I know this doesn't belong in here, but I feel like I need to say this:
I just saw the new character designs for the Digimon sequel that comes out next year... uuhh, what the kitten happened to the character designs from the original series?! I know characters grow and change, but it feels like we have complete different characters here. Pls tell me these are not the final character designs for the reboot of the series T_T

Most likely you are right. He finally lets Gai opening all the inner gates and even gives him a background story. While I personally thought that it did not fit into the entire war arc, the way Kishi set it up was supposed to prepare us for Gai's death. Such a big asspull. He introduces Kaguya out of nowhere, and in the end we practically know nothing about her. He ends the story with leaving the following people out:Team Taka, Kabuto, Orochimaru, and Yamato. We will never find out in the Manga what happened to them (kitten that Boruto movie). You can't do that to your fans, Kishi, you just don't. He promised us that we would get a Kakashi arc. Never happened. He promised just recently at the beginning of this year that we would get to see Kakashi's face. We can wait a life time for this to happen now

Yeah it seems like he didn't really have any plan and was just writing as things came to him. Oh, and I guess we never got that Kakashi arc because he didn't want him getting too popular over Naruto. If anyone deserved their own arc it should have been Sakura, she is supposed to be the heroine after all, but I guess Kishi stopped caring at some point. A damn shame, lots of missed oppertunities.

:O New Digimon series? OMG!! Where did you find this?

It's been known for a while now that it there will be a reboot of the series ^_^ It will depict the characters from Season 1 and possible Season 2 (looks like it'll focus on the characters from Season 1 more since the new characters from Season 2 were left out in this pic).

Tai, Matt and everyone else will be in High School (around 17 yrs old I think) while Karin and TK should be in middle school (they have green uniforms unlike the others).

It comes out next year. Even though I don't like the character designs, I'm still gonna watch it! I'm so pumped Next to Tokyo Ghoul and Fate/ Stay Night- UBW, I can't wait for this anime to come out!

This is my theory. Kishi decide nh in 2010 after the sakura poor reception of her confession and the rise of Hinata popularity. That is the year kishi give up on sakura as the heroine and NS.
That's why we doesn't get any meaningful two side NS interaction.

Thanks to you I know another proof that Kishi make/build romance story.

Lol, I remember watching it all of the time on Jetix when I was a kid. Great memories 
I didn't really like Magnadramon that much. I had thought Angewomon would have evolved into Ophanimon instead. Kari & Gatomon along with TK and Patamon were my favorite characters from the first series

I'm not talking about that. I know that, but look at how different the drawing style is! It's been 16 yrs, so it's expected for the characters to look different, but not this drastically. The irises of these characters are so strangely small... I do not know anything about the process of drawing anime characters, but to me they just seem so different... I'm pretty sure that I'll get used to these new character designs though (hopefully).

Btw, does anyone know whether it is the same anime studio from back then that is know animating the reboot?

What?! But Magnadramon was so kickass! I thought the pink cat/dragon thing was very fitting for Gatomon.

I'm also looking forward to this new series to take my mind off the tragedy that is Nardo.

Yeah, this is more or less a sequel to Season 2.

They look bland as hell. XD. The only ones who look decent are Kari and Mimi. Matt and TK look kinda girly (THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE HOT DAMMIT!) and Tai looks boring without goggles. Izzy and Joe are ok.
Still watching the new series. Hopefully they retcon the ending so it's TaixSora this time hehe (along with TKxKari)
