So H&E folks, today the extended cut for mass effect 3 was released, and for good or ill, I'll post them here:
I have... mixed feelings about extended cut, while the endings no doubt are massively improved compared to the original crap that we got, is not truly fitting for such an epic saga such as mass effect. In short I'm happy that we got an conclusive ending wich shows that playing as a good character was worth the trouble. Though I have to say that I was very disapointed to see that there was no crew/love interest reunion with Shepard in the destroy ending, wich would be easy to make if you ask me, it's just an minute cutscene, c'mon Bioware.. oh well.
@refusal ending: that was bioware's last F♥CK-YOU to us, alex. sad but true. It's hilarious tho; them making the choice that rings truest to Shep's characterization as the IMMEDIATE BAD END only confirms that we were right in complaining of the OOC moments in our CO on the Citadel.
ugh they're such babbies
I dunno, I won't be able to get the Extended DLC until later because I'll be busy, but after playing through the game, I didn't think the endings were that bad as most people made it out to be.
the endings (which were basically the same [not so much Red] considering) violated the ME universe's established lore and narrative boundaries like my finger violating a dead person's nose at their own funeral.
the controversy was justifiable outrage from a game triology's (that each fan dedicated 5 plus years into) abrupt horrific and arbitrary about-face that, also in turn, shat upon a potential satisfying end that the series (and shep) deserved. And to make matters worse, the party at fault claimed no responsibility to what they did and instead placed blame upon the apparent limitations of the audience itself - it's not right.
suffice it to say: THROW IT OUT THE AIRLOCK
See, the extended cut actually wraps up the game for me.
The Control Ending IMHO is the best one. Because they get to rebuild with Shepard watching over them.
hey patti watti bang bang, thanks for donating your Reaper King Catalyst for ME4! can't wait to see what color Cmdr Yahgpard chooses!
altho, control kind of has countless opportunities to troll the ever living hell out of the Shepard-Reaper galaxy! i'm conflicted!
I guess wich one was better depends on opinion. I still like destroy better, and see how the galaxy manage prosper without the reapers is really inspiring. And seeing all those reapers falling down, it was awesome. I still regret the loss of the geth tough.
i know we've had our differences, but I gotta give credit where it's due - good man, excellent job finishing the mission.
and yeah feels bad bout the geth (and EDI for that matter), but they were prepared for it.
on the otherhand, outside the game? bioware completely exploited the "red" hue that Destroy was; direct collateral-damage where blue and green had none.
what's sadfunny? at the beginning, when describing the endings, i completely threw off the color-coding. I thought red was Control and blue was Destroy - you play Reaper King with total control, and you finish the fight like the Commander you are (and have been for 3 games) with destroy. my misinterpretation seems more accurate imo
....Man, you relish in the sudden case of game designers now out of work. Jeez.

idk i agree with alex. if devs aren't doing their job, they deserve no $$$. I think bioware should eat it personally. does that make me cruel for not crying a thousand tears for those who lose their jobs unfairly? pfft no. it makes me a consumer concerned with the quality of their product.
it's just business.

in other news, did anyone get their reply-email from The Dotconnexion Team? I got left out of the CC mass reply (kinda sad about that lmao)
if anyone was included in the CC with the other WDs, lemme know pls. idk what's happening.

also I can't find anything in Mr. Demarco's memorial pic:
