At the time being we're still in the red zone. The film is getting praise from NH fans in the west and paid off critics. Reception has been pretty bad in Japan but nothing to do with pairings so their fans Kishi and SP can still win back

The Last accumulating double the production costs is practically guaranteed. It's earning at a slower pace compared to how long it took for RtN's return to become net gains, but it could be argued that the greater budget is making it difficult for sales to exceed its costs quickly. 

Double yes, but it earning at a slower pace just shows that people don't like not, not because it has a bigger budget

This is gonna be their biggest downfall, that's for sure :down:Yeah, it's definitely starting to look that way, because his interviews makes it feel like he has no idea what's going on around him when he speaks.

It's sad really, one would think that the people around him will tell him the truth and for the author himself to see if what they're saying is true

Well it was obvious this movie would earn a lot, after all it had that false propaganda about being the last movie and other kitten. Not to mention the fraud of the tickets.

I am more satisfied to know that the movie is not well received among the japanese fans. That's what it counts,

It was expected since they literally lied to the fans & stole their money.

But with all the bad reviewes the movie is getting makes it all up. Well to me it does lol.

One thing that we can do to help at this point is purchase Road to Ninja on DVD or Blu Ray, and help counter balance the earnings of The Last that way.

1. We don't really know if any critics have been paid to right a good review.

2. They are still the minority.

3. In the end, it doesn't matter what kind of reception the movie gets. The company will only care how much it receive.

But what counts for long run are views about the movie

Like for example, a celebrity or any important person say this in future for an upcoming movie "I hope it doesn't become The Last v2.0"

this will really give others a BAD impression for it qualitatively

I have a question, I know The Last doesn't have a pretty score on the Japanese Yahoo page, yet what other proof do we have that this movie is being torn apart from fans in Japan? I am aware there are some of us here that have already seen the film and feel as if it is terribly, but I can't trust people's opinion on this site. Of course none of us will like it, it is pretty much sounds like a NH fan's wet dream. So what real proof that this film is being as hated as we all claim it is, because this movie could have its fans.

 

I feel like we are making a lot of assumptions here, base on very few and selective information. Now, don't get wrong, this movie, basing only on the plot only, sounds really..............................................

 

And that is nice way to say it, though I haven't seen the movie, so I wont make any judgment calls. I just want to know if people in Japan really do feel the way we say we do. I know we have brought up responses from Japanese comments, however I can't trust if that is how most people feel or just a minority in Japan.
