Have to say its vastly improved from the last game. The whole presentation before, during, and after the game feels as if you are watching an actual televised game. I usually skipped the halftime stuff in previous games, but in this one I actually enjoy them and watch it throughout. Also the on field setup is a lot better with more audible options, player settings, and bluff plays. The players are also done better since when running I can fight for yards while still having 2-3 guys on my HB and my OL doesn't suddenly collapse and opens some big holes to go through. I love the Online co-op feature where you can battle it out against your friends all in the same game making for fun times. This Madden has definitely come a long way in terms of making the game as realistic as possible to the actual thing.
Couple of Iphone games.
Knights Onrush: 8/10
This game has freaking amazing graphics and the backgrounds are really well done; It feels like I'm playing on the GBA. Numerous types of enemies classes all with their own unique characteristics and plenty of different weapons for you to defend against them as they attack your castle. Especially love the Endless siege and madness modes which are really intense and having your fingers tapping insanely. I honestly can't keep this game down when playing it.
DOOM Resurrection: 10/10
Got an amazing deal of only $3 for an original $10 game so I had to buy it. This game really kicks back in the nostalgia except it amplifies it tenfold with the stunning graphics and environment on the screen. It's so thrilling with your arsenal of weapons, freaky looking alien/monster enemies, and the fantastic control scheme which makes for fast paced action. The six Mars themed levels are really well done and the Hell themed ones are simply insane with how much better it is compared to the PC counterpart (also the fact that you get a brand new chapter exclusive for this app) that this is definitely one of the best games available. Who would have thought a FPS could play so well on an Iphone? When Resident Evil 4 goes down in price or sale I'm easily going to get it as well.

In addition to what has already been said, Madden features fantastic animations and should have enough content to keep football fans playing through the whole season. The return of Madden Moments is welcomed, the new ratings do a good job of separating the elite from the average, and the addtion of online co-op and online franchise adds much to the replay value. However, I really dont appreciate the nickel & diming in this game. Dammit EA, Im not one of your haters, but this is a little ridiculous.

fixed your post

I loved the original but the main issue it had was horrible balancing issues. Thankfully this game totally fixes this since if you choose to be Chaos Space Marines (my favorite race) and fight against the regular Space Marines, you won't get outclassed if you wait to fully upgrade. Now with more and better units the game is damn well balanced and one race won't have an advantage over another. The campaign focuses on the Blood Ravens as usual since they don't get much fluff in the real story line and make it an interesting aspect of the Imperium of Man. It's fun and entertaining and each new mission brings great plot twists and interesting scenarios.
The designs are much better with new units and heroes and the combination of squads that you can create to fulfill your strategies are pretty damn numerous as you find ways to attack and counter. The graphics are fleshed out well so you can see great detail and your units don't seem scrunched when you pack them together as squads. I have to say Relic did a great job in creating this game and making it a good RTS that's on par with Command & Conquer, Rise of Nations, and Age of Empires and definitely a must play for Warhammer 40k fans.

It's a 7 simply because I'm not blown away by the game but if you compared it to what they tried so long ago called Erhgeiz the score would be a 10/10.
Story: I'm a fan of most of the square enix games stories, and it's no different here.
Gameplay: It's not very intuitive, so when you first start it, it feels awkward. The controls aren't consistent and while I'm a fan of the mid-air battling, it feels like you're a piece of cloth just constantly falling. -- The real bottom line is that if you're a fan of the gameplay in the DBZ Budokai games and one of the Naruto: Ultimate ninja series, you'll probably dig what happens here as the specials are the same way: depending on which character it's different how you execute them.
Graphics: It's nothing new from Square Enix. It's basically those of the Kingdom Hearts series. But I gotta say the detailed animated stuff is great, but that's nothing new either.
Overall nothing wowing about it, but if you're a fan of the series and the characters this is a pretty good pick up.

Overall: 5/5
The best Batman video game I've seen so far. The action is as advertised, free-flowing and quite easy to use. It's a bit slow because Arkham Asylum is big, and I tend to back track a lot. Lots of things to search for, and graphics are amazing. Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy as the Joker and Batman respectively are awesome. Though I wish I can use the Batmobile, it's not that big of a deal. 'Predator' gameplay is fun, especially seeing the thugs freak out as you whittle them down to nothing. You really feel like you ARE The Batman. The only drawback I can see is the fact that you move through all the areas of Arkham...a lot.

Giving a mortal man electrical superpowers? Win. It's like Assassin's Creed with super powers, which makes it awesome. The variety of powers plus the parkour gameplay is phenomenal. The difficulty takes a while to get used to, because the enemies are somewhat difficult when you start and by the time you get to the end, they become quite challenging. (After unlocking your powers, they're like cake)
Only gripe about this game is... every enemy can shoot from 1000 feet away and still hit you.

Cake, and defending your castle from invaders? Hella fun! The multiplayer is where it really shines, you can jump into matches easily and play to your hearts content. The game is hilarious, and will keep you amused easily.

This game basically brings Grand Theft Auto to the iphone. The environment is rich with various buildings, cars, and great landscape and you can interact with so much within the game that the possibilities are endless. You have all sorts of variety when it comes to weapons, cars, and music to construct to your tastes as you play the game and make your rise from small time thug to big name gangster that runs L.A. The game play is pretty damn awesome where you can do shoot outs against opposing gangs, do drive-bys in your low rider, and just cause havoc in the city for the hell of it.
The missions are pretty entertaining and take you throughout the city so you have plenty of chance to explore and get around. The combat system works out quite nicely with the auto-aim, though quite easy at times when you just have to touch the person and you shoot at them. The only fault I'd find with the game is it tends to freeze on occasion and has slow times every now and then, but other than that this was a very well constructed game and one where you can have fun for hours and can literally "kill" time when you're bored.

I originally wasn't going to buy this but thanks to a great deal that made it available for half the price I'd be crazy to not take up the offer and purchase it. This game is ridiculously well polished and Eidos/Rocksteady did an amazing job on crafting this game into near perfection. This game excels greatly in two parts: Creating a massive setting rich in detail in which the possibilities to explore is nearly limitless and bringing the Batman world directly to your hands (barring Gotham City itself) so you get a full head on experience of how it is to be the Dark Knight himself.
The island that you are stuck upon is so fascinating and the environment is incredibly formulated that you actually won't want to leave the place. This tacked on with the Riddler trophies scattered all over the place gives you the motivated opportunity to explore every nook and cranny and each leaves you with a reward of interesting facts and stories from the Batman universe. The cut scenes give a stupendous and simply gorgeous view of the individual buildings within the island that your eyes are left completely dazzled. Also, the many ways in which you are able to interact within the different buildings including grappling on statutes, crawling through the ducts/sewers, using your gadgets to blow up weak structures to reveal hidden areas, and flying wherever and whenever make Arkham one of the best settings I've ever played and have had a chance to explore.
Now the game play itself is quite brilliant and once you get your hands upon the controller you just cannot put it down. Having control of Batman himself has to be an almost euphoric feeling since it lets you control one of the greatest superheroes of all time and the character you idolized so much in your younger days when you were watching the television show, reading the comics, and playing with the action figures. His strong packed punches and kicks added in with his Sherlock Holmes type mind that lets you analyze and use tactics gives you two different types of opportunities of fighting. You can either be a straight up brawler in which you go in and just kick ass by taking on hordes of thugs and with good reaction time (and strong fingers of course) as you dodge punches/weapons to take down every last one, or you can be the darkness itself and use hit and run tactics to slowly piece away the enemy and install fear within their hearts. With the aid of your trusty batarang and batclaw you have plenty of ways to diversify your combat style so you aren't limited to only fists and legs.
I could go on and on about how wonderful this game it is since it perfectly articulates what it is like to be Batman himself--from his marvelous suit, his utility belt with his superb gadgets, and the original commanding voice. But the best aspect of the game I enjoyed was
The Joker was the best choice of a villain to use, and to put him in charge of an insane asylum couldn't have been better than a match made in heaven. His costume, his voice, and his tone was so well done that it literally brought the comic book villain alive and you felt as if you were in the very same room as him. All throughout as you progressed in the game you felt his presence even if you never met face to face till near the end. You could just feel his aura everywhere you went as he left many pranks and surprises for you to run into and drove you insane with his maniacal laugh. I'm very glad that Eidos was able to bring Mark Hamill to do the voice acting since no one can come close to how well he orchestrates Joker's character with his sinister and evil commentary added on with his usual wit and quirkiness. No matter how many times I heard the same lines over and over again, I still enjoyed every damn part of it.
Of course this game doesn't go without its flaws that held back from it getting a perfect score. One of it is happens to be the repetitiveness with the fights. Now I don't mind this too much since you are still able to kick ass and do all the things that make Batman awesome, but with the way how the game was constructed and how much depth and detail they had put into the game, I would have figured that they made some of the fights a bit more creative besides sticking with the same formula that gets boring the third time around and on so.
With everything said, I have to say this was one of the best action games I've ever played and the most fun I've had with a super hero game since Spiderman on the PS1 and Spiderman 2 on PS2 (except those had more enjoyable boss fights and could quite well be on par with this game if it wasn't for the graphics difference). If I was to classify this game, I'd say it's a mix between Splinter Cell and Assassin's Creed. Splinter Cell since you are able to do spy-esque type tactics when it comes to infiltrating your enemies and intelligently taking them out from the shadows, and similar to Assassin's Creed with the stunning setting (except Israel is quite more captivating to look at then an insane asylum) and fighting style with the addition of your gadgets to aid you in fighting. It brings a nostalgia feeling to any Batman fan with how well the game is developed and it doesn't keep you bored since there is so much to explore as well as the challenge fights that allows you to try out and improve your combat skills. Not only is this the best Batman game ever made, but it is definitely one of the best games of 2009.
