Pinkie, you really pick the worst people to debate with laugh.gif I recommend you ignore them if their arguemnts aren't worth your time. If they can't see that Sakura's developed feelings for Naruto... I'm afraid they're reading a different manga.

Your'e Right Froot!. a_thumbs.gif Lately, I have been in a debate in the other forums. Most of them are "like that, ignoring the developments of Sakura" and I had a wasted time arguing that first I thought, a NH/SS fan but as expected "trolls". sweat.gif

but the new ending gave me a "strong feeling" fu.png

Most N/H and S/S fans is a complete waste of time to have a decent debate with them and it's pointless (example youtube dry.gif) most of them are ignoring N/S moments or the entire development since part 2 started. They are still saying that Sakura loves Sasuke or that Naruto has secret feelings for Hinata *face palm*

Yeah, it was a 12-13 year old girl's crush on a boy that she idealized into something he never was. I think she started to recognize this when she made her confession.

Sakura clearly had already moved on from Sasuke and fallen in love with Naruto during the 2 1/2 years they spent apart. A girl wouldn't blush and flirt in such an overt way- inviting him to look at her body in a sexual way- with a boy that she still had only platonic feelings for. laugh.gif Sakura already knew before she saw Naruto in 248 she was feeling some sort of decidely nonplatonic feelings about him. Tsunade clearly looked aware of this too. So during the training Sakura probably said things about Naruto that Tsunade knew showed Sakura was falling for him. (probably things like fairly regularly asking if she'd heard anything about how Naruto's training was going, and Tsunade noted the tone in Sakura's voice and the frequency of the question.) When we first see Sakura she is looking out a window and Tsunade is coming into the room behind her and says that Naruto is returning today, the next we see them Sakura is walking around town with Tsunade and that's when she and Naruto meet up.

Well, that makes sense. XD I'd thought from the beginning that early on, in spite of her earlier attitude about her superficial crush on Sasuke, even if it became genuine for a time, and even how she tried to be nicer to Naruto but didn't succeed too often, that she had grown some feelings for him by getting to see the real him in action, and not just imagining him like she did as someone who'd give up at the drop of a hat or would have to learn to be a ninja from her and such. You can tell too just by her simple actions early on, as you've said, like when Naruto took on Kakashi and she looked worried before Kakashi did A Thousand Years of Death, and her slight blush of awe when seeing Naruto catch Kakashi off-guard. As well as her blushing badly when Naruto got his headband back from Zabuza, as well as her shock when Naruto didn't give up like she assumed he would when Squad 7 was doing the treeclimbing training, as well as her excitement at Naruto's arrival during the fight with Haku.

I think she just was trying to hide her feelings by acting like she still hated Naruto, besides just feeling she was justified, even when he really wasn't being rude, like with his calling Lee Bushy Brow or his comment at his knowledge of the Hyuga and little things like that. It'd make sense, since Sakura as a kid wasn't very honest with herself and what she really wanted, just because of Sasuke, and her wanting to NOT try to one-up him when she easily had the brains to do so.

I also imagine what REALLY might have culminated Sakura's feelings of possible love for Naruto is when she realized he'd always understood her and how she never understood him before the Sasuke Retrieval Squad set off, and it's reflected in her words. As she said (according to the dub); "More than anyone else... you always understood me... always been there when I needed help".

So that could be a reflection of her realizing that even if she asked something so selfish of Naruto that perhaps she'd misunderstood him and how she felt about him. And we saw too how more concerned she was with Naruto after seeing how hurt he was because of her request as well as because of Sasuke after the mission failed, in spite of her sadness of Naruto not being able to keep his promise. That's probably why she was being so subtle about wanting him to not pursue Sasuke anymore, since she didn't want to see him get hurt like that again.

I just a few days ago reread the chapter when Naruto returned fro VOtE and it seemed more to me that Sakuras comment about bringing Sasuke back together was more for Narutos sake to help him keep his promise, than Sakuras need to have Sasuke back for herself. I think she understood that Sasuke isn't coming back and if retrieved by force he would do everything to get out of there once again.

Yeah, I feel it was because of Naruto's determination and her desire to support Naruto's goals that Sakura didn't give up on Sasuke before she finally couldn't sustain that illusion of Sasuke's redemption anymore. For her every time she cried about Sasuke the illusion broke a bit more. The final straw for her was the revelation from Karui and Omoi that Sasuke had joined the Akatsuki and had hunted the 8 tails. Naruto still was desperately clinging to the shards of his illusion about Sasuke's redemption when he passed out.

You two bring up a good point. I feel with Naruto, perhaps why it's so hard for Naruto is because of the fact Sasuke was one of his first friends, and that's an image that's hard to let go, in spite of the fact Sasuke is causing him and Sakura so much pain.

? is this true about the narusaku hug

QUOTE
I have read somewhere, in Jump Fiesta, that the NaruSaku hug was not meant to be interpreted as Romantic. It was meant to show that Sakura can be nice and caring and gentle.

QUOTE
Where'd you read this? In Jump fiesta, where I did read it and It was confirmed, that it was meant to show Sakura is caring of Naruto.

QUOTE
Not Romantic. Translations arent always right or confirmed to be true. People can say their neutral doesnt mean they dont like one more than the other and put it in you guys' favor.

QUOTE
Jump fiesta wasnt translated by a Fan. I believe its by a corporation or something. You have no proof what it says its false. or what you read is true.

QUOTE
I mean seriously, the internet isnt that reliable.

she thinks that it is the confirm trans but never read the neutral trans

Even without the interview, its already implied.

Hand in hand, cheek by cheek. It's the most romantic gesture in the manga.

Whoever says its not is in denial.

In the confirmed jump fiesta interview:

1. Kishi never said that Sakura still loves Sasuke he left than hanging in the air but he said that Naruto is close, giving us a small hint that Sakura's feelings for him are getting close of being romantic.

2. Kishi said that the intention he made the hug is in a romantic way.

3. Kishi said that when he draw Sakura hugging Naruto his heart skipped a beat.

This was confirmed by N/Sasu fans who play fair and don't let their fandom brainwash them like certain people from certain fandom. happy.gif

Yes, and the fact is Kakashi and the children around them were blushing at the hug! Why would Kishimoto draw that if it was meant to be friendly?

Honestly, I have to say my patience wears thin with NH fans who insistently deny every single scene that shows Sakura's feelings for Naruto aren't exactly platonic. I have no problem with them liking NH- heck, I'll admit I was once a NH fan too- but must there be this categorical denial of reality and bashing of Sakura? happy.gif

I mean, I myself didn't think I had to deny that Hinata did care and love Naruto to support NaruSaku, even if I think she kind of views him in a idealized version and may not see the real him that Sakura does- of course largely in part because Sakura and Naruto spent more time together.

And for the sake of flogging a dead horse, we don't hug friends of the opposite gender like that!!!!!! I don't even think in Western culture such a hug would be viewed as a friendly one so easily! Still, some NH fans insist it's just all brother-sister, platonic e.g Now this might be possible if there weren't so many other instances showing Sakura's feelings may be more than platonic.

I like NaruSaku mainly because it's the archetype kind of "boy and a girl who grow up together become more than good friends" smile.gif. I think such relationships can be more natural and honest because the two of them don't start out viewing each other through romantic lenses.

Actually if i remember the interview somebody is talking to kishi He say that his heart was skipping a beat when he or she read that part and that made is opinion of Sakura go up a bit then Kishi answer by saying that it was not is intention (to make Sakura look nicer) when he draw it but if it did well it's okay.

Kishi is not saying that he made the scene in a romantic way but he do not deny it either. wink.gif

(Commonsense back on)

(Nevermind that we know Kishimoto draws dust smudges way differently)

Goodness, I can understand if those NH fans who engage in such illogical arguments like another pairing, but there is a point beyond which it is ridiculous.

I find it almost funny how I'm really beginning to dislike this pairing I used to ship so much... partially because of some of the ridiculous arguments some of their fans use happy.gif

its their calculations that they find their confidence with
it goes this way,

Its because of Sai's statement "Because she loves him", plust the interview, plus the flashback of Naruto of Sakura mostly in part 1 and 2 panels for part 2, plus the confession of Sakura to Sasuke, which it is the most sincere of all confession, plus the thank you of Sasuke is the sign of reciprocation equals there are now canon!... wow.png ...
dry.gif and a lot of hm.png

Not withstanding they are against the mainguyxmaingirl, plus the "TWILIGHT" parrallels are more important than the Sannin wacko.gif
