Just saw this quote about Studio Pierrot and that NS fans shouldn't be surprised because they are:

• The same studio that made a public statement that she is their favorite character,
• The same studio that did Sakura no justice neither with her appearance nor her main moments (aka the release of her seal) but take their whole budget to make Hinata’s moments seem much more important that they actually are.
• The same studio that openly said to Kishi, that Hinata fits as a heroine more than Sakura in an interview.
• The same studio that wanted to include too much Hinata fanservice in “Road to ninja” but couldn’t thanks to Kishimoto interfering.
• The same studio that turned Neji’s sacrifise and the chakra transfer moment into something “romantic” and added it to the calendar.

 

Stuff we all know already, but nevertheless hurtful to see it summarized like this in here.

I would also add the time where Kishi's assistant said in an interview that Sakura was for Sasuke's use

I'm pretty sure they won't let angry fans ask him questions. They will probably thank him and the studio for the amazing piece of fanfiction they created and blah blah

Unfortunately, the score is climbing back up at a very gradual pace. Whoever claimed that the final score would remain grounded in the 2.80s may have been right. I think this will be the lowest it gets. 

I don't mind. Seems right in terms of the overall. Yes, it should be lowered, but you know, you can't really garnered the lowest of the low. It's like wishing Twilight to get a 1 but there's always a fan out there that likes it. So to me, I'm happy that it's the lowest rated movie yet, being seen as a mistake, and it's all hype but no deliver.

I'm pretty sure they'll have a pre-approved set of questions by people from the studio to make it seem like people support his ending. Probably screen people and questions or something.

Against my better judgment, I watched the NH genjutsu in The Last.

 

That was just kittening awful. That was the textbook dictionary example for a guilt trip. I can't believe NH fans are okay with this. These writers treated Naruto as if was a terrible, heartless person for never returning Hinata's feelings. Hell, they even had genjutsu Sakura call him idiot for not noticing her just because he was blinded by Sakura. That's ... wow. It's like some of the worst NH fanfic writers wrote this film. Naruto was NEVER obligated to return her feelings. Perhaps you could say he could be less ignorant of them, but to go as far as to spell "Naruto, fall in love with Hinata or else you're a total a**hole?" Do have any respect for the main character at all?

 

Retcons can say whatever the hell they want, but we know the truth. Naruto was aware of Hinata's feelings after the confession and did feel bad, but was already in love with Sakura and didn't want to give up on her. Naruto shouldn't get thrown under a damn bus just for not reciprocating Hinata's feelings. This is seriously what so many NH fans has said: "Hinata deserves Naruto and if he doesn't love her, then he's a jackass."

 

This movie wasn't Naruto's love story, Kishimoto. This was Hinata's. Thanks for helping destroy every bit of Naruto's true character and make him feel obligated to love this fangirl. 'Cause obviously, it is totally his fault for whatever Hinata feels and screw his own, right? Another great message to send to the "nice" girls/"nice" guys, ain't it?

 

I'm trying to laugh at this, but I can't. This is just too disgusting, especially for me who had Naruto as my favorite character. They're treating him like kitten and turning him into a trophy for Hinata-sama's wishes without any personality of his own. How the hell did Kishi approve this, he is spitting all over his own MC ...

You know what is the funniest thing about this fight? The way fans viewed this fight.

So many people were convinced that there would never be a final Naruto vs Sasuke fight. They believed that the Kaguya fight really was the final one. I was literally arguing with other fans about how there will definitely 100% a Naruto vs Sasuke fight. Too many hints in the manga from Sasuke's side and even Kishi himself confirmed it! And Part 2 would not make any sense if the final fight had not ended up with Naruto vs Sasuke. But apparently Kishi messed up the writing so bad, that people gave up that idea that there would ever be a fight b/w Naruto and Sasuke. Fans gave up holding onto one of the most important expectations of this manga.

What made me even more sad was that many people said that once the fight started they were fed up with it already. Sure, the fight was not amazing, but so many fans wished that the fight would be already over b/c Kishi had just announced that the manga would end in 5 weeks. They were afraid more about how everything ties up in five chapters than how the final fight everyone has been waiting for for nine yrs or so would be executed (both things turn out to be  rushed unfortunately). It is just so sad how Kishi himself degraded the importance of this fight.

 

 

Yeah no joke, I remember during around chapter 680 I had some comments on my review between a couple people how this final fight is kinda lackluster, and some were like guys the final fight is gonna be between Naruto and Sasuke get that through your thick skull. Here I was in the background like "That's just obvious 101 when it comes to Naruto and Sasuke because everyone would be let down then" plus Sasuke was dropping like the most obvious hints during the war, and I'm genuinely shocked that no one caught on to it. Plus it was getting on my nerves that people started dropping the idea of Naruto and Sasuke's final battle because like you said it is one of the most important expectation for the manga.  

 

 

Yeah I remember when 694 came out my intial thoughts were this fight has got to last 2 volumes at max to be executed properly. Then the five weeks of Naruto Ending came out and I was like "Are you kittening kidding me, the fight's just about to take place, and now you drop the announcement." Granted had this announcement been dropped maybe near the ending of the fight like Chapter 715 (if it had a chance to even get that far) and we had 5 chapters left afterwards I'd be like okay that's more than enough to wrap up almost everything. Plus for what you, me and many other people were expecting when it came to this fight Kishi failed to deliver. 

 

Plus I said this earlier and I'll say it again the final battle between Naruto and Sasuke should've took place during The Five Kage Summit.

CS2 also did a great job with the ending to UNS3 since it REALLY was a better ending that we got.

I can't even reread any of the chapters despite the fact that I favor NS. I love looking at the fanarts and know they were made with love but  it doesn't feel the same when I think of the manga. Kishimoto's commentaries are so thoughtless to the fans outside of nh and ss and SP poisonous pitied love for Hinata while destroying Naruto that I feel wrong going back to read it.

I can't go back.

There's a reason why I never shipped NH: it was never about Naruto. Only Hinata had a foothold in this. It goes against everything that is Naruto and to see these animators try and force this NH love story down our throats in such badly-written fashion just confirms it more and more.

 

If I truly sensed mutual love in NaruHina, then I would've shipped them and NS. I could see both sides happy in both relationships. Hell, I'd probably like this movie because Naruto would be happy and I could believe it. But the execution is just so poor, all I'm seeing instead is Naruto having to change and be forced into a relationship that he was never meant to be in. Real Naruto would not be happy with this. There was never any indication he liked Hinata until this movie and the thing only those are proving is that this was never meant to happen to him.

 

This isn't the Naruto I knew in this series. He must've died somewhere between 699 and 700. I'll go to fanfiction, where the real Naruto still exists.
