Yeah no joke, I remember during around chapter 680 I had some comments on my review between a couple people how this final fight is kinda lackluster, and some were like guys the final fight is gonna be between Naruto and Sasuke get that through your thick skull. Here I was in the background like "That's just obvious 101 when it comes to Naruto and Sasuke because everyone would be let down then" plus Sasuke was dropping like the most obvious hints during the war, and I'm genuinely shocked that no one caught on to it. Plus it was getting on my nerves that people started dropping the idea of Naruto and Sasuke's final battle because like you said it is one of the most important expectation for the manga.  

 

 

Yeah I remember when 694 came out my intial thoughts were this fight has got to last 2 volumes at max to be executed properly. Then the five weeks of Naruto Ending came out and I was like "Are you kittening kidding me, the fight's just about to take place, and now you drop the announcement." Granted had this announcement been dropped maybe near the ending of the fight like Chapter 715 (if it had a chance to even get that far) and we had 5 chapters left afterwards I'd be like okay that's more than enough to wrap up almost everything. Plus for what you, me and many other people were expecting when it came to this fight Kishi failed to deliver. 

 

Plus I said this earlier and I'll say it again the final battle between Naruto and Sasuke should've took place during The Five Kage Summit.

Note: Just watch up to 5:40 because everything after that is how the manga goes, ignore the gameplay and focus on the cinematics, and let me know what you think. 

Wow. That PS3 fight was awesome. This is what I wanted to see in the final fight. No Susanoo and Kyuubi Mode upgrade BS, just straightout hand-to-hand combat. It was literally so good that I watched it twice! The music, the feels, and the partial scenes from Part 1 just made it perfect. I even watched it beyond 5:40 a little bit to listen to their conversation. That PS3 game is x1000 better than the Manga fight, no doubt. Kishi failed if even a game can do better than him. Lol, I never knew about this b/c I don't buy the games (I suck at video games).

Now, I don't know whether or not the final fight b/w them should have been during the five kage summit. If the war had never existed in the first place, then yes, this would have been the best place to execute this fight (A lot of people actually assumed the final fight would happen here.) But since we have the war, I feel very conflicted about the placement of the Naruto vs Sasuke fight. I believe that the NarutovsSasuke just needed to be saved up for the last final battle for so many reasons, one of them to diminish the disappointment the Kaguya fight created and to give his fans an incentive to follow the manga until the end. But I would have loved to see this PS3 fight happening in the manga. The Ova from 2011 would have made a great final ending to the fight in my eyes- if the IT had never happened, of course. Yes, it would be an open one, but still a thousand times better than this sh*tty ending we got in the manga.

Doubtful. The creator's information says that he's from Cyprus. The discussion you're referring to would involve Japanese fans creating the petition.

I've seen bits and pieces of that confession and it's equally as sh*tty. This movie isn't about Naruto at all. It's just Hinata, Hinata, Hinata. "Hinata-sama must get everything, be waited on hand and foot, pitied, turned a Mary Sue, all that jazz because she's Hinata and she deserves it." 

 

There's a reason why I never shipped NH: it was never about Naruto. Only Hinata had a foothold in this. It goes against everything that is Naruto and to see these animators try and force this NH love story down our throats in such badly-written fashion just confirms it more and more.

 

If I truly sensed mutual love in NaruHina, then I would've shipped them and NS. I could see both sides happy in both relationships. Hell, I'd probably like this movie because Naruto would be happy and I could believe it. But the execution is just so poor, all I'm seeing instead is Naruto having to change and be forced into a relationship that he was never meant to be in. Real Naruto would not be happy with this. There was never any indication he liked Hinata until this movie and the thing only those are proving is that this was never meant to happen to him.

 

This isn't the Naruto I knew in this series. He must've died somewhere between 699 and 700. I'll go to fanfiction, where the real Naruto still exists.

Yup, Naruto died in 698. He fell asleep and had amnesia afterwards after all the blood lost. The way he is acting is so incongrous to what I know him of. So when does he fall in love with her? After only 80 min? The kitten?!

Using Sakura in his genjutsu to validate that NaruSaku is dead b/c Sakura loves Sasuke and acts as Naruto's love mentor -.-

Confession scene fails b/c of all the cliches: Background scene overly crowded with fireflies (surprised they didn't bumped into Naruto and Hinata); Naruto accidentaly confessing to Hinata first (so cliche, really); Toneri, the villain coming out of no where to disturb the romantic scene (so stupid); Hinata giving him the so-called typical ice- cold stare (you fail baby, Sakura would be a x1000 times better in giving these type of "bye bye" stares"); and etc. etc.

SP had one chance. One chance to make this zero developed pairing a little bit believable, but they went in the opposite direction. They deserved an award for this type of blasphemy, honestly.

I still don't understand... did Sasuke find Sakura hot? Why did he choose to be with her? SS was one of the most one sided unrequited loves in all of anime--even Sasuke himself mocked the idea of Sakura's "fantasy of true love". So why the hell did he fulfill it?
SS was never explained from Sasuke's side. What a sh*tty romance.

Yeah This fight is actually one of the few reasons why I didn't sell my copy of Storm 3 because I can go back and re-experience what i enjoyed. The fact that it was the classic part 1 hand to hand combat with basic jutsu was what always drives me to play this game again, and it's crazy because I was probably watching it about 3 or 4 times after I shared it. Even when this game came out I was like if things go down this way in the manga then clearly Kishi knows what he's doing. Of course he managed to prove me wrong about that. 

 

When it comes to the manga part of me just feels Tobi shouldn't have declared war and had a head on fight with Kakashi at the summit and maybe Sakura backing him up to. Wishful thinking yes, but it would've made things a lot more interesting with the manga, but oh well a guy could dream I guess. Yeah had the manga went out OVA style, which I was assuming during the five chapter countdown, then I'd be like it's a good ending however there were things that could've been improved upon. It's been said a million times, but 698 is truly the ending to the real team 7 and everything else that happened throughout the manga.

 

 

Your gonna get a kick out of this, but when Storm 3 first came out last year, Kishi said this "The author shouldn’t be saying this, but this is more exciting than the manga!" 

 

At first I thought he was joking, but now that I'm thinking about it after the sh*tty ending we got to the manga I'm just thinking to myself like could he have been serious when he said that?
