Pretty awesome new chapter makes me want to watch more of the anime. Anyone know why there hasn't been a new episode in a few weeks?

The season only had 11 episodes. 

 

But, they will definitely be back with another season!  The bright side of this is that the anime studio can stay within Arakawa's manga storyline and not sacrifice the quality of their animation.

Well that sucks, kinda unusual though most shorter anime seasons I've seen have 12 episodes I was waiting for the last one :'c

I think they definitely nailed it, from the looks of it. Probably will be the most promising Live Action adaptations next year.

I did like the scene between Hachiken and Mikage, it was rather sweet, and they definitely notice each other's hard work.  I do wonder who they will end up living with for the second year?

Here's a crack theory that suddenly came to my mind:

 

Despite what Nishikawa says in this chapter, I think he'll end up being a light novel writer/Visual Novel/Dating Sim programmer in the epilogue where he strikes it rich by making whatever his product is to be completely identical to Hachiken and Mikage's love life.

The shipping feels!  I was really rooting for Mikage to give her honmei chocolate to Hachiken, but hopefully she will do it another time.    I can understand that she chose not to do it because Hachiken looked really focused and serious.

 

Okawa is being a total bastard in this chapter. 

 

I wonder what sort of company Hachiken wants to start?

I kinda figured that one of Hachiken's possible routes is creating his own business.... One that helps the agricultural economy, maybe?

Hmm, yeah

It could be an extension of his pork buying scheme with the other students.  He did think about how much the hot dogs would be worth in the city when he ate one, so perhaps he might be thinking about selling farm produce directly to people in the city and cutting out all the middlemen?

Great chapter, I liked all of it. 

 

Hachiken's dad did have a point, how could he be expected to invest in a company that has no clear plan?  Until then, it seemed like there was a chance that he would agree.  So Hachiken will have to come up with a clear plan very soon.

 

With all the shipping in this chapter, I fully expect Evil Okawa to return with a vengeance and torment Hachiken in the next chapter. 

 

However...

 

There will be no more Silver Spoon until mid-December at least!

Makes him no less of a jerk though. My favourite part was when Hachi got the (romantic)chocolates. NOW I will go somewhere and cry for the month and a half long break of this series.
