I've fangirled the series Monk ever since its pilot episode, and ever since Natalie was introduced in season 3, I've loved her relationship with Monk. And when the series finale rolled around a couple years ago, I was supremely bummed that they didn't hook up...

Well now that's just....weird.

Reread Fruits Basket over the last couple of days--for the first time since, well, my first time in high school//somewhere between three and five years ago. Been on a kick ever since, collecting art, making icons, etc.etc. And I stumbled across JesuOtaku's (of TGWTG.com) Furuba radio drama. And I just started listening to it.

.....and I'm already nervous only ten seconds into the opening narration XD;;

I've never seen the anime, in English or Japanese, so I have no voices attached to the characters in my brain. The idea of hearing them is....very odd to me, especially since I've "known" these characters for so long without sound. Also, it makes me a bit nervous that I might hear a voice I disagree with, or that any of my favorite characters will sound "wrong" to me.

So....yeah. I'm either gonna love this, or run away screaming.

::Edit:: Ok yeah no, this isn't gonna work out. First character speaks and I'm already disappointed--Tohru doesn't sound....like Tohru. The voice they used is deeper than I'd have imagined, and sounds too....sad? Iunno how to explain it, but when I think of Tohru I think of someone that'd sound bubbly and sweet, not slightly congested and stunted (as in, the actress doesn't read lines very well...).

*shrug* I know I could listen some more to see if the other characters are decent, buuuuut... I don't wanna P;

If Tohru doesn't hit the mark, then I imagine the rest of this series will be slightly painful since she's the main character (and one I really like). Oh well then, back to my fanart <3
