The English VA is into sasusaku, but she might be more into Yuri lownethal lol, but in one panel she did a fake scene expressing feeling for sasuke, then she asked the audience if they wanted to see one in shippuden version and she shut sasuke down. It sucks that we can't ask for any fake scenes between the Naruto VA and Saskura VA cause their both female, it would be weird and I doubt they would want to do it.

YES in a japensses school girl outfit she would look good, along with a Kimono. Their should be some sort of dance or festival in the village and Naruto should have to ask Sakura to go, I wouldn't care if it was filler, but I'm sure they'd find some way to screw Naruto over.....speaking of dance

It is not exactly the same translation from Volume 3 btw in fact I like Ciardha's better as Viz doesn't include this bit

Just found it (at the end of chapter 24) and not only did they leave stuff out (the whole personality description as you said) even though they leave in a reference to the personality description, but they give what he wrote a whole different vibe. Like having a "heh heh" rather than what he said, that at the time it devastated him when his assistants said she wasn't cute.) That bugs me because it plays into other things they've altered Kishimoto has written or even drawn...

Hmm so it wasn't a complete waste of time. Maybe I will tackle that second paragraph too- things might have been left out there too. It's midnight now though and I have to work in the morning so it will have to wait.

sakura's voice actor seemed ticked at Yuri (sasuke's voice actor) and got back at him XD....

Ciardha, there is a definite difference in the tone of your translation vs. the manga one. When you get time, I'd love to what shakes out of the second paragraph!

Yea it seemed personal, but then again they are actors so I think they just sold it well. It was nice for Sakura to stand up herself, but she could have mentioned Naruto. That would blown the room off. Funny part the lady next Yuri is his actual wife, that must have been weird. I would love to see one with Naruto's VA and Sakura's VA, but that would just be weird cause their both female. Don't get me wrong I'd still want to see that but it's unlikely they will want to do it.

OH GOD! those things upset me for some reason Not that it shakes my faith in NaruSaku just annoys the heck out off me when NaruHina or SasuSaku are mentioned. again nothing personal against those pairings it just won't work in my opinion and you'd have to unnaturally convincing to change my mind Kishimoto is clearly going with Naruto and Sakura here and also if Kate Higgins wanted to quit at the first hint of NaruSaku she would have stopped at the start of Shippuden unless she did not see it as valid proof so we'll have her for a while

Everyone's going to have their preferences on pairings, but at the end of the day, Kate Higgins and her colleagues are professional voice actors, so they are not so immature that they would quit a show just because two characters they would like to get together didn't. A lot of the time, they keep track of the story throught the manga, so they know what's coming up as each episode comes along.

I didn't watch the Youtube video, I always get creeped out when I see the person behind the voice. I'm still traumatized after seeing Maile Flanagan (Naruto's English VA) on the American version of The Office.

Wait what? Maile Flanagan isn't the lady from the office, although now that you mention it they do look a like. I too get creeped out and don't like the fact that Naruto's VA has to look like that, but whatever. But obviously it doesn't matter what she looks like. From what I remember when I only watched the English dubs (I gave up during that horrible marathon of Part 1 fillers), she does the voice well. Not as good as Junko (Naruto's Japanese VA) IMO, but pretty good for a dub anyway.

Yea it's my 100th post!!!

I feel obligated to reflect(rant) on these past 100 posts and my time here.

Starting with episode one of Naruto I have always wanted Naruto and Sakura to end up together, but as the series really didn't revolve around any serious romance, I wasn't to serious about it either. I really got back into Narusaku during shippuden, the episode was when Sakura tried to help Naruto in the four tails and Yamato gave the speech. Although this is true what made me passionate about Narusaku was the episode when Sakura brings Naruto food pills with notes and Naruto is shown sleeping with the notes near his heart. That's when the candle inside me got lit, I looked up everything about Narusaku and Naruto in general. I had so much to say and nowhere to say it. I was part of another board/forum but they didn't want to hear any Naruto let alone any Narusaku talk. So I searched and found this lovely site.

It felt so great to come to this site and just vent. I let out everything on my mind regarding Narusaku. It felt so good to voice my opinion, bring up my concerns which kept me up at night, and to ask questions. I was a little skeptical about how I would be treated. Let me tell you that all that skepticism was instantly put to rest. Everyone here is great and welcoming almost like a family. We all want the same thing so it felt so good. All my questions and concerns were put to rest.

100 posts later I must say I am 100x more confident that Narusaku will be our dream come true. The ride has been great and hopefully will continue so we can enjoy this journey together. Long live NARUSAKU!

Thanks and it's fine, I enjoyed the mental exercise of it. I'll tackle the second paragraph maybe tonight.

My process- do an exact literal translation (which will be very ungramatical in English) then fix it to read clearly.

And guys, be a little easier on Maile Flanagan (or any VA for that matter). She's only doing her job, her appearance shouldn't be an issue here (not that I understand why people keep going on about it in the first place )
