Yeah very true. But on the other hand drag them out for too long and you'll get bored if them so..........................

That is the reason. I mean it has been fine but of course, nothing of game changing has happened yet, so it's like when. Though so long we don't have three way that lasts over 100 chapters. I don't even know how one can do that...It's sad for me to say it, but lately the chapters haven't been measuring up like it should for endgame arcs. In fact, it's beginning to look a lot like the final saga in Nardo. But on the other hand, the Big 500 is still looming..... Which could be the turning point of the war. Mashima usually does something big in the milestone chapters.
I'd guess that the reason why this arc has been so lackluster is because Mashima is trying to give the spotlight to other characters before we go into the 3-way showdown between END-Zeref-Acnologia.

This manga sucks tbh. I hate Erza and Jellal more than anything.

And even though I'm meh on Jellal's character (don't like him but don't particularly hate him either. Also he's still miles above Saucegay), it's always a treat to see him go all out on an opponent.
The family that couldn't be.

Do you know if we are on break next week?As much as I'm coming to dislike Erza as of lately, I must say that it's been a while I've become interested in upcoming chapters. Whoever this Eileen is, I am interested in her relationship with Erza. It also makes sense, I guess. We've had Lucy, Gray and Natsu's heritage known and revealed but not Erza's yet. So it's kind of a long time coming.
And even though I'm meh on Jellal's character (don't like him but don't particularly hate him either. Also he's still miles above Saucegay), it's always a treat to see him go all out on an opponent.

Did Erza just unlock the Emperors Haki or something? I've tried to justify Erza's power ups in the past but I found this chapter too much even for me, this felt like a MS level hax power to me. Still a fan of Erza but Hiro-sensie seriously pushing the level of disbelief even for me.
It wouldn't surprise me if we find out that Erza was the daughter of a former knight of the old army who was ruthless on the field but fell in love and settled in a small town in the middle of nowhere.

Ironically, it feels like this series lost all of it's magic to me. The story no longer has an cohesive sense of story telling. The pacing is all over the place, no dramatic sense, no sense of urgency because we know absolutely no character in this series will be killed, since Mashima is a coward that doesn't take risks. And oh-ho, seems Erza is related to a very important person~ what a surprise! I forgot no one is allowed to be a normal person without a spetacular background. I can't believe it has come to this, but Mashima, you're not too far from Kishimoto level at this pace...

The Tartaros arc was the series at its best (minus Erza). From the storytelling, pacing and dramatic moments. Ever since then, the series has been gradually falling in quality since Zeref and Acnologia's meeting. I'm trying to give the series until it reaches the Big 500, but lately Mashima has been pushing my patience. Why I'm giving him that much time is because Mashima tends to do something big with the milestone chapters. And we have about 20 chapters to go....

No I'd have to have to say he's mary sue-ing her. As usual. Not that I hate Erza at all, (she's one of my favourites) but all of this in comprehesible handwaving with her victories really kills my interest in her fights sometimes really. Nah nothing to do emperor's haki, that has WAY More sense than this
