I think that Kaguya's sole purpose was to kill too overpowered madara plus to intoduce homura and otsusukis for the last retcon!

 

also for that, Kaguya's creation was the purpose to give a hyuuga background for the asspulled movie thanks to Hamura too. The production of the THE LAST started in january 2014 and the infamous interview where he stated about that stuff on Madara was in december 2013.

Honestly! I would have been fine with either Madara or Obito as the final villain, but Kaguya was just a no go. I doubt that anyone was able to like her after only 15 chapters or so. At least with the other two villains we got some back story and personality.

Isn't it interesting (and depressing) to see that basically a third of the manga is utter trash? What the hell happened really there? Had Kishimoto no ideas? Did someone tell him that 'a war would be cool'? I don't want to know, if i'm honest with myself...

It was always sage and then his sons that started the cycle of harted Nardo failed to end. Kaguya and Homura were just another retcon to end the manga and as a basis for the last.

Also the time hiretsu-kun decided to change heroines was around the time the chapter with alliance rushing to the battlefield came out. You know, the one with Nardo's hand talk.

O_O That idiot really said this?! He already spouted such unprofessional nonsense back then... I'm looking at the release date of the game, and it was about one and half yrs ago... Also the rating is extremly high. How well is the game received generally among the fans? So to think that this statement is not that old... He must have already envisioned the fight in the manga to be exactly the way it's been portrayed.

We'll see what Ultimate Storm 4 will be like (will you buy it?)...

 

Well the OVA seemed to be a good ending for me before 698 came out. I honestly believed that the ova was some kind of forshadowing. When 698 came out, I knew the ova was pure fanservice. But hey, 698 was awesome, and Kishi outdid himself one last time before he walked down the path of blasphemy and stupidity. I've never seen an author before who goes an up and down in terms of quality like a freaking jojo.

EDIT: I keep rewatching this PS3 fight, and all I can think of is: Trollmoto, why didn't you just do something similar to this?!

 

I know that maybe 85-90% of the fandom enjoyed Ultimate Ninja Storm 3, oh and by the way during the five kage summit arc right before Naruto and Sasuke's fight takes place, there is a fight between Sakura and Sasuke (it's not the same as the Naruto VS Sasuke boss fight. it's mainly just a normal gameplay fight in the story mode) and I thought it was pretty interesting.  I remember when the game first came out and I saw that fight and said to myself "Kishi you should've had Sakura fight Sasuke in the Five Kage Summit Arc, even if she lost at least she would've held her ground" 

 

I'm not entirely sure about getting Storm 4 yet, but based on the cover it looks like Naruto and Sasuke's final fight will take place at the Valley of End like in the manga. I have faith that CS2 will outdo themselves with the fight just like they did with the five kage summit fight.  Now if we're going by that logic that means 699 and 700 will also be in the story mode too, and if that's case I'm probably not even gonna buy it. If someone ends up getting it for me then I'll probably just play the online mode and free battle as I don't wanna touch story mode for obvious reasons. I mean so far nothing has been confirmed as to how far the story mode goes, but we'll see.  Oh boy they are seriously going that far with The Last huh... well okay then. 

 

 

It's kinda hard to stop rewatching the fight in storm 3 because you know it was done better than how Kishi portrayed it in the manga. You know speaking of the fight in the manga, I forgot who but someone on youtube made a comment on a review for chapter 698 and they thought it would be cool if kishi adds extra pages to this fight in the final volume. Quite honestly I'm not so sure if it's going to go down that path, but it would be interesting. Though I'm not going to say anything about it till afterwards.

Even though Obito reveal as tobi was pretty... dumb and uncreative, I liked his character, I mean he was the coolest after all

I think he could have been handled better though, Kishi did a poor job out of him

Obito became a god and his character actualy tied in to Team 7 and what was happening to the ninja world. There really would have been nobody more fitting than him

The sad part is that war arc is actually 1/3 of manga so it's hard to let it bypass. That's something that can really kill your love for the series. If you include Kage Summit Arc, well that's a bit over I believe. That's why it upsets me greatly that the arc got a very disappointing ending (699) because this is a huge factor. This is 4 years in running and to end with this, it's almost insulting.

It's no wonder people start to think the first editor was Kishi's second half as in writing. He left once Sasuke's arc was dealt with it. Pain Arc was really good, though with some problems (bet if it was the old one, he would have Sakura gotten involved let alone Tsunade). So after that, things really change in a very bad way. Have it ended with a better outcome and reflects the past developments, I would say these last arcs are not bad since they have a purpose. Sadly, that was the case.

Kishimoto didn't even draw Kaguya on the cover of volume 71, and barely included her in the background of the cover of volume 70. Shows you how much he didn't care about her. She was just.. there.

 

Bringing up the subject of volumes, tbh Volume 71 was pretty good as whole. Yeah it had issues for story progression at least for Kaguya in that whole equation, but we had the death of Obito which was kinda impactful for Naruto (in way) and especially for Kakashi. Plus we also had the epic Team 7 combo attack on Kaguya and that was pretty insane. Each member of team 7 even had their moment to shine before the combo hit, but like you said I would've liked it a lot more had we've gotten that back story of her. I mean if it came to a rating stand point I'd give Volume 71 around say a 4/5 or a 8.5/10. 

 

Now as far as the final volumes goes it comes out on February 4th in japan. The cover will probably be out say mid january or around the end of january to be precise. If Kishi has some sense of dignity left Volume 72's cover will and should have Naruto and Sasuke it doesn't matter if they are handshaking, clashing, giving each other a hug, whatever. I'll be like okay so you do have a tiny sense of smartness in you, and if it's a pairing cover (which I wouldn't be surprised at this point) then I'll probably buy it just to burn it. Now if it's the former then my friend (knowing him he'll probably get it) I'll probably just rip out 699 and 700 from it and watch them shred.

 

Either way, I get some pleasure  out of it, and I might make a video of me doing so.

Can you give me that link to that Sasuke vs Sakura fight? A fight in which Sakura can hold her ground against Sasuke will always be a part of my imagination otherwise T_T The way Sakura was portrayed when she met Sasuke again during that arc just made me wanna punch Kishi tbh. Sakura has so much potential, so so much to prove others of what she is capable of. I believe that Sakura would have finally gained most of the readers' respect and tolerance if she had fought against Sasuke during the Five Kage Art. But Kishi messed it up! She cries again instead.

 

Lol, I would only get the game if the ending is altered. If they decided on including something from Ch.700 as the epilogue, that's an absolute no go, but that's just me. But I am pretty sure, the final fight will be awesome, maybe it'll be even better than the anime fight.

It would be nice to hear the final battle in the manga to be enriched with the the fight scene from the game, but I'm keeping my hopes low. I have more hopes for the anime though ^_^

It's really shocking when you think about just how long the war arc lasted. It just kept going and going and going and going and going.

we should not bash characters simply because they have faults. They are fictional characters, so all of their behaviors and OOC decisions are due by their puppetmaster, which has decided to completely ruin their journeys just for the sake of Hinata The Movie. I feel sorry for them, not bash them. Criticize just the author, who made a pile of nonsense retcons.

No matter what, I can't really hate Naruto, Sakura and all the characters ( the real ones that is, not what we saw in the last asspull and in the last 2 chapters).

 

Kishimoto and SP are the responsible ones for making the characters the way they are now, they should be the ones that people should really hate for destroying these characters for the sake of one characters that shouldn't have mattered in the first place.

 

Sure a part of me really hate Hinata but it's mainly because of Kishi, SP and her idiots fans because before, i didn't care much about her TBH. Maybe at some point I  will forget about my hate for Hinata as a character but I sure as hell won't forget what Kishimoto and SP did, that's for sure.
