I'm just really surprised by some of the posts here. lol but I guess that happens with every pairing chapter. The chapter was clear, especially given what's happening and the history behind it. Sigh :/ 

True you saw it as did I and some other I know James will see and so will some others too, while the rest will just moan like 5 year olds wanting Sakura to be something that she is not.

I'm done, not with NS Sakura or the Manga just hear for this week as half the people here are driving me crazy, at least a few of us here are trying our best to defend Sakura this chapter.

Why does she have to be defended all the time? We are all Sakura fans but we want to be real. Sakura isnt this postive flower, she has many faults and many of thoae thing are going to be discussed.

About Naruto didn't nothing for protecting Sakura, you can notice that Sasuke never moved, He did put a genjutsu on her and she just fainted to ground...

Well.. most of the chapter felt right to me.

 

Sakura begging Sasuke to stop was the only real purpose of that scene.

Declaring\confirming feelings, especially the stuff only we, pairing fans, want, can and do see, damn, that sounded pretty strange are not that important right here.

 

After Sakura was crossed out of the conversation, Kakashi stepped in. He also tried to convince Sasuke, that there are people who still care for him.

Come to think of it, every person, who was drown in the world of darkness and hate, who knew how it feels to be loved, want to be loved again, even if he denies it. That`s just too obvious to mention..

And the word love doesn`t have to be used in romantic matter only. Otherwise the word care about would be more proper.

 

So we got the final option in order to deal with Sasuke. It`s Naruto. This is their battle only.

 

P.S. the thing I didn`t really like is Naruto`s reaction to Sakura`s fall into unconsciouss state.

From my 1st\2nd\3rd and therefore impressions it was some kind of extra inappropriate comic relief.

I wish Naruto would gave Sasuke a serious look and asked the same question in the calm tone.

 

P.P.S. the world will be frozen until their battle ends.. just thinking about this give me creeps

This chapter proves:

Sasuke doesn't love Sakura

Sakura loved(MP is more accurate to me) Sasuke

You missed the entire damn point. I said love isn't only romantic. Love can be teammate love, sibling love, family love, friendship love etc. 

Sakura cares about him, but doesn't love him romantically. I'm not saying she loves him because it'll cause confusion, but I do think that Sakura does deeply, deeply care about him. You're implying that she's still in love with him romantically.

But my opinion stands. I don't think she just cares about him as a dearest friend. The last thing he will ever be is "dear". She doesn't even trust him. I think you all are trying to downplay her feelings for him and this is not good. Feelings aren't only measured by words, be they in past, present or future tenses. She's not butthurted because he treated her like trash, dumped her or attempted to kill her. It's not about her. It's about Sasuke. She's desperated because she's seeing someone she really cares (STILL cares) going on a terrible path and she cannot do anything against it.

 

And lol, what's wrong with this MS version. They've worsened the situation.

I take that quite seriously actually. Cause all this is leading up to is just NS happening as a result of Sakura being burned by her first love and and is only with Naruto due of it. If this keeps up, then all that development is just a waste to me because it seems they change nothing. Sakura having loved Sasuke is one thing but having it constantly brought up is what looks so damaging to her character because 1) her former feelings are not even the issue anymore because she has WATCHED him change and become more and more dark and self centred  but still wants to cling to him and 2) it just makes me sad to think that she actually is talking about love but doesn't even know what it is. which is surprising and honestly very out of character cause she grew up in a normal family and should realize that she was interested in Sasuke for his looks only and that he acted cool which is a very shallow and uncomplicated way of saying she only liked the guy, and did not truly know him.

 

Now don't get me wrong I still support NaruSaku but right now I completely HATE how it's being portrayed. Kishi is not doing a proper job of it to me and this excuse about loving Sasuke for a plot point has gone on long enough. It was stupid and damaging to have ever called the feelings Sakura had for Sasuke love and I'm sick of it.    

 

People wouldn't stop complaining about Sakura's "unresolved feelings" towards Sasuke.

 

Then this chapter comes out and says she loved him, just like the databook, and then people complain about how Kishimoto shouldn't mention Sasuke at all.

No but i wished he did in KH1. I was talking about that his favorite character is Axel and he killed him off in KH2. I wish Kishi would do to Sasuke but no.

BTW I said "wished that Riku would die in KH1." I meant that in past tense meaning I don't anymore. That's how Sakura used to feel for him romantically but not anymore as I see it. So I don't mean to be rude but relax.

Because if you read this thread, a good majority are either criticising her for something she didn't say/ do ("she says she LOVES Sasuke!") or because they have admitted they downright hate Sakura.

 

Sakura gets plenty of flack in ever corner of the internet. The NF spoilers thread were chocked full of people who were disappointed that the (insert dehumanising term here) wasn't dead.

She was rendered unconscious, right? The only active ninja still around is Kakashi. Either he releases the genjutsu for Sakura or she confronts the illusion in her subconscious and breaks it on her own somehow. This is a blow to Sakura's genjutsu aptitude regardless. Even if she manages to break it on her own, she was incapacitated for a short time and that could have meant the difference between surviving and dying. Although you could make an argument for the strength of Sasuke's Sharingan illusion being the primary reason for her quick defeat.

Oh I didn't realise you only had such a narrow boundary as to what constitutes as bashing. I suppose if people pointed and laughed at you when you cry would be a compliment then. 

 

My "lecture" comment was just paraphrasing your "tnj" comment. Which is not exactly meant to be any harsher than it is, considering Naruto and Sasuke's last Valley of the End conversation constituted of them screaming at each other while bleeding to death.

 

Sakura isn't going to have a role in it because the series' main focus is Naruto and Sasuke. If you have a problem with the writing, criticise the author, not the character.

I laughed at the degression Kishi has made with Sakura's claims, not the fact that she's in tears. Nice assumption though.

 

So if it's just screaming and bleeding to death, why couldn't Sakura have a part to play in the fight? Obvious answer is obvious.

 

You just stated one of the reasons why she won't have a role in it. What to hear another one? Sakura isn't going to have a role in it because her character has slowly been made into the third wheel behind Naruto & Sasuke, hence her challenge of catching up with them and watching her back. But again, how's that turned out?

 

Oh and I've been criticizing the writer this whole time if you haven't notice.

I.....I really find this weird but....am I the only one who felt that what Sasuke and Kakashi said about Sakura in this chapter like, "I really don't know what she likes in me and I have no interest in her" and "She wanted to save you and there's nothing more to it" was like Kishi directly speaking to us readers? I mean I really don't know but it really felt like it were Kishi's own thoughts and he was telling that to us!

I concluded many many things this chapter...And one of them was....that Sasuke still has a soft spot for Team 7. For Sakura it is just for the comrade times they shared and it's something more for Naruto. That guy really hails Naruto as his brother.

however, I still don't get SO6P's words. The part about Naruto getting a girl for himself is fine but Sasuke as well? Weird enough! Though that's more of Karin's job....but still....

So now even Kakashi said that she just wanted to save Sasuke from turning evil and there was nothing more to that! SS is dead today.....

Oh! And even Sakura's image of Sasuke prince charming was.shattered today and she did come to accept that....in a harsh way.

And....Sasuke remains an kitten XD God! I could not bear to see Sakura chan like that X(

I still think it was an interesting chapter. There were so many call-backs to pt1. Sakura and Kakashi's plea for Sasuke to stay. Naruto's true willingness to fight him all out. Then finish it off with them returning to the VotE. I see a lot of possible closures finally being brought forth.

rocci. if the  row came and the manga stream version were right  (SS AND NS ) dead. . is there any way for NS to be canon in a good way or  it will be an open ending?

Kishimoto is trolling hard, i think this chapter is like tellling me that he's not going to conclude the romance subplot.

I don't believe in a conclusion so earlier, either. I think he's going to leave this to "THE LAST" movie or to the new generation that seems to come after this movie. There's still a lot to be developed.
