Seeing how much I hated them for ruining the Prototype series for me, they got it coming, and the most amusing of all is that their shut down was caused by nothing else but Prototype 2 being an complete commercial failure.

....Man, you relish in the sudden case of game designers now out of work. Jeez.

@refusal ending: that was bioware's last F♥CK-YOU to us, alex. sad but true. It's hilarious tho; them making the choice that rings truest to Shep's characterization as the IMMEDIATE BAD END only confirms that we were right in complaining of the OOC moments in our CO on the Citadel.
ugh they're such babbies
the endings (which were basically the same [not so much Red] considering) violated the ME universe's established lore and narrative boundaries like my finger violating a dead person's nose at their own funeral.
the controversy was justifiable outrage from a game triology's (that each fan dedicated 5 plus years into) abrupt horrific and arbitrary about-face that, also in turn, shat upon a potential satisfying end that the series (and shep) deserved. And to make matters worse, the party at fault claimed no responsibility to what they did and instead placed blame upon the apparent limitations of the audience itself - it's not right.
suffice it to say: THROW IT OUT THE AIRLOCK
The Control Ending IMHO is the best one. Because they get to rebuild with Shepard watching over them.
hey patti watti bang bang, thanks for donating your Reaper King Catalyst for ME4! can't wait to see what color Cmdr Yahgpard chooses!

altho, control kind of has countless opportunities to troll the ever living hell out of the Shepard-Reaper galaxy! i'm conflicted!
i know we've had our differences, but I gotta give credit where it's due - good man, excellent job finishing the mission.
and yeah feels bad bout the geth (and EDI for that matter), but they were prepared for it.
on the otherhand, outside the game? bioware completely exploited the "red" hue that Destroy was; direct collateral-damage where blue and green had none.
what's sadfunny? at the beginning, when describing the endings, i completely threw off the color-coding. I thought red was Control and blue was Destroy - you play Reaper King with total control, and you finish the fight like the Commander you are (and have been for 3 games) with destroy. my misinterpretation seems more accurate imo
idk i agree with alex. if devs aren't doing their job, they deserve no $$$. I think bioware should eat it personally. does that make me cruel for not crying a thousand tears for those who lose their jobs unfairly? pfft no. it makes me a consumer concerned with the quality of their product.
it's just business.

in other news, did anyone get their reply-email from The Dotconnexion Team? I got left out of the CC mass reply (kinda sad about that lmao)
if anyone was included in the CC with the other WDs, lemme know pls. idk what's happening.
also I can't find anything in Mr. Demarco's memorial pic:

I didn't feel like I was bereft of an enjoyable experience from beginning to end; the only thing I can detract from the series is some annoying graphics glitches, like Shepard's head turning to the left while talking, as if he's seeing something interesting on the wall...or how Traynor seems to bend her head all the way around when I talked to her. Kinda creepy and painful to see.

lol, no offense but if those are your gripes with ME3 you're kind of the audience bioware (read: lead directors) stated that they wanted, thus pandered to.
in every ME game there are bugs and glitches, and those are pretty much status-quo (although the Liara chat was goddamn embarrassing; that glitch was the whole friggin convo, glaringly obvious - bioware really didn't give a kitten)
anyway a quick pros/cons list for ME3:
cons -
bad writing
plot-holes
stale melodrama
majority of the crew from ME2 (the crew was heavily emphasized as a huge part of Shep's strength) were gone and/or had 5 minute cameos
asset system is useless (and makes MP mandatory)
character assassinations (e.g., Legion; Edi; Ashley; Thane [as an LI]; etc)
day 01 dlc
one hubworld
no exploration i.e., side-quests are turned into justification for keeping planet scanning and/or combat sims
game modes
ign allers
contrived deus ex machina i.e., choices don't matter
final cinematic/confrontation
drastic shift of the theme (i.e., the focus turns from the galaxy and it's multitude of diverse species to EARTH NUMBA ONE)
"we want the call of duty audience"
"ME3 is a great place to start"
"buy more DLC!"
dat nonsensical lore-mutilating ending
..etc.
pros -
Tuchanka Arc; Grissom (if for Jack)
battle system (if only it was improved slightly, otherwise it was dumbed down i.e., insanity was cake) / weapons and modification system
it's prettier
VAs (voicework has always been good, so don't treat this as something substantial here)
husbandos/waifus aka "feels"
Anderson's goodbye (again voicework here, but I feel like Bioware deserves some praise - although i wish they hadn't cut the "mother/father" part jfc)
regardless, take my (and many others) criticism as you will. I won't judge you for enjoying a video game for being a video game (however poor it was). however, I personally expected more from bioware for this game. It's the end of a trilogy, not a stand-alone game.
@ps2: pirate ME on pc if you're feeling the need. the characters are kind of walking codex entries, but it's a solid experience.

I think one of my greatest grips with the game was the crucible plot device. I aways thought that the whole point of the series was uniting the galaxy to make an enough posing force once the reapers showed up, but nein, let's just use an doomsday weapon instead. I think an more interesting idea, would be to use EMS system as an sucess an casuality metter for the final battle. The higher it is, the least casualities and highest the sucess would be. But instead, the EMS system is just there to define how many endings you can unlock or screwed earth gets once the crucible fires.
Mass effect 2 squadies were really reduced to cameos, but my greastest issue was with Jack and Miranda, they are romances. They needed to show up more. Tough, I think they nailed Grunt and Mordin appearance perfectly.
In general I tought the game was good enough, I didn't mind the auto dialogue as much as some other people, I tought it was mostly well writen.
So, my general complaints were:
Legion death, it felt forced and unecessary.
Lack luster final mission, the counduit run and suicide mission were much better in this aspect.
No final confrontation with Harbinger, just an beam spam. I wish he was the final boss in a similar fashion to the Rannoch reaper.
The catalyst appearance, the brat shouldn't have showed up in first place, it's just an very cheap deus ex.
Lack of resolution for Shepard in the destroy ending, they should have explored that more.

Whee! Evo2012 stream!
Also...more ME3? Man, let it go. I just posted stuff about it because I finally got to play and finish it and didn't have a lot of problems with it. Jeez.
It's just like my old hatred of the HarryxGinny pairing, I still giggle whenever I remember the times it made me all "OMFG I hate that pairing! GRR HULK SMASH!" Oh, fandoms.....
