In game news looks like Nintendo has found another way to take money from the fans with a new 3DS (with a bigger screen).
http://www.standard....en-7875908.htmlEhh, I'm happy with my launch 3DS.

I'm a little surprised they didn't opt to integrate the Circle Pad Pro in the design, but I'm also glad that they didn't, as it might have risked making the original 3DS a bit redundant. The XL screens could be nicer for watching 3D movies as well.
I'm too lazy to find the story, but I believe Iwata and Miyamoto have mentioned in the past that they don't have any interest in mandatory or story-centric DLC, but they both seem to like the idea of extending game life with it.
Well, that's reassuring to hear. As long as the DLC isn't mandatory in terms of the base game, and it offers reasonable value for money, I'm happy.

Anyways, this was also shown on Nintendo Direct last night.
Super Smash Bros. 4 will be Co-Developed by Namco-BandaiI'm really interested in seeing how this turns out. Sakurai and Sora are still heading it, but I really want to see what Bamco brings to the mix. We might see some of their characters in the next game, like Pac-Man or Lloyd Irving. Since Tales of Symphonia was originally a Nintendo exclusive (and still technically is in the West), I think the latter's a definite possibility.
*crosses fingers*
It's really interesting that the new Smash Bros game will be out on 3DS
AND Wii U. From what I understand, Namco is doing the bulk of the development, while Sakurai and Sora are doing the overseeing. It'll definitely be interesting to see what Namco characters they include, and what they bring in terms of fighting moves! I do wonder how they will port Smash Bros to the 3DS, though, as it does have a small screen. There were times on the Wii/GC that the action could get a bit hard to see when the level was zoomed all the way out.
Oh, and make the new Smash Bros ONLINE. Please?
