Honestly if Kishimoto puts Karin together with the team that will arrive on the battlefield, he will have a valid reason. He definitely exaggerated with this behavior of Karin towards Sasuke but you should know that 90% of her attitudes towards Sasuke in the manga has always been humorous, but this does not deny that the love of Karin is serious. She is this way. She is a female Naruto: rough, perverted, denied with talent, etc ... She's temperated as Kushina says about Uzumaki's attitudes. Before Kishimoto let us know that Karin is an Uzumaki and now he bring here on the babble despite she lacking fighiting skills. Karin will be useful since she has a greato healing powers.

Sakura is different from her, absolutely.

I noticed at the end of the chapter both Minato and Tobirama are using (or seem to be using it ) the thunder god technique without either of them using any kunais with seals . Could the Kage actually get to the battle using this technique ? Also , is it possible that Naruto's seal has the teleportation seal in it and Minato could get to him that way ?

After rereading I ve also noticed Orochimaru's reply to Hiruzen asking him why he sides with Sasuke . "Now I am interested in Sasuke-kun's *different path*" . Now I am not sure why different path is between * , but it is possible that it is made to show that it is not what he actually means . I really have a hard time believing Orochimaru just went good all the sudden ... I think he is still interested to get Sasuke and is only acting like this now because he is forced by the circumstances .

I am starting to think more and more that things are not as bad as they seem and there is a lot more to this chapter than it is shown to us

Something isn't right here. Naruto vs Sasuke has been such a heavy build up. If it doesn't happen then Naruto will officially be one of the worst manga ever written. However, I see this as being a set up for Sasuke to fall deeper into darkness. After all, Sasuke is going to see Madara, so what Madara tells Sasuke could turn him 10x more evil. I doubt that Kishimoto is going to let someone other than Naruto and Naruto alone make turn Sasuke onto *a different path*.

There's no way to call this chapter anything but Asspull. Calling it forced is way too polite. The point is though that the reason Sasuke has decided to protect the village is once again because of his brother. However, that whole Taka/Kage lovefest at the end was screaming Ass-Pull and even Orochimaru who wants Sasuke's body got in on the fun. Something is definitely up because nothing in that chapter actually made sense. Especially Karin getting over the fact that Sasuke stabbed her in the CHEST.

Nothing to worry about though because Naruto has not demonstrated any changes in his feelings, nor has he declared any kind of love towards Hinata.

Idk, I just feel like we are being set up for some big twist like Sasuke turning on the Kages or Orochimaru attacking Sasuke. Curse you Kishi and your irrational logic

Possibly. Orochimaru has always come across very...sneaky to me. He's been alive for too long just to "turn good" like that. I'd like to believe he's the one true villain that will remain evil to the core and just do his own thing. If that happens, then I can see him betraying Sasuke later on.

Mhmm according to him. And I'm not exactly sure. With the way he said "he hadn't tried to imitate me", maybe it was more like Kurama's situation.

I'm in agreement with kirabook on where she stands with NaruSakuSasu. If Sasuke does turn good (and is still alive), and Sakura still chooses Naruto over him, then there's no way Naruto would be seen as a "rebound".

Anyone still raging over 627 and what it could mean for pairings, chill. Remember how 615 turned out to be a big fuss over nothing?

I'm guessing you missed the posts where people were mocking Sakura's fangirling.

I guessed you were directing that last comment at me, since you seem to only be responding to what I have to say, but I haven't been bashing Sakura. Criticizing the author and bashing a character are two completely different things.

Given what Kishimoto has done with this manga, I have every right to worry about what he might (or might not) be planning on doing with my favorite character. Only getting screentime for the sake of developing pairing drama is not good development. Not doing anything to fight alongside the hero, despite saying she would, is not good development. Waiting until the last possible moment in the manga to give NaruSaku any more development, all the while throwing around NaruHina (and possibly SasuSaku) curve balls, is not good development.

Imagining what Kishimoto might have her do when Sasuke arrives, based on what we've seen him do to Karin, is stressing me out. She already has a bad reputation amongst the fanbase that she doesn't deserve - I don't want to see that worsen.

All of the things that I've been hoping for for her character seem less and less likely with every passing chapter. What purpose will Sakura have in the battle with all of the undead Hokages, Team Taka, Sasuke, Naruto, Killer Bee, and eventually the other Kages there? She's not even in the same ballpark as them, thanks to Kishimoto's lack of interest in training her. I never expected her to be on par with Naruto or Sasuke, but I at least figured she'd grow to be as strong as Kakashi or Tsunade by the final fight. Instead of at least letting her learn how to summon Katsuyu, develop her skills in genjutsu, or train to use the Yin Seal, Kishimoto focused on her ability to make antidotes, poisons, and smoke bombs.

Now we're at the point where it's too late for her to get any decent development without it feeling like Kishimoto just pulled it out of his ass. It will be nice to see her choose Naruto over good-guy Sasuke, but I was hoping for more than just pairing development to come from her character. Let me see her punch Obito square in the jaw. Let me see her round-house kick the Jyuubi into the horizon. Let me see her powered up with the Kyuubi's cloak. Let me see her do more than just heal fodder shinobi.

That's all I want for Sakura.

I know I'm jumping to conclusions, which I shouldn't do, so apologies for that. I hope that you're right and that I'm worrying over nothing. I really do.

I'm hoping that Karin was pretending a little, like she had before in front of the Konoha men in order to escape. If she's going to have a serious discussion with Sasuke about what happened or reveal how she feels about the whole incident, then I can see her doing it when there's less people than right right now. Yeah, I agree. I think people is getting 615 effect, only this time it revolves the plot which I can't blame them this time. But as I explained before, I can't really judge until later event.

Me... I liked this chapter in fact I almost loved this chapter which is hard for me to say since it was mainly focused on a character I am not fond of,

I don't know what anyone else was thinking but I expected this to happen when Karin encountered Sasuke again, in fact I have been waiting for this to occur since chapter 574(??)

anyway bring on the next chapter too bad we need to wait a week

btw... anyone know when the Golden Week break will be?? I am guessing in two weeks so Kishimoto can ramp up his usual pre break cliffhanger lol

You know, I can't help but find the responses from this chapter on this forum hilarious. We all knew Sasuke was gonna turn good. If you, for even a second, thought Kishi was gonna kill off his precious Sasuke and end the Uchiha bloodlines, then I'm sorry but you weren't using your head. It's obvious he was gonna be redeemed. Especially after all the sacrifices and damages to the Uchiha. Madara and Hashirama's failed friendship was the last straw. Sasuke was obviously gonna succeed past the curse of his clan. The moment Sasuke revived the Hokages to give himself a life lesson, I knew he would turn good. I also find it funny that Sasuke turning good is what convinces people SasuSaku can happen. Even though I've been attacked for saying Neji died to make NaruHina canon. :/

I also stated over and over that Karin would still be in love with Sasuke but people said it was a simple rouse to get herself out of prison. Nope. I was right. Which means nothing changed. Sakura, Ino and Karin are all as much in love with Sasuke as before. All that's left is to show if Naruto still has feelings for Sakura or if Kishi really did make Naruto jump ship with Neji's death.

Finally, there were a large majority of people who blamed the whole situation on Tobirama, and called him a bigot. For doing his job and protecting the village. For being wary of the Uchiha who've not only been mentioned 3 times to be unstable and emotional, but also shown that too. This chapter proved he trusted some and was wary of some. And he's right for it too. I blame ForneverWorld's asinine video for popularizing a bastardization of Tobirama's good intentions. That jackass.
