You know, I don't think Naruto will confess to Sakura, until he flat out rejects Hinata. Even if you say, he thanked her at 615, Hinata still believes she has a chance with him, so he will have to let her know that they have no chance at happening.

 

In terms of Sakura and Sauke, well I just think were gonna get a panel of Sasuke maybe thanking Sakura for all her help and just acknowledging her as a ninja, while Sakura is completely shocked by his words.

 

This will happen in the same chapter, than the following chapter, will be NS confession.

 

But, then again, Kishi could just skip Naruto confronting Hinata and have him confess to Sakura. He later announces to the entire alliance that Sakura is his girlfriend and Hinata finally realizes she has no chance with him. After all, Kishi has been skipping or brushing over many plot points as of late. However, Sasuke acknowledging Sakura must be done, for her character and for NS.

This what they say

Note: Naruto uses 頑張ってた [ganbatteta] which means to do your best/to work hard. He also uses そこそこ [sokosoko] which is a somewhat odd way to phrase the sentence; it means reasonably/fairly well/or so/about depending on context. Yes, that is why context exists. ;)

The word “great” is not used, so I’m not sure why MP translated it that way.  Kushina’s original words do say for Naruto to try and find a girl “like her”, and so this pretty much mimics that.  

My take is that the statement is a bit vague, but again that is why context exists to help guide the reader.  It seems like Naruto is actually trying to change the subject when he says それは…　[Sore wa…] えっと…　[etto…] とにかく [tonikaku!]. Kind of like “Yeah, about that… ANYWAY!” He then goes on to say how not everything is going the way mom said.  This line is delivered right after the woman statement. XD 

We can safely say that one of the things not going as planned is Naruto finding a woman like her, especially because he did not expand on it like he did with the rest.  It doesn’t mean Naruto hasn’t found a woman in general, because he is talking about Kushina’s words specifically.  The correct and logical way of looking at it is “Naruto has not found a woman like Kushina”. 

Regarding NaruSaku and their twisted mindset:  Sakura has been paralleled to Kushina, right? So this means that Naruto is acknowledging Sakura is NOT his girlfriend, because she (nor anyone else) is not referenced.  That also validates the argument even more that Naruto was playing around/joking in chapter 631.  Thetruth came out here, and he did not say that Sakura is his girlfriend (and the woman like his mom that he found). In my opinion, if Naruto was so in love with Sakura, she would have been referenced in some way; he was never shy about his feelings in the past.  She wasn’t brought up at all.

@DarkRadeon hopefully one of our translators will come themselves and refute that post, but for now I recommend reading ramenanmitsu's latest post on the chapter thread.
Well, I'll add a few things. When Naruto said things weren't going well he was talking about in general, not just the girl part. And when the situation is serious Naruto isn't super open about his feelings; when Sai asked if he liked Sakura he was stunned and blushing, and told him he can't confess because he hasn't kept his promises. And really, that wasn't the time or place to bring up Sakura because, though he did find a girl like his mother, she's not his girlfriend yet and there are still some obstacles in the way (like whatever she may feel for Sasuke, in Naruto's mind). Plus, it would just be out of place in that scene imo. It was a goodbye scene between father and son and if he had referenced Sakura there would have to be a significant reaction shot from her (she was watching, after all), taking away from the farewell scene. And that would be like saying straight out that NS will be canon. I want their canonisation to happen between them, so I'm happy that Sakura's name wasn't directly mentioned (also because it would have taken away from Mina-Naru's goodbye scene, not that everyone focusing on that one shippy comment hasn't already sigh).

NS hasn't been adding any words in the translation?? wth. And from what I can tell there's no "acknowledgement that not everything Kushina told him will happen," only that things aren't turning out so smoothly, which they aren't. Besides, that implies he's given up, and as ramenanmitsu explained in the chapter thread, there are no such implications in the raw.

Me too! It's about time, Sakura has already hugged him twice. Maybe the next time Naruto does an affectionate gesture toward her it will be the forehead kiss. :>

Heh, @Baka chan, a while ago I heard Halo on the radio and I thought it was so NS -- specifically, Sakura's POV.
@Romancegirl, I also had in mind "Unconditionally" from Sakura (and Naruto's, actually)'s POV and "Your Guardian Angel" from Naruto's POV. Ah, the latter fits them so much. Here's two that I can think of right now: "Promise of a Lifetime" (this song was like made for them...) by Kutless, Sakura's POV and "Pieces" by Red, Nar's POV.

I think mine would be "One in a million" by Ne-Yo or "silver lining" by hurts.

And maybe "Miss Independent" and "She doesn't mind".

I read the lyrics to Silver Lining and ah, theyre beautiful. It really does fit them, both from nar to sakura and vice versa in some cases. I'll listen to it when I get the chance.

For anyone that is well versed in the English language, do you agree with the following?

If the meaning of the conjunction "even though" means "despite the fact that", then that means that it's always meant to be used for opposition/contradiction of something. So by that knowledge if Kakashi wanted to say that Sakura's feelings got stronger how do you render the translation "even though you still like him/it's the same love, that feeling is something different" (which most of the people from the SS/NH side translated as) as him saying that her feelings have matured (loving him on a totally different level) rather than faded (lingering feelings)? "that feeling is something different" must be in opposition/contraction of the fact that she still likes him/it's the same love, so how can you even render that as matured feelings if it wouldn't be in opposition/contradiction of that fact?

SS: After a hugeeee fall...the only possibility of SS happening will be if Sasuke already is in love with her (i dun think there is any possibility)

NaruSaku's fate depends on what Naruto does when he gets Hinata out of IT.If he doesnt acknowledge her OR just smiles and walks away its the end for them IMO
