Yeah. I remember Kishi himself stated a long time ago valid reasons why technology was always limited. It's sad to see what's happened.

Oh yeah that's right I remember he said something like that in a interview , yet another thing he retconed .

This one-shot had one purpose and one purpose only. To introduce Himawari's character for the sake of the next-generation. That's it. Naruto's inauguration wasn't even the main show. Naruto's big day was used and tampered with just so Burrito's psychotic sister could get some background along with introducing the conflict between Burrito and Himawari. Even if the chapter was about his inauguration to Hokage (which shouldn't be a separate chapter in the first place, but actually apart of the original MANGA where he's surrounded by his LOVED ONES after EARNING IT) - it'd be empty and have no meaning. After everything's that happen in this ending with TL, NG, Hinata, Boruto etc.?...yeah no. Canon has been destroyed. The title of Hokage has no meaning now that the story ended like that too. None. I don't even care about him becoming Hokage, as if him becoming Hokage = change. How empty. 

 

Himawari shouldn't be able to use the byakugan if she wasn't born with it. That isn't how the hyuga clan or the byakugan works, half-breed or not. How much rectons are going to happen? First Boruto + chidori, Boruto + gentle fist, Sarada + sharigan, Sarada + super strength, now Himawari + byakugan and Himawari + perfect technique? What the hell, lol. The recton is too damn much, can't believe this is all happening just so the story could be milked through this pathetic next generation.

 

Even something as Naruto's inauguration was messed up just for next-gen purposes. I'm so done.

 

By the way - is it still bothering anyone that Hinata basically replaced Sakura as the girl in Naruto's life? An irrelevant secondary character. It should be Sakura beside Naruto. It's been like that through the entirety of the manga, but ever since the ending it's just been Naruto and Hinata and their mess of a family. I can't believe Sakura wasn't even beside Naruto on his big day. Just watching from the crowds. The girl who's been supporting his dream ever since part 1! And Ms. irrelevant secondary character over there was never even in his circle of friends to know him at all. Where's Tsunade too? I didn't even see her.

Ah once again tone.Because if he has an affectionate tone people will justify it that Naruto just dropped the honorific because if you're close to someone in japan you can drop the honorific to show how close you are. Despite the fact that Naruto rarely uses honorifics unless it is for respect for his immediate superiors Kakashi-sensei and yamato-taicho or to be affectionate baachan erosennin Sakura-chan.

It really shows how much Kishimoto cares about his main character. After all, he did say that Naruto's role in the story was pretty much over after he brought Sasuke back even though Naruto really didn't succeed with that either.

In a way you could say it shows how much Kishi cares about himself. Since he said multiple times that he and Naruto are similar.

Not shock at all. This manga suffers from horrible internal consistency problems. Even the much superior Part 1 has glaring problems (like what was Kakashi doing when naruto was being ostracized?).  They are all over the place in Part 2 and the spin off material. It's solution to obstacles or writing itself into a corner is to just make kitten up and pray not notices or cares.

Pretty self-explanatory. Don't even know why Sarada should be having that sharingan in the first place, it's bad news. How she unlocked it the way she did just discarded what the manga already established....kind of a big insult to the other Uchiha's who had to experience horrible things to unlock theirs too!

Oh my mistake. I just grazed that chapter because the Uchiha bore me and I don't care for all that text. The one thing I understood was that Uchiha's need to experience strong emotion and I thought the hatred/loss was only for developing new powers of the sharingan. Again, my mistake.

 

However it should be noted that that page itself is a retcon. Sasuke first activated his sharingan (that we see) when he thought Haku was going to kill him and Naruto. He didn't actually lose anything, I think it was the desperation, fear, and determination that pushed him to unlock it. The whole Uchiha thing is a mess and it had the most pages dedicated to it lmao.

 

Yea the guy who invented it did so to make training a thing of the past apparently. What's worse is according to a summary, the guy who made it was a decent but arrogant guy. Totally harmless, just a little thoughtless with his words when speaking the leader of all the ninja.

 

As a matter of fact, imagine how much more sense would be made if HE caused the conflict. What if the plot went something like this?:

 

Thanks to all of the treaties, trade between all nations is booming. Therefore, escort missions and deliveries are at an all time high and are in fact the only missions available. Naruto is working so hard at the office because of the high volume of missions he has to hand out. But he works so hard at it out of the affection he has for the ninja profession. Being a ninja was his whole life (literally) and with wars being a thing of the past, he wanted to keep the profession relevant. No one needs to hire assassins anymore, they just need someone to keep them safe from the occasional bandit. Chuunin and Jounin are a bit restless, but it gives Genin something to do. Ninja go to the academy to learn how to defend yada yada.

 

However, out of the village comes this kitten. He says with his invention, civilians will be safer than ever because they can use jutsu at the push of a button and no longer need to spend so much money paying a ninja to escort them to a destination and back.

 

Naruto is against this obvious reasons and then we get a movie with message about how careful we must be about technology (since the technology in Boruto seems to be a sore spot for even the fans). In addition, action can come from the idea that selling such obviously dangerous technology to just ANYBODY will lead to misuse or it falling into the wrong hands. Someone setting it off at the wrong time (during an argument on accident, blah blah) could lead to an actual conflict.

 

Boruto's story could be him and Naruto learning once more about the importance of forgiveness and how revenge is NOT (always) the right answer. Boruto could argue that the conflict is necessary and Naruto could argue that a peaceful resolution can be reached. And the ninja are in conflict because again, the older ninja remember the glory days of fighting for your home and younger ninja would be scared or excited about possibly having to actually fight.

 

It would be a way he could properly teach the lesson he's been trying to teach the whole manga (and failed at).

 

I don't know what hurts more. What we actually got, or what we could've got.

 

 

 

Also, personally, I think he would've found a lot of success and NOT piss Naruto off if he made it to be some kind of home security system. Robbers would be the thing of the past.

When I think of all this it really makes me wonder how Naruto got so popular in the first place. I think it was the charm. There was such a charm to Naruto, both the manga and the character, in Part 1.

It's charm is some people like the morals of the story, some liked the action, it's likability and reliability of it characters. Also it was on toonami is why it became so popular.

speaking of dbz the tone of this series has changed BIG time. and not for the better imo.

Super is primarily breaking up the Battle of Gods and Resurrection of F movies into TV series style episodes rather than just compressed and compact movie format, so hopefully we'll get a bit more detail on some things that the movies may have missed out on given the Battle of Gods part has already started (SSj3 Goku just getting effortlessly owned by Beerus on King Kai's planet)..

And seriously...a female Gohan? A bit of a problem there.....GOHAN HAD ACTUAL CHARACTER AND POWER DEVELOPMENT THROUGHOUT THE SERIES.
