I don't think the mark is there anymore... Remember, it disappeared when he became the Juubi jinchuuriki? Unless Minato put another one on him and I just don't remember. Tobirama put one on him though, pretty sure, so that's probably still there.

Gai's Night Moth was a lot more exciting than SasuNaru team attack for me personally! I am much more interested in the ending of the chapter.

Obito pushing her out of the way? He's tired and barely hanging on because of Black Zetsu. If he has strenght and will to push her out of the way, then he should have strenght to destroy his own eyes and not request silly things to young girls. She too, should be able to do that alone, avoid a chakra rod. If Obito pushes her out of the way or saves her in any way, I'll be angry.

 

 

Yes. Nothing would make me happier. See her getting Slug Sage mode or something like that would be amazing. But... she has no chakra. :(

 

Very good point.  That has crossed my mind as well.  If he has the strength to save her, he should have had the strength to crush his own eye.  It's possible he could kamui it away, but that depends on how much chakra he has left, and the speed of the attack.  However, Black Zetsu could take control immediately after such use.  However, if Obito sees this,Sakura should too, and be able to dodge the rod.  Heck, Madara blatantly made his presence known by yelling out like that.  However, seeing only Obito get a reaction shot at the end implies he's going to do something.  He may suddenly have the strength to move, if plot dictates so.  We also have to ask why he would protect Sakura.  He doesn't know what Sakura means to Naruto.  We can assume he'll act on impulse because of his failure to save Rin, but that's not guarantee either.  What if he does?  He'll get impaled by the rod, and can't use kamui, effectively stranding himself and Sakura.  How can the plot go from there other than Madara possibly killing them both and then leaving after getting the eye.  Sakura may be able to take out the rod, and try to fight off Madara as Obito warps himself out with the Rinnegan.  As long as he has the Rinnegan, his safety is paramount after all.  That's one scenario, but is it what will actually happen?  There are so many combinations to how events transpire it's like trying to guess what number a person is thinking from 1-10 correctly three times in a row.

That's all true and all but we have to consider the fact that Kishimoto may spam on Obito's last strength just as he has done with kakashi's overuse of the Sharingan. A lot of people got frustrated and furious that Kakashi used Kamui so many times in this one arc then the couple times he said he can only use rarely back in the kazekage retrieval arc. (Plus not going blind from overuse of the MS) it's possible that Kishi may parallel this trait with Obito as well..........wait to late he already is cause Obito isn't DEAD yet!!! XD

And also about if Obito would take the black rod attack instead of Sakura and be stabbed, he wouldn't need to cause he still has that six paths staff of his to block the black rod right??? O_o lol

Of course that we should because Sasuke wasn't making the decisions himself it was all the darkness's fault she made him do it , but its OK now because he went to the holly church of Hashirama to receive the holly speech

I know people are skeptical about Obito not being able to move and losing control of black zetsu but its not far out there to think he could get a sudden urge of will to manage the incoming rod at sakura. Otherwise Sakura could possibly use reserve energy if she has any left in her seal.

 

My point is, if anything will has been something strong in this series and managed to save people out of hotspots, likewise ass-pull no jutsu works many wonders.

 

Then its just again what I said about this being a very similar situation to before naruto was healed. People suspected sakura to die or obito too, well again obito is still around, he is going to go anyways, its already been bad on him to have so much yanked from his body and used as a meat puppet while also needing to expend even more energy sealing yin kurama plus the 1 and 8 tailed portions into naruto. A rod would be the least of his harms if you ask me, (besides he is part zetsu, one half of his body doesn't even feel pain). I mean can sakura get wounded? Yes but die? No point in it, I need to ask, how can anyone even see the ending without her you know, being present, naruto doesnt really accomplish everything if sakura died. I mean do we honestly need another repeat of the shortcomings from their predecessors, I mean with the others that died in someway, its literally just stupid in mindset that at this point, everything naruto does goes accordingly but sakura still dies. This would just make fate a convolved jerk that costs 1 thing for everything else in some point and time to succeed, all expect madara who said screw you life and put his whole insane plan into action defying life.

 

Sakura has purpose for other roles ahead namely well, with team 7, to think she would die even before a resolution could be reached with her own teammates, thats just hard to imagine. Obito is weaker but literally wouldn't his deal protecting sakura be another form of him turning around, like he succeeded in protecting sakura unlike rin, you know avoid a repeat of the disaster? The last thing this series needs right now is more drama when we already got that with naruto and sasuke down and guy almost dying. I mean the battle started now, is it even necessary at this point? I know people seem disappointed if obito saves sakura but some stuff remains really open to be well, seen without needing to see whats coming next. im not saying its obvious but just a good chance it will turn out that way.

 

literally the nutshell way of saying this as a NS fan is, if kishi is serious about NS as an ending element in the series from kushinas foreshadow then thats simply a plot element aside from team 7 factors sakura would need to be well, alive for to fulfill.

Well... maybe Kishimoto will surprise us and maybe she will defend herself. I would rather see her fight too, but I think what will happen is Obito shielding her right now because Madara is surely aiming at her, not at Obito. She is the one with the kunai almost scratching the Rinnegan...

And I think Obito's character needs some closure with Rin, and since Sakura is so much alike her... well I think Kishi will go for it.

Maybe she will fight after that, or do something badass.

I hope so.

But to be honest, he most likely will get his legs anew, I mean hes highly part zetsu now. if not though I wonder how this conflict will work out for sakura and obito if madara is just a floating torso.
