Okay, Okay...

 

I have a question, I know The Last doesn't have a pretty score on the Japanese Yahoo page, yet what other proof do we have that this movie is being torn apart from fans in Japan? I am aware there are some of us here that have already seen the film and feel as if it is terribly, but I can't trust people's opinion on this site. Of course none of us will like it, it is pretty much sounds like a NH fan's wet dream. So what real proof that this film is being as hated as we all claim it is, because this movie could have its fans.

 

I feel like we are making a lot of assumptions here, base on very few and selective information. Now, don't get wrong, this movie, basing only on the plot only, sounds really..............................................

 

And that is nice way to say it, though I haven't seen the movie, so I wont make any judgment calls. I just want to know if people in Japan really do feel the way we say we do. I know we have brought up responses from Japanese comments, however I can't trust if that is how most people feel or just a minority in Japan.

if that's the case then you might as well not believe anything anyone here is saying and assume that the movie is well liked.

At the premiere of THE LAST, Kishimoto sensei said that the manga's ending will have a new character inheriting parts of 'Hyuga Neji' name.  A bolt is a 'tool' that form bonds / makes a connection. And that meaning has been embedded into the new character.  

 

When I served as editor in the past, I was asked "Other than Naruto, what other characters do you like?", and I always answered "Neji". This interpretation of the character makes me feel very happy.

 

The story of [Naruto] is that, Naruto works hard to make people acknowledge him, and then people will be changed because of him. And in this story, the character that emphasize this point the most is "Neji".

 

Therefore, even though Neji you are not in The Last, there is somebody inheriting Neji's legacy.

Yea there was a review on Yahoo jp that said to rent GOTG or take a nap...and another said they had a hard time staying awake.

One even called it a Fanfic.

Well here's my dilemma, I do trust a lot of people on this site. Hell I was in a podcast with several of you. And the movie does seem dumb to me, it is just that I am aware that I am bias and don't want to blind me from the truth. I would go ask NH fans, but...... (sorry any lurkers) I trust far less to give a proper critical census.

 

My issue really comes from me trusting what everyone says, despite not providing links or proofs. Sometimes that's all you have to go by really, it is just I need more than that at times. If I have to be skeptical of what NH fans say, I feel like it is fair for me to be skeptical of what we say.

Well they seem to not care about that at all, an example would be the movie supervisor' s words:

"As long the animation is top notch it doesn't matter what it's in there"

I feel all these quotes and interviews are just making them dig a bigger hole for them... Especially if people are as upset with the movie as it seems.

Lots of japanese users in tumblr were saying the movie is underwhelming (even the neutrals)
Its only a NH love story and only the hardcore NHfans and those who considered Hinata the "best girl " or "best waifu" (and self-insert themselves as Naruto) are going to like this movie.

At 2ch there's more than 180 anti last threads man, the reception is pretty bad.

Even if the Last profits, it's gonna go down as the worst Naruto movie ever.( If Bolt doesn't manage to surpass it that is.)

 

Even though Kishi made a lot of money over the past 15 years, his reputation is trashed.

 

Even though SP are supposed to be professionals, Japaneses fans are calling them out on their hate on certain Naruto characters and blaming them for making Kishi think Hinata was so popular.

 

Even though I should be sad about NS happening, I'm glad that nH was made canon this way.

 

Everything just seems to be a joke now, when it comes to Naruto. Whether it be this movie, the interviews, or the way SP are going so far as to delete negative comments on Yahoo, to cover their asses.

 

This is all just so amusing and I've never been more happy to lose in my life.
