Don't know it's simple to say that Karin's character is just to obsess over Sasuke. Right now one can assume the attack scared her immensely and jumps from one extreme to the other. If this is true then what's the reason for it. If anything even thou her allegiance to Sasuke is related to her feelings for him why this much exaggeration.

 

It could be interesting to be revealed that right now sasuke is in the good and doesn't emanate any evil chakra so she is fine and attracted to it, but probably when he will show again his evil chakra maybe things will change.

 

There's also the possibility that she will be used as a negative role model for Sakura and Ino. the placement of this characters and the fact that they are acting in support for the fight may trigger some conversations between the 3 of them. But don't know it would feel bland. If that's the case then Kishi would be ruining an interesting character.

I honestly don't know guys, there is definitely something off with the costant need from Kishi to show Karin "fangirling" over Sasuke in the recent chapters, it has been brought up too many times now. To me Kishimoto is trying to make us believe she is still on Sasuke's side, even with the emphasis of her horny thoughts. I have the feeling she will backstab him later in the manga, and god, I really hope she does.

 

Nah, I don't think she was acting... who is she trying to convince with that, besides maybe the readers? I believe that was genuinely her own self, despite not liking the timing nor how Kishi chose to show it. However I do agree he might be showing it with something planned for later.

I am surprised tumblr and other places are freaking out thinking Shikamaru is dead or will die. Do they really think he'd kill off an important character with no build up, fanfare, or numerous flashbacks? Shikamaru dying was then immediately followed by Karin doing bad comic relief. Does anyone think Kishi would be that tasteless if he wasn't going to be alright?

This is just a repeat of Kakashi, Hinata, and the Kages. Ratchet up the angst.

It's a strange comic relief. Much like some other relief in other manga/anime that makes you question. That said well I got no comment. I already established that Karin is like Juvia of the series, obsessed and a bit too crazy. Don't look at me, it's just the way it is.

 

but Gray never hurt Juvia (physically....when she turned good!) lol

(for Karin it was only funny when Sasuke was on her side and he didn't hurt her.....it's not funny anymore knowing that Sasuke almost killed her intentionally)

 

Karin was becoming such a cool character when she decided that Sasuke wasn't good enough for her.....

She always has been shown to have this attraction to him, due to her sensing abilities, whether intentional or not.  That's all this is: involuntary infatuation.  I have no doubt she can put it aside, if the need arises.

 

Also, for discussions sake, what did Orochimaru mean by Sasuke looks displeased?  Is it because of Naruto's growth or the fact they are losing right now?

He understood Sasuke is feeling inferior to Naruto again. Sasuke doesn't give two kittens about the war, he just wants to kill Naruto himself.

Point taken though what if Gray does the same one day. I guess it's one of those how the writer from Japan would handle the situation. In other words, find me another manga/anime that has the same one.

Btw, possible Sakura and Karin interaction: they cooperare in saving Shika's life. Karin might recognize her life savior.

I loved this chapter...

It was so touching...

 

The way Naruto's heart has been linked to everyone thank's to Ino's jutsu... it's just.... kishi is a genius to have imagined this. This is just great. May be a hint of the future peace like someone here said. It's really surprising, touching and interesting at the same time. I would have never thought of it. This is beautiful. Sakura was one of the firsts to realise that it was Naruto's heart, i liked it. Ino and Sakura was so moved by Naruto's feelings, it brought me to tears.It's just so beautiful... everyone got connected to Naruto's heart, even this bastard Sasuke... maybe he will understand now... I will give a little break to Sasuke because he reacted well this chapter.

 

The kages are approaching, i was guessing right last week, but i thought they would arrive before Orochimaru.

I'm terribly disappointed by what Kishi's done with Karin... i don't understand really... oh god... meh

 

Well about Shika... i'm SURE Sakura will save him.

Everyone else that was touched by the tree died quickly. Kishi is making it last for Shika for a reason.

 

This panel is of great importance to me.

 

 

It's drawn in a way that we feel it's like the more important thing in Sakura's ninja's life right know. This view, over Sakura... Sakura rushing... it's like a medic rushing over a dying person in real life. To me it's obvious that Kishi is making this really important for her. So i'm sure she will save him, and i strongly hope NOBODY help.

 

About the genjutsu... well... i was sure it was gonna happen, and know i think it will not happen. Everyone feeling it's like dying... so if this genjutsu become a success, then it would be like failing for everyone... i think maybe they did RtN because the Tsukuyomi will never happen in the manga...

yea I know..... it's just kinda sad that something that horrible is accepted just because it's a norm in manga.

Not a bad chapter, but I was expecting more than an other emotional chapter.

I read the comments at the beginning and I don't see how Naruto was lost in this chapter or going to give up he was just angry and sad of course but his facial expression says it all and I got the impression he was rising up before Sasuke told him anything, Sasuke only managed to help Naruto focus that anger. I have a lot of critics towards Naruto's character but there was nothing wrong with him this chapter I don't get where people were seeing Naruto was giving up. Someone care to explain me.

 

Kishi's attempts at humor are pathetic and at the expense of Karin's character it's not funny Kishi and in the middle of the war and many deaths it's even more ridiculous. Please stop butchering her character more than she is.

Other speaking, about Sakura I thought, now that Naruto and Sasuke are joinin' forces again to fight, it would be so great if she join them and they would be team 7 and team work for real. I know she will be busy with Shika right now, but I would love to see Naruto calling for her in the middle of the fight. I doubt Kishi would done that but I would love it... really.

 

Buuuuttt kages are comingggg so maybe things will wrap up differently I don't know ^^

 

There was something... also... in this chapter, that surprise me a little because it was the first time it was so clear to me : what Sakura said "this is... this is just.... like dying even before fighting", her realisation of that fact, her words, and her expression... that pretty could have been Naruto. Naruto could have react exactly like that. It almost slap me in the face.

 

In the past, there was already some hints like that (I think Sakura ressemble Naruto a lot), but it was never so clear to me. What do you think ?

Actually, the way I see it is that Naruto was the one in pain, meaning that Sasuke was intimidated by the same guy who was supposed to be stronger, but now he's on the ground. So if your rival is god-tier but easily down like that, you'll be like "Well...this is pathetic." That's why he was talking to him only because if he's stronger than him, show him, but he guess he's not all that to begin with. Sasuke at least has no remorse in order to move forward. Not sure what will happen next, but certainly Naruto is motivated because he felt that if he had said something, Sasuke wouldn't gone to dark path completely. That being said he has to fix that but also, he don't want any more regrets from this point forward.

Which is still goes to rival. It's odd but if the last chapter didn't do the way on how it went through, then maybe I would have think of it differently. Also, if you don't believe that stuff will happen in this war, well 633 says hi. Orochimaru always examine Sasuke when Naruto is involved for this whole arc.
