinata as a NS fan is just as bad as hating on Sakura as NH fan, yet I see so many people here complain about that--and then do it themselves. I don't get it.

 

Hinata started out as weak and severely lacking in confidence. Through Naruto's example, she slowly grew to like herself more. She went from being destroyed by Neji, to protecting his side. She stood up to a person she would have no chance of winning against, to protect Naruto. She developed her own technique--and while the other people around here stood by in shock as Neji died, including Sakura, it was Hinata who pulled herself from her grief to pull Naruto back from the edge of depression/from giving into Obito. Just because I ship Sakura with Naruto, doesn't mean I have to completely ignore another female character's growth. It's silly, and doesn't make anyone better than that awful 'other side'. And as for the 'kun'ing thing goes, who was it that Sakura thought of after she was saved by Naruto? She didn't thank Naruto, no, she just thought about Sasuke-kun not caring that she was hurt. We can make excuses all we like, but this behavior is no better than Hinata's.

 

Please, Naruto is already a manga that favors the male characters over the female ones. Don't dismiss a woman just because she likes the character you want with someone else. :/

I agree with pretty much everything you've said. Hinata certainly has development, but it ain't something to write home about. Her spurts of courage is all dependent on Naruto. In fact, everything is about Naruto. I find it sad that throughout this war whenever Hinata appears on panel the first thing she utters is Naruto's name. While what you said about Sakura is true, it should be noted that Naruto's opinion of her apparently had a bigger impact than Sasuke not caring about her. Her shocked expression at the thought that Naruto agrees with Sasuke is definitely telling.

The thing is, the difference between Sakura's old fangirling of Sasuke and Hinata's is that it was a handicap to Sakura's growth, while it was Hinata's feelings for Naruto that helped her grow. As for the shocked expression, I took that to me that she was shocked simply because Naruto has almost never said anything negative about her, while Sasuke has almost never said anything positive about her. (I can only think of one instance where he complimented her, lol) So for Naruto to say, "Yeah, Sakura is dead weight"., it would be shocking.

 

I would not be surprised if, after the war, Hinata simply thinks to herself that her romantic time spent with Naruto in the dream world was enough to satisfy her, and she just lets go of her love for Naruto.

I want to answer you but my english is bad so i will write it in spanish.

When i say she doesn't have development or poorly (i prefer to say poorly) i'm refering to the big picture:

Yo creo que Hinata ha cambiado muchas cosas de sí misma que se pueden considerar positivas en diferentes aspectos, eso es cierto.  Pero su centro es Naruto, no es ella misma, por eso el mejorarse a sí misma tienen sus límites y sus lados cuestionables. 

Estaba realmente feliz cuando vi que Hinata dijo "desde ahora dejaré de seguir a Naruto, ahora caminaré a su lado". Esto lo entendí como "quiero ser tu igual" aunque otras personas traten de mostrarlo como algo más romántico. De a partir de ahí se puede decir que empieza su real desarrollo. Antes ella solo copiaba lo que veía de Naruto, si bien la determinación de Naruto sirve como ejemplo, no debería ser copiada, solo servir como inspiración. (Gaara, Sakura, Neji, etc. son personajes que vieron a Naruto crecer y demostrarles que el esfuerzo trae buenas consecuencias. Así es como encontraron "su propio camino ninja") 

Que haya cambiado no significa que ha madurado (aunque aquí no hay rookies 100% maduros, me refiero a que su idea primaria solo se había fortalecido, pero la base no había cambiado. Veámoslo así:

                                     ^ Si ella estaba acá al inicio, lo que sucedió no fue "avanzar" mucho, sino "profundizar". O sea:

Así que aún si se ha hecho físicamente más fuerte, realmente no es un avance de "development", porque su fuerza ha estado siendo justificada con ganar el amor de alguien, imitarlo. Y aunque eso le dio la oportunidad de intentar contradecir su propia inseguridad, el mismo hecho lo limita. Kabuto es un ejemplo de lo contraproducente que es imitar a alguien a quien admirar y tratar de adaptarlo o "absorberlo" como su propia identidad.

Para decir que Hinata tiene character development, tengo que ver como ella se desliga de Naruto y dice: Esto lo hago por mí misma. 

Lo de "Caminar a tu lado." que he entendido "Quiero ser tu igual." es similar a lo que Sakura dijo hace tiempo "Esta vez lo haremos juntos.", "Ustedes ahora mirarán mi espalda.". Ese fue el momento en el que Sakura empezó a florecer realmente, su determinación y escenas anteriores a esas fueron pasos importantes, pero no decisivos. Así como los pasos que dio Hinata han sido importantes, pero no decisivos, porque aún estaba enfocada en que sus acciones giraran en torno a Naruto. Ahora bien, si "Caminar a tu lado." termina teniendo un significado romántico, estaré muy decepcionada. Eso significaría que Hinata aún no tendrá development.

 

(Aaand, when Sakura said that i thought she was refering to "Sasuke is not the person i thought he was, or at least not anymore", she is still fighting between "I don't trust him", "Can we trust him?", "I want to trust" and "Maybe there is still hope". If i were she i'd do it the same.)

Look. Just because an NS fan hates Hinata does not mean they hate her because of what they ship, and it's insulting that you would think so. People dislike her for reasons that don't have to do with NS (and yes, the same goes for NH fans who hate Sakura). A lot of people make fun of Hinata because of how Sakura is bashed.

Hinata stood up against Pein despite Naruto's request that everyone stay out of the fight, and she didn't even try to help Naruto. In fact, she made things worse, and if it hadn't been for Minato what was left of Konoha, and Naruto, would've been gone. She just confessed her feelings and charged at Pein while knowing she couldn't do a damn thing. Honestly, we don't know if she made the Twin Lion Fist herself but if she did cool for her. Sakura was far away when Neji died, she couldn't console Naruto like Hinata did. I didn't like Sakura focusing on how Sasuke didn't care about her either. But the difference between Hinata and Sakura is that Hinata seems to only care for Naruto. She doesn't acknowledge any thing outside him, not even Neji who helped train her and died to protect her. This fixation is not healthy. Sakura at least shows care for others.

For the record, I do think the Hinata bashing on here goes too far and it's annoying that people can't seem to not talk to her, and I do acknowledge her development (although she was a far better character in Part One; now she's only a satellite character), but you're being unfair by accusing people of disliking Hinata solely because she likes the character they want to see with someone else.

But I do think we should stop discussing her, lest this thread be closed.
