I like Hinata, but I think her character was better and more relatable in part one. Almost no development at all in part two, 615 comes the closest.

It's true, part two Hinata is all about Naruto. Part one Hinata was more about becoming stronger and her situation with her family, as well as her relationship with cousin Neji.

 

One thing I really liked about part one was development various characters got.

Also, I just thought about something... how come Sakura has very little screentime in the trailers ? I mean, she's still the heroine of the manga and we only see her scream "Naruto !" and hold Hinata's shoulders. However, a lot of drawings of her from SP have been released, so we can deduce she has a fairly decent amount of screen time, right ?
So, what if, JUST what if, SP can not release any movie part in which Sakura is involved because it would reveal how close she is to Naruto and it would spoil the whole Hinata romantic thing ? After all, if Hinata has a big role in this movie, and if Sakura, with her generous heart is encouraging her to talk to Naruto, then maybe Hinata will ask Naruto for his answer, and it will be negative ?
It's just theory, but I thought it was strange not to see much of Sakura (because maybe she's too involved with Naruto ?).

No they started liking her out of dislike for Sakura, but it intensified due to empathy. Basically a pity character glorified through hyper-fanaticism. I should know. I was one. This was back when I didn't really care which side of the pairing wars I was apart of during the 2000s. They'd imagine Sakura as the worst of the worst,so ofcourse Hinata would be the exact opposite of that and would be the girl who gave Sakura her just desserts. That why the ridiculous boobs argument pops up. Sakura's the worst of the worst and Hinata is an angel, who even has big boobs to boot!  That's how their minds work. Just trying to make Hinata better by comparison. She's theirs to be compared to Sakura. They even hoped Sakura would fall for Naruto but he'd choose Hinata regardless just to spite her.

Sometimes, I wonder whether they'd worship Hinata, if Hinata instead of Sakura was in Team 7. Imagine how annoyed they'd actually be. I don't hate Hinata, but I think that her shyness and fangirling over Naruto would have looked just as bad as Sakura's crush over Sasuke in Team 7. Honestly, Sakura is in a stupid and complicated position since she keeps on trying to catch up with her two teammates who currently are some of the strongest ninjas in world. As much as Sakura tries, she will never be on the same level, but EVERYONE expects it from her to have this supernatural powerup. Unless you have female characters like Mikasa from AOT, Erza from Fairy Tail or Saber from Fate/ Stay Night (one of my favorite female character btw ^^), people, especially guys, have a hard time to recognize many main female characters.

And again: What would people think IF HINATA WAS IN TEAM 7?!

 

If Hinata was part of Team 7, she'd be hated more than Sakura is, In bleach Inoue is hated by allot of fans because they find her constant 'Kurusaki-Kun' and focus on the MC annoying like no mans business, even though as a useful charactor goes she has done much better than Hinata has done, her healing and shield abilty has saved their lives more than once.

 

Hinata would be a million times worst, specially once her fainting becomes old. Fans hate leads who are just focused on their feelings towards the lead, and need constantly saving. Hinata doesn't get that hate because Kishi has kept her involvment minor.

Exactly! It's b/c she's reduced to a minor character that she's allowed to shine in the few panels she gets.

I don't think she died. She won't be that old. I think she surpassed her.

 

I don't believe we're going to have a movie about Hinata and her feelings for Naruto and have her be successful in the end. It's just not going to happen. I just can't see that being a thing.

Same here. The movie won't be just about Hinata only and her feelings. It will be about everyone, mainly Naruto, with the romance part playing a major role this time like Kishi said and how some things are resolved in the manga since it was said that it will show the blank period of how some things got to be in the epilogue. But, she'll be successful in the way to lead her clan I think.

 

But Hinata's description involves Naruto.

Not surprised. Expected to see " Naruto " in the translation. That's all the important part of her character in the manga.

Well on the place of Hinata-fans i will be really disappointed with this Hinata-description, especially compared with other characters.

Its like if Sakura's description was "She is from Haruno's family and likes Sasuke". It sounds so poor and shame.

Yeah, shippuden really was a big let down when it comes to side character it was all about Naruto, senju  and Uchiha and the rest of the cast was left in the dust.
