This has got to be pointed to NS or what was the point you shure they don't know what kish is going because it would be a wast if NS dident happen

Like I said the animators are only following where Kishi is going in the pairings path and its leading towards N/S. So the animators take their time to make all kinds of things like making endings hinted towards the canon pairing as well as filler moments and openings even omakes. wink.gif

Yah, the anime team finally follow what Kishi's up to.

But in the end, it is STILL filler (totally awesome filler, though)

The Japanese are not blind like certain people from a certain fandom who deny and ignore any N/S moment in the manga or just shrug it off like it was nothing. Then they made fan art base on those N/S moments changing Sakura with Hinata. rolleyes.gif

QUOTE
ここにあるのは 君が今まで選んだみちの
答え達よ ほら自信もって進めばいい
Here are the answers for the road that you have choosen up until now. See, it's fine to proceed with self-confidence,

I'm not sure whose POV this is told from, but I imagine it's Sakura's, so I'll just assume it is. This is how I interpret things:

"Here are the answers for the road that you have chosen up until now." It reminds me of the mistakes Sakura's made, the road she's traveled, which is pretty symbolic what with the Dark-to-Light thing the animators had going on in the videos. "See, it's fine to proceed with self-confidence." Probably wrong, but I don't think this has anything to do with Sakura's confidence in her decision to kill Sasuke, because the anime isn't that far yet, therefore it would be irrelevent. I think it regards to her confidence in general.

QUOTE
とても(?)なの 雨上がりの
アスファルトに 虹が架かるように
It's very (?), like a rainbow mounting over the rain soaked asphalt.

What is "it?" Is it the road? Whatever IT is, "rainbow mounting over the rain soaked asphalt" makes me think of the rainbow after the rain... "No rain, no rainbow," anybody? Sasuke is the rain, and Naruto is the rainbow, mounting over her "rain-soaked" past. Or... that's how I see it laugh.gif

QUOTE
LONELY 風が吹いて
A lonely wind is blowing.

Not much to say, but what's interesting is this:

QUOTE
FEELING 気がついたよ
Notice my feeling. (Can also be translated as "I notice the feeling".)

Could this be Sakura realizing her growing feelings for Naruto?

QUOTE
答えはどこにも無いけど
The answer isn't anywhere but...

CALL ME 分かってるわ
I understand, so call me. (Can also be translated as "You understand, so call me".)

She's saying "the answer isn't anywhere," which i think means basically she can't find the answer, but whoever she's talking to (Naruto) DOES have the answer. (You understand, so call me.)

QUOTE
WITH YOU 愛はいつも
与え合うもの
With you, love is always something attainable.

FOR YOU
For you.

Pretty much speaks for itself laugh.gif

QUOTE
きっと君はいつの日か
この空を飛べるはずだから
Because surely you will one day fly through this sky.

No idea...

QUOTE
何度つまずいたとしても FOR YOU
No matter how many times you trip, for you.

Makes me wonder what "for you" means. The scene where Sakura is reaching her hands out at a lonely Naruto seems to me like she's offering something, thus, "For You," and right before, it says "No matter how many times you trip." Perhaps what she is offering is love? "No matter how Many times you mess up, I will still have love for you?"

QUOTE
大切な事は一つ
夢見る事
There is only one important thing, the things you see in dreams.

心だけは閉ざさないでいて
Only my heart will never be closed.

Kind of confusing for me. Someone else care to interpret?

Now, keep in mind that the lyrics might not even be correctly translated... Not that I'm doubting you, firegirl, but it happens. This is a very loose interpretation and I could be way off, so feel free to disagree.

^Louchan of NarutoForums did the translation, and Innera has already confirmed it is correct, noting that the word she was unsure of due to the kanji was Nature, so that line is "It's very natural, like a rainbow mounting over the rain soaked asphalt" wink.gif

To look at that last line you're confused about Froot, I think that the dreams line is meant to be reflective of Sakura's growing determination over the past few arcs. As for the heart line, that is one that is pretty hard to understand. I don't know what it's supposed to mean other than Sakura's heart is wide open. Perhaps it means that the one thing she can't ignore is her heart...? Given the way Sakura has acted over the current Manga arc, I'd say that it is blatantly clear that Sakura follows her heart, exactly as she had learned way back in Part I on the bridge.

Anyways, I would not be surprised at all if they have been talking to Kishimoto about this, and I believe it's entirely plausible that they've already been shown where it's headed. Or, and this is another good take, they made this part after Sakura had her breakdown, and this is the reaction to her resolve from Sai's news (and that last line supports this theory).

Of course, I'm probably wrong, but if they've been in closer contact with Kishimoto, I would be on cloud 9, that would explain everything, and if the interaction between Kishi and the Anime Team began at the start of Part II, then it would explain why NaruSaku has received as much screentime as possible. Granted, Sakura is a little more Tsun in the Anime than the Manga, but overall, they've really gotten a better grasp on her character than the Part I/Naruto Classic team did.

The lyrics for the current ending song, would the anime team really try that hard to find a song with lyrics matching Sakura's heart and feelings? Seems like a lot of work for them to go so deep to find something like that for her character, but I guess they would. I gotta say, other than the deep meanings to the words in the songs, it has a chill beat to it, I like it much. And of course the part with Jiraiya pushing Naruto into Sakura like that.

Is it just me, I think the ending is the starting point/ opening for the Pain's invasion, inluding Sakura calling Naruto's Name and the hug, to Sai's revelation of Naruto's feelings. unsure.gif

And guys, i got a debate with a SS fan,

she is complaining why the mainguyxmain girl matters, and because this is a shonen manga and how did Sakura developed any romantic feelings on Naruto
Her second question, was answered by the manga chapters. That leaves to her, if she wanted to believed, Sakura never developed any feelings for Naruto. tongue.gif

what's your view on this, guys? err.gif

She's in denial like every S/S fan and N/H fan apparently that fan hasn't checked the third data book on Sakura's profile page" it clearly says "she USED to have a crush on Sasuke."

Also Kishi has said it in many interviews in the past and he also confirms it in other data books that Sakura's love for Sasuke was "selfish and superficial" it wasn't true love. sleep.gif

Yeah, it was a 12-13 year old girl's crush on a boy that she idealized into something he never was. I think she started to recognize this when she made her confession.

Sakura clearly had already moved on from Sasuke and fallen in love with Naruto during the 2 1/2 years they spent apart. A girl wouldn't blush and flirt in such an overt way- inviting him to look at her body in a sexual way- with a boy that she still had only platonic feelings for. laugh.gif Sakura already knew before she saw Naruto in 248 she was feeling some sort of decidely nonplatonic feelings about him. Tsunade clearly looked aware of this too. So during the training Sakura probably said things about Naruto that Tsunade knew showed Sakura was falling for him. (probably things like fairly regularly asking if she'd heard anything about how Naruto's training was going, and Tsunade noted the tone in Sakura's voice and the frequency of the question.) When we first see Sakura she is looking out a window and Tsunade is coming into the room behind her and says that Naruto is returning today, the next we see them Sakura is walking around town with Tsunade and that's when she and Naruto meet up.

Pinkie, you really pick the worst people to debate with laugh.gif I recommend you ignore them if their arguemnts aren't worth your time. If they can't see that Sakura's developed feelings for Naruto... I'm afraid they're reading a different manga.

You mentioned that the animators started cleaning up their act after the first Shippuden episode. It's possible that Kishi was bothered by the NH filler they put in there and told them "You better pay more attention to what I write" or something like that. I know it's highly unlikely, but that's what it seems like to me. laugh.gif

I wonder if ayone but Kishi knows how the series ends?

I wondered the same thing. Is it coincidence that the song fits so well or did they go through thousands of songs until they found the right one? One thing I've noticed about how Japanese music differs from American music (for the most part) is how much more meaningful the Japanese lyrics are and how much more symbolic as well. That said, it might not have been as hard to find such a profound song considering the songs to pick from.

I also like to think that they made a deal with the band to write a song for the ending. Doesn't the band have to approve of their music's use? Again, pretty farfetched, but, it's something. laugh.gif

Not as unlikely as you'd think. The team can ignore Kishimoto, but I know for a fact that Kishi watches the Anime (he has stated that he listens to the BGM when drawing the Manga), and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't want them to miss critical parts.

QUOTE

Maybe his family, and probably his assistants and editors. Other than them, I doubt it.

This is extremely LIKELY, actually. This song, similar to the current opening, tie in to the story far to well to just be some random song, I wouldn't doubt it if they gave the bands commissions to do the songs.
