I think Naruto was serious with his response, which was that she was "sorta, something like that". He knows she might return his feelings eventually, considering the fact that he she has expressed the desire to not like Sasuke anymore. I think he is somewhat pessimistic about it though. I think we should somewhat consider their perspective (not that it was a joke though) because it would be strange for Naruto to be completely positive about Sakura being his girlfriend after the events of the Kage Summit arc.

 

He KNOWS Sakura may not have returned his feelings, that's why he said that not everything is going just the way his mom told him. But he said that he's been trying his best, which is what counts.

True. And even without that whole thing, you tend to be pessimistic about others returning your feelings anyways.

I think it was in the manga. Kishi's dragged out this war for, what, four years?

I wouldn't expect anyone, even the people with the stamina they have in this manga, to be able to fight nonstop for more than a few days. So the last battle at least could not have been any longer than that.

 

It would be pretty unrealistic for even people who can fly and punch goddesses to be fighting for more than that. ( No sarcasam )

 

I was pretty relieved the other chapter when they finally won the war. I didn't know if I would still be alive by the time Kishimoto wrapped up this extremely long, filled with flashbacks ( or maybe that's only the anime, I dunno ) story.

I'm pretty sure Naruto has already made the connection by now. Minato was aware that Sakura was like Kushina no more than 10 seconds after meeting her, so why wouldn't Naruto know this by now?

Guys you realize the fatal flaw in the nh and SS arguements right now? 

Naruto told all the stuff to minato, for minato to tell to Kushina, in all this time he never even met hinata, yet he did sakura, so by process of elimination and what minato himself has experienced in his few hours back as an edo tensei, well sakura was the only girl he met in this time so.... There's your answer

They get so caught up in the moment that their praise for the character is excessive and annoying, it's like none of the crew members even measure up to him.
 
I don't really like recaps tbh. It's part of the reason why I stopped watching the anime because that's one of their methods to run up the time for an episode. I'm so in love with Akainu's beard lol. Even though Luffy is my fav character I love seeing him get his ass beat like he stole something. Worlds devil fruit ability is pretty badass too.

  
I haven't really noticed, I'm not really on any one piece forums. But some of the stuff that I've seen is sort if exaggerated.

I just like how that animation was redone. I thought it looked cool. The anime does kinda overdue that recap stuff, so I just skip it. Luffy gets his ass beat enough, I think the war was the pinnacle of that. I'm glad he's strong as hell now. I tell you though, I wanna see him beat Sabo like a drum for not doing anything all this time I also hope he beats that beard off Akainus face, that would be nice lol even though you like it.

Yeah I like it, the second half of season one was kinda bad though. The second season is really good so far. It's ok, love of my life is Naruko. No regrets XD

No, the second half of season one was bad. That whole fairy world stuff. The first part of season one and the current season are really good.

Same here. There are already a ton of people saying that Sabo would destroy Luffy low-dif. I get a lot of hate for saying how much I like Akainu since he killed Ace lol. Luffy has a long way to go before he can even make Akainu sweat.

Let's see, how many girls has Naruto asked out on dates? One. Sakura. He hasn't tried to persuade her otherwise out of respect for her feelings.
And "adament"? Since when has Naruto been happy about her loving Sasuke? Respecting her feelings doesn't mean he likes them.

Nah dude, I don't think it would take that long for luffy to kick akainu ass.
As soon as luffy learn haki, he practically unstoppable.
