Because I think that their relationship is very unique... it's anythin' but the typical cliché that some people deem it to be.

How it was beautifully developed, and how it progressed over time, slowly but surely...
It's realistic... it's perfect, I'm tellin' yah!

It's not a corny fairytale-kinda "love".
It's rather interesting and unpredictable.

First part of the Manga: establishing their friendship/acknowledgment and subtle romance.
Second part of the Manga: strengthening their bond/taking their relationship the next step.

I love every bit of it.

On the contrary... they're pretty similiar.
I mean, they have their differences, but they share a lot of similarities nonetheless.

Why do I lile NaruSaku? For the same reasons I like all my other fav pairings!

1. Because they really have been a pair truly since the very beginning. Take , for example, the time where Kakashi was unconscious and Naruto and Sakura were trying to take his mask off. Both of them yelled and fell back and Sakura started yelling at Naruto for ruining their plot. Sasuke watched from the sidelines. Or when Sakura secretly loved Naruto's prank (they didn't include this in the anime, I believe). Or when Naruto pretended to fall off the tree just to impress Sakura and Kakashi. Or Sakura's expression when he recovered his hitai-ate from Zabuza. Or when Naruto was dreaming about protecting Sakura. Or when Sakura stood up to Sasuke for Naruto's sake. Or when Naruto fought tooth-and-nail for Sakura against Gaara. Or when Sakura was willing to give up the Chuunin Exams for Naruto's "crazy dream because she doesn't want it taken from him forever." And still there's more.

2. Because they interact more than the other pairings. I remember, counting all the times Sakura blushed at Naruto in vol. 2 with my best friend (who I force Naruto and Bleach upon XD). Even in vol. 2, NaruSaku was already becoming apparent.

3. Because they have gone on "dates." Discount them if you want to, but NaruHina and SasuSaku haven't had any! tongue.gif

4. Because they look good together. Okay, I know I'm being trivial here, but who cares? 8D

5. Because they need a happy ending. Not just Naruto, mind you! With all the crap they've gone through; for once, they need some happiness and peace.

6. Because they're alike. You know, "Birds of a feather flock together!" wub.gif

wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif NaruSaku....where hitting means affection and foxes love flowers. wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif
this is how I feel too so I will just qoute this happy.gif

Naruto is a person whose inner strength and outer behavior often surprise, amaze, and inspire the people around him. However, there are two occasions in his lifetime in the manga/anime so far where he showed far more selflessness and sacrifice than any other occasion. These two occasions are when the manga/anime truly impressed me, and they became unforgettable moments.

The first is when he gave every effort in his battle with Gaara. In that battle, he put his life in grave danger against incredible odds, used all that he had ever learned: elementary ninja skills, thousands of kage bunshins, Gamabunta summon, Kyuubi chakra; he pulled moments after moments of crowning awesome and fought to his very last bit of energy, and ultimately defeated a tailed beast all by himself, when he was still a Genin without Rasengan. He fought a kage-level battle, and won it, although fainting out of tiredness right after.

The second is when he made the promise of a lifetime. The very word "lifetime" and the weight of the promise makes it so that this promise becomes his raison-d'etre for pretty much the remaining of the series until now. Yet, he made this promise at a moment right after fully realizing the extent to which the girl he loves really loves someone else - Sasuke. During that scene, Naruto made a forced smile to hide his pain in order to give Sakura a ray of hope, and it worked brilliantly despite how much it must've hurt for him. He totally sacrificed his own happiness there.

The first established Naruto's strength, and the second established Naruto's purpose. Yet, out of these two epitomes of Naruto's sacrifices, the first was mostly to protect Sakura's well-being, while the second was mostly to protect Sakura's happiness. To think that the greatest sacrifices Naruto made were all made for Sakura, I think Naruto definitely deserves to be with Sakura.

Now, it only makes things better that Sakura's attitude towards Naruto is gradually making an 180 degrees turn since the beginning of the series, such that their mutual affections later (if happens) would be natural and wouldn't be much of a surprise. On top of that, Sakura is indeed the most normal female character of their age group and she received the most character development. Unlike Temari, Sakura has her immature side. Unlike Tenten, Sakura has character significance. Unlike Ino, Sakura has a more acceptable degree of genuineness and sincerity, and unlike Hinata, Sakura has her own thoughts and goals, and is a much stronger person. Meanwhile, Sakura and Naruto are practically best friends right now so there's a much greater deal of mutual understanding and mutual respect in this pairing than any other alternative. I'd say she is a person worthy of Naruto's devotion. I guess that's why I'm fully behind NaruSaku.

I totally and completely agree with you. His thoughts mirror my own. I want the poor boy to achieve everything he sets his mind to. He has had enough heartbreak as it is. Sakura is Naruto's SO BACK OF SASUSAKU AND NARUHINA FANS!!! SHE IS TAKEN!!!! rawr.gif

Well,

I agree the relationship is more realistic. The characters started as young typical kids with crushes and naive views of the world, particularly Sakura, the only character to have made the biggest change in whole of the anime. As true to life, as people grow up our views and opinions change due to our experiences. Sakura has not demonstrated that she is still in love with Sasuke. From what i have seen and read, she wants to help him more for Naruto's sake than for her own. Naruto changes people and sparks passion within them. She notices that he has grown up and just how much he cares for Sasuke as a brother (refer back to conversation she has with Sai in Shippuuden). Sakura begins to see Naruto in another light, as she soon discovers the truth about him and her desire to protect him grows stronger. She worries for him more now than ever, possibly because she feels helpless at the fact she may not be able to do anything to stop the Kyuubi. Her first feelings of annoyance have now turned into admiration and trust. They are a team and work together well due to the trust they now have. Sakura has also learnt that Naruto is true to his word and actually understands her better than she thought, which makes her feel sad as she recalls that she was a b*tch towards him at first, claiming he knew nothing of how she feels (recall when she begs him to help bring Sasuke back).

In some ways to, Naruto is driven to bring Sasuke back for Sakura's sake more than for himself. He cares for his friend but is angry at his own failure to bring him back, which resulted in the breaking of a promise to the person he loves. Naruto's crush on Sakura didn't fizzle out but actually grew stronger as the series went on. Even Tsunade noticed his soft spot when Naruto walked out of the hospital room when Sakura hugged Sasuke (who did not hug back i note!).

Sasuke however, has only ever thought of his brother and his own ambitions. Him saying 'thank you' to Sakura before he smacks her over the head, doesn't mean he feels the same...it just means he is grateful that she tried to stop him as he isn't stupid and knows exactly what waits ahead. He knows Oricimaru wants him as a sacrifice. Yes he has saved her in the past but again that was used to show difference in power between him and naruto. Sasuke notices during the fight with Gaara that naruto becomes stronger in order to help protect Sakura. He isn't jealous that Naruto saved her when he couldn't, he is jealous that Naruto is stronger than him, that is all. Even he tells Sakura that is was Naruto who protected her, and she begins to look at Naruto differently. I saw it as her getting her heart broken and him letting her down in a nice way. It is hard to open your heart to someone and practically beg. I think this was just another way of showing that Sasuke isn't all bad. He let Naruto live to didn't he?!

Although i do have to point out that the new female (can't remember names) who is in 'snake' sasukes new team in the manga, is older and is just like sakura was in first series, irritating.

I reckon they will bring Sasuke back in some way, with fight etc, and he will notice that there is a connection between Sakura and Naruto and will either be a man and point it out to Sakura or push Naruto to her, and walk away, or fight cause he is jealous. I know Hinata loves Naruto and i am unsure the impact this will have on him...but i think again he will be shy and like 'thank you' (just like Sasuke was with Sakura), when they are talking Sakura will get red and embarrassed and jealous, but will say nothing, act violent and go in denial. But hinata has always known Naruto likes Sakura and so she will notice something and feel hurt and heartbroken (just like Inuoe did in Bleach when she became jealous of Ichigo and Rukia's relationship)....

Plus there is the fact that Sakura's feelings for Naruto are supposedly supposed to help him in the future...possibly because he feels so strongly and because people have noticed something in her that she is yet to identify and accept.

....now i used to be a Sasuke and Sakura fan, but only because of the fact i felt sorry for Sakura having unrequited love...but since Shippuuden my views have changed...now for my views to change the writers must have done something subtle to cast doubt and curiousity...it is an intentional change...a build up that fits the story and makes sense. besides, we forget that Tsunade and Ero Sennin discuss how 4th is Narutos Dad and his mother was a tom boy with attitude...well sakura is a tom boy with attitude to! perfect match. Like father like son.

I think that is enough debate for now! Hope you all agree with my arguement!

I agree to! very powerful scenes and as Naruto is lead character, who we all love, it is only fair for him to get what he wants and has been fighting for all this time. It would be nice if near the end with a fight between him and Sasuke she could step inbetween and tell him he doesn't need to fight anymore, the promise is broken, she needs him...It would definately be a moment of emotional powerup as Naruto is pretty much led by emotions. As for Sasuke, I don't think he will ever settle back in the leaf village, he will travel around as a mercenary or something.

hey guys, i feel a little confuse on this...
when naruto was fighting to sasuke, he had one-tail out,
when naruto was training and met orochimaru at the bridge (after rescuing gaara) he had four-tail out,
when hinata was hit by pein he had six-tail out (hix)
but, why when at season 1, his battle to gaara, he was trying to protect sakura and no-tail out??
was that bcoz of...i don't know, what's your opinion?

QUOTE
when hinata was hit by pein he had six-tail out (hix)

Shock, grief, pain, sense of loss, loneliness, anger, futility, especially after all the carnage of Konoha that he just learned since he came back

My interpretation is that Naruto is more likely to release tails when he is emotionally hurt to a great degree. Basically, the more negative, inward emotions he feels, the more likely he won't be able to keep his tails in check. Another way to put it is that the more emo-angry he becomes, the more tails he grows. There's also the obvious interpretation that the more times you've been in tailed mode, the easier releasing tails becomes.

Naruto fought Gaara when he was younger, more naive, with less fear, and that fight he was preoccupied with two purposes: to protect Sakura from death, and to show Gaara the light. And both were possible and he was determined to make them happen. It wasn't a situation that would cause Naruto to go emo since there is still the little bit of hope. Add in the fact that Naruto has only borrowed bits of Kyuubi chakra before and has never released any tails at the moment, it's not surprising that no tails came out, because there were no triggers and he lacked the tailed experience. Naruto was at his best on that day, and when Naruto is at his best, you don't expect him to grow tails, do you? No, you'd expect him to fight like the Yondaime.

I'll state my reasons here but theyre so super long so you'll probably take a while reading it.:

Hinata claims that she loves Naruto because of the strenght he gave her, and actually, I kinda agree with it. I mean, I know naruto is pretty much like an annoying idiot (and even I thought that he was a lousy main character at first) but he proves to be quite amazing. he has touched lives of others around him especially Gaara and Sakura (and I admit, even me).

But it can also be stated that Hinata mistakened Admiration for Love. she probably respects and admires naruto as someone to look up to (kinda like an idol). Maybe Hinata became inspired of naruto's actions so much that she mistook it for Love and Romantic Feelings. but the possibility of Hinata truly loving Naruto is also a huge possibility.

Sakura hated Naruto since the first moment they met. but in the later parts of the series he starts to prove himself as a worthy shinobi and even sakura is slowly realizing this. she may not have developed any feelings for naruto until Shippuden. and as you can see, in shippuden, Sakura seems to appreciate naruto's compliments more and she becomes overprotective of him, and plus, she also noticeably gets a bit jealous when Naruto is in really good terms with another girl. This shows that she slowly develps feelings for him.

then heres the grand finale people!!!!

Hinata liked Naruto since their Academy ninja days and sure, she had a crush on naruto way longer than sakura did but Sakura had more time to get to know Naruto than Hinata which shows that Sakura really had time to get to know him before having a crush on him which means it's probably true love people!!! (yaaaaaayyyy!!!) but hinata's incident with Naruto and Pain in the Pain Invasion arc made me kinda change my views with the whole "mistaking admiration for love thing". but still. I think that NARUSAKU has way more chance than naruhina.

and this's the honest point of view coming from meh!!!!

thank you for reading all this way, and please give me some objections or advice if any (it can help improve my point of view).

TY

I vote for NaruSaku......gotta problem with it, punk?

Naruto and Sakura, I think personally, have the most and best interaction besides Naruto and Sasuke. Their development also did not go fast at all. It took it's time-- something a good relationship needs. Couples are best off disagreeing once in a while and having different opinions. They also need to make up for what the other lacks. Naruto and Hinata? Hinata would just sit there going along with anything and everything Naruto wanted. Sakura would openly voice her opinion and try to HELP Naruto.

Well I like it firstly because they have the most development of all of the pairings in Naruto.

And they have always been together through happy, sad and hard times.

Naruto is always there for Sakura he's always doing things for her and always protecting her.

Sakura would be happy with someone she knows would die for her sake.
